Pullin any trail in that city is tough.   More stones than I have.  Glad nothing serious with the hit and run.

If you ask me, the biker had it coming. I absolutely hate lane splitters. I know it’s legal in Kali, but they have all been making their way north and doing it here where it is NOT legal.

Nice find on the tractor.

Bigger issue is the biker is guilty of hit and run......

They just passed it in Utah,   From a bike point I see the value at stop lights and so forth or maybe in stopped traffic but not while flowing traffic.

Imagine if he had his head up just a little bit and hit JR’s tow mirror.  Knock you right the hell off the bike or kill ya.   Then you have a flying bike with no rider.

I agree, for getting up to a light I understand. But splitting at freeway speeds is stupid. I do believe traffic has to be going under 25 for it to be legal, but how would you get to them. Darwin has a place here. Leaving the scene is just a misdemeanor.

Yes I have a dash cam, still sitting in the box.  :embarrassed:

Ok, its a 2012 L45.

So, does this tractor make my but look fat  :beercheers:

I probably misunderstood.

That L45 looks like it has good hydraulic flow for one that size.

Can't believe those things are 45k new.
Seems like you came out alright on the price. Now get it dirty!

Just the wrong color, and I will not wear a hard hat (head is hard enough)

So heading up to Reno next week with the family. Going to sign all the stuff, let them look at the land and thinking of dropping the toy off at the local dealer for a once over. Will let me park the trailer while I am there, service is backed up a couple weeks. They said around 4-500 for the service. Sound about right guys?

Buy that time I should have a better idea of what I want do out there. Tractor will be waiting and I can drag the trailer back and forth pretty easy.

I also need a storage bin on the trailer. Do the prices at TSC seem about right.

What kind of storage bin? You could mount a truck tool box/ fuel tank.

Just a bin on the side of the frame. Looks like I have about 18in to the frame.

I am also thinking of attaching a 6k winch I have sitting here. Think that will come in handy time to time, but I want a bolt on mount. Trailer has a built in 12v charger and a little solar unit. The tilt has 2 rams and locks down.

The tongue box has the hydo system and a Costco soap bucket fits in there great. So it holds a few straps and bungee's. Now I need a place for the chains, binders and blocks.

Will do. Alum on ebay is easy so far, but they are all not built how I like.

Shipping might be an issue, but fasenal may work.

Guy just called, found a storage place nearbuy.

JR, I never kept the expensive chains and binders on the trailer unless I was planning on using them. They hang on a piece of alum flat stock in my shop always and away from the front door so they don’t grow legs....

Straps and bungees are cheap along with a bottle jack that I keep in the box on the tongue. If they get stolen not a huge loss.

Might look at tractor supply or harbor freight for aluminum storage box for the chains and binders.

If you are looking for boxes and don't care if they are used look on Facebook marketplace or semi truck junk yards.

????????????

Under the deck to the frame is 18.5, so 18in gives me a little overhang. About 36 under the deck, so I want some ground clearance.

My kids are into that crud, not approved but the wife thinks its all a joke.

Anyway, on the way to Reno in the am for some signing, funds transferred.

Dropped off the Kub at a dealer a little north for a once over and oil change. Unless major I will do it from here out.

Trying to decide if I want a box scaper or leveler for cutting and making roads. Open to suggestions.

Leave my gf out of this... she's going to run again.. ain't got no time for you deplorables.
I find the box scraper way more useful than a blade, for moving dirt around and contouring. The only time I have used my blade was when building a wash, to make a V trench. Probably be good for maintaining a long driveway also.
The Gannon gets used every time I start the tractor.

The box blade with removable rippers is my go to.  That along with the FEL on float setting is more than adequate for building a road and creating V ditches when you adjust the side link to cut a trench.
