You probably unplugged it back when you were going to do it right and drop the tank.

Anyway  I cut the hole, disconnected the wires and got her open. Hole could have a been a little bigger, but it worked (8x8).

Parts were falling off and the pump hose had rotted away. With the condition, the R&R is not worth the time.

Drained another 5-6 gallons of something from the tank using the pump I got for the boat, worked great!

Well TRN dose not like locking hubs because he doesn't like getting red dirt on his loafers or even getting out of his truck when there is a water puddle in the driveway.

So after looking at the pump assembly and the tank after draining I decided to just replace both. The rust and gunk was nasty, so dropping it anyway now

Summit had pumps for $87 ($67 for the 40 gal?) and a dorman 31 gal tank was $107. It was $122 but when I checked to see if the tank was baffled, it showed a diff tank. So I called to change the order and they matched Amazon and gave me free shipping (normally $10 oversize).

All in stock in Reno so will have tomorrow, but another scout event this weekend so will tackle on Monday.

Alright. Nice fun there. Stop making fun of my ostrich loafers.

Wait until I put the grizzly locker in the LB7. It’s still a real truck.

I like ostrich, for my boots. Heck, swelling is down enough I may just get a pair!

Not sure of my rear yet for the LBZ, but the front is getting a truetrac.

Now I have to up the price on this, just dropped another few hundred into it.

Well. I was actually born and raised in Colorado. Arvada to be exact. But haven’t been able to live there in 20 years. Would always love to go back home but could never find a good job there.

Got back from camp today, what a mess it was. Now camp was great, but parking was in single lines and I was like 2 miles out. So after gear was dropped had to go back and get a few little things.

On the building side, I dropped the tank after getting home. Now trying to scape the insulation crud off for reuse.

Thx, have seen them go for a lot more, but I want to move it and it needs paint.

With this and the old add I have 3 parties looking. Bumped it from 2500 to 3000 with all the new stuff.

Clean up the interior this week while waiting for another tank/pump. Went to fast and got the 31 vs the 40.

When running will turn around, change the front studs to 14mm and add locking hubs. Then paint the hood black and address the rusty roof if still here.

What do you think;

Good enough, one misspelling. Would like to have it myself...but with squareD I'd likely not survive the critics!

You’d survive, but only if you went with a duramax swap. There’s a guy sometimes on here who is working one up for an 89 Chevy K2500. He was going to go with a Cummins but opted to go duramax.

It’ll sure sell!

Pump got here today, tank will be here tomorrow. With that I figured finishing off the hatch is in order.

Cleaned the edges up, cut some tabs, drilled holes and spot welded the tabs on. Cleaned up and painted. I will do a "how to" thread on this in the Spartan thread.

Cleaned up lots of wiring, tied up more and pulled out more! You should see the box now! Still 1 crossover to get under the dash behind the radio.

Both rear windows work, power to the fronts so both will get new motors.

Had a little lifter noise at first, but after 14 years I wasn't surprised. I can hear it, any others?

Ran through the gears and it seems to grab good, but haven't actually driven it.

Love to have it gone by the end of the week.

The tank was from 1A Auto and would use them again. Took 3 days to get the tank via amazon from Kansas.

Used #30 felt for the padding and adding the tank opening is a no brainer. Made it so easy to hook up, should be standard! The motorcycle jack made it easier too once the neck was in.

Going to seal it up with a little silicon and call it a day.

Its all good Don, Ken still a little sore over that election thing.

Back to JR's build.  Great you got it running it is really clean for what it is if I was a Chevy guy I would seriously consider it.

You might try selling it on Craigs list back east, now that you have it running and stopping it could be shipped.  the rust belt guys i would be pretty excited if they could get ahold of it!

Depending on what search engine you use it does show up. I have a hit from Penn right now. I like searchtempest, plus is was on pirate which I need to repost.

Someone coming over today to look at it from the bay area. Got the back together and cleaned out. Doing the front now. The bozo I got this from cut air ducts out for the stereo.

Well, had a guy come up from San Jose and paid full price for it. Told him I was not flexible on the price, and he still came up.

Still had to do the hubs, front studs and rebuild the dash. Found it had a small radiator leak is the worst part.

Now I have $$$ to get springs for the Dmax.

True, I'd testify to that. Cali carz around here are hot tamales!
