On the inter webs someone spoke the 24 DRW trucks come with the felt inner fender liners on the rear, sure enough they do and you can order them direct from GM.  They fit into factory holes of the 20+ but there is some holes left in filled.  I chose to pop a few 5/16 holes and use some of the plastic clips gm is so found of using.

Here is finished product after I coated the underside with amsoils under body protection stuff.

Complete as Gm should have shipped it

Washed the truck this eve and winter has taken its toll on my water beading action from the ceramic coat.  So washed and dried.  I pulled the masking tape out and going to use the fine finish polish then re apply the Meguiars ceramic two step.

Passenger side, passenger doors done.

Waxes and polished don’t play well with plastics. Often times the wax will haze or leave white marks all over the plastic
Point in case, not all products do it but most do

Now take for instance the 00-08 Silverado window trim.  That plastic came from the factory with a mat finish. You could polish that from the mat finish to a shine similar to headlights. But for the most often times the textured plastics are rough enough to leave the residue like on that Toyota fender flare.  A good pit of tooth brush n wd 40 can remove it but it’s a PIA that some simple tape helps you avoid

I was thinking you were covering the plastic, but also thought you didn't want to buff through the clear coat on the edges.

When buffing, I tape over the edges and do them by hand...

I haven’t burned through clear or paint in so many years, unintentionally that is.

I need to make a few phone calls about what the best product for this PPF is.  The polish seems to clean it up nice but I’m not sure if or how the ceramic will react to it.

The dash camera me and Flyinhawaiian968 installed seems to continue to work great, thankfully nothing captured is worth sharing. The suction cup has fallen off the windshield twice over the duration of ownership.

The Bulletpoint dash mount has its issues in my opinion. In order to get a phone or screen to not jiggle down the road I have had to rest the arm on the dash.
In order to fix the issue I pulled the 3m tape and used small 4mm screws to bolt it to the plastic tray. It helped a squeak but not fix the jiggle on my phone.

The wireless mag charger seems to work well as far as mag strength and charge speed. It been hardwired to the power plug we put inside the upper glove box. No battery drain issues with such a small draw on the system. Extended parking hasn’t been explored yet.

Rear window still drips ever slightly but not enough I want the dealership to fuk up my interior to fix it.

Tires and icon level kit are still on my list.
Need to order the banks exhaust now that has been released for the DRW truck.

Otherwise very happy with the simple modification I have made.

Washed after the weeks rainstorms that delivered almost three inches of rain to our valley.

So far 10959 miles on the truck, MPG is going up a little bit every couple Of 1k miles I drive it.

Seems I’m due for another oil change, I figure I’ll switch over to amsoil and du fuel filters at the same time.

The banks Idash is still useful, the disturbing part is reading how often my truck keeps regen happening.

Seems I avg about every 400 miles or so. I know it doesn’t see much freeway day to day as the commute to work is only 3 miles and back. But why park the nice ac vehicle when the other car AC sucks

Dave. A buddy of mine with a Ford was re-gening all the time too.
He started running an additive…that eluded me at the moment.

I want to say power service grey jug but not sure.
He now is more like 7-800 miles I think.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

That sounds real nice!! If you would follow up with him and ask what it was for sure.  I do put the amsoil fuel stuff in but it hasn’t changed anything as far as my regen

Dave, he’s using this stuff.

Said it upped the re-gen interval significantly and quieted down the engine noise.

Well just to add insult to being late to work today, I caught my trash can at the street on the way out,

The good news is I have a dent repair guy who says $200 maybe less to fix
The PPF did 100% protect my paint thankfully. So I should be relatively relaxed about how big of a jack ass I am.

Took some adhesive remover and the paint still looks perfect just with some extra anti radar shape to it

He's back!

I thought a hippie commune kidnapped you.

So, two things

Is that yellow tractor yours? I totally missed it if you mentioned it somewhere.

Second, so getting ready to lift the dually?

Definitely not suicided by any means.

The yellow Peterbilt is not owned by me, if the chance comes to purchase I will gladly.  It’s been my company truck for three years now.  We replaced our End dump dirt trailer with a three axle 26ton capacity side dump trailer. Gross 88,000 pounds down the highway.

Yes the dually is getting a face lift, I “need” (want) more bumper clearance for bigger rubber and dirt road capabilities.

Oooh, I like where this may be going.

Oh and getting way out in front of this, but I will be coming down near your AO sometime in July. Doing some wheeling in the snowy range and the Tetons and camping on Freemont Lake. Then plan to blast down to the Colorado to try and run the Red Cone trail. I'll keep advised so maybe I can see you and the lifted 3500 in person.

Got the level/lift kit installed today.
40 inch to top of wheel well is now 42.75”

Nothing to complicated. Rough country does a good job with instructions for install. New arms, new shocks, 2” block in the back.

I still have room to turn the front up but not needed for tire size I’m installing.  Ride is good, smooth, handles bumps well.

Now for an alignment, wheel spacers and tires to be installed later this week if I have time

Yep, now you have a hole to fill.
So, I'd suggest the stock-size tire works well with the leveled look. That and no loss of power and mileage and no computer shenanigans.

Yes, the width of tires need to be spaced to keep from contacting during movement.  Two inches should give me plenty of gap
