any electrical connection. Bulb sockets, etc.
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Having battery system charging issues again PO621.

My vlts Meter has been all over the place. 14.2-13.2.    Not sure what to do but drop it off at the stealership next

Sounds like a bad clutch. Won't let it spin up. I had the same sometime back.

I got a P0089 this weekend going over Donner Summit. Limped until I shut down and ran fine the rest of the weekend.

I need to clean the injectors, install the PPE valve and check the lift pump.

My lift pump is getting tired for sure

You think the clutch on the alternator is bad?   I replaced it just 2019.

Learned today I don’t owe the government a five figure check for taxes.  About to start seriously looking at thermal scopes

If Biden wins I’ll need the thermal for sure

Plus I’ll be in ID or WY on top of a mountain.

Yeah I thought the same and sent my stuff into the tax guy wanting an estimate to start gathering the cash. Guess the 6 figures I paid in taxes I. 2019 was finally enough.

Pretty cool Jon and Dave.
Pretty high altitude to still have that much snow? My place in Idaho was melted off about a month ago.

Nate, I ran and spent a lot of money on maintaining, the higher end softeners at my house and shop. Finally switched to the cheaper ones and they work just as good, so far. (Like 800 on Amazon).
Just throwing that out there
Ken google earth pin,

This is the peak we tried to make it to.

I second that. Couldn’t stomach the price of Kinetico so bought a Fleck-based unit on Amazon for about $700. Doing what it’s supposed to and installed it all myself.

Just been running around Western Nebraska. I turned around on the sand road. I really wanted to go up to chimney rock but driving the Freightliner and pulling the camper my luck I'd get stuck up there.
Got a tire rubbing. I think only when I make sharp turns. There is an inch of clearance on this side. 4 inches on the other. Further inspection I have bent shackles. 600 miles to home. I'm going to keep a close eye on it. If it starts wearing off the letters I'm done. I will find a welding shop and fix it on the road. If it stays like this should be fine. In get it fixed at home.

Wasn’t me, but my dog has never made a brown spot in my grass. I don’t know whether to attribute it to the food we feed her or what, but I’m very happy she doesn’t.

it was me dave.

I give mine a shot glass worth of regular tomato juice every morning with his kibble and I have yet to ever have yellow spots in my grass.

it may also mean that your dogs are constantly going in one place and it may need to get watered more than other areas to help dilute the urine.

Negative. Topped with flagstone and mortar.

TRN, meet Murphy. After bragging about my SDS hammer drill I made it through one 3/4 inch hole and now I’m on my way to HD to get a new one. Think the clutch needs adjust/replace but I don’t have time to fitz with it.

Thanks for the post about HD this morning Shawn. I normally go to Lowe’s but I’m going to HD from now on.

We to to Carhenge. A remake of Stonehenge bit with cars. It was interesting picking out all the different makes.
Then we went to the fur traders museum. In the back they have an original 1800s traders dugout. That was really cool.

Pretty cool Jon. Good times.

Got all holes drilled and stainless 3/4 all thread cut and flagstone ground flat/level.  Just need to clean holes and  drop epoxy.

Then I can start welding up the columns to the base plates and then make the beam pockets before ordering the LVL beams and lumber.

Yes IIRC. On 3/4 stainless all thread the pull out for 6 inch is something stupid like 18000 lbs. given I have flagstone on top it’s probably only 4 in the slab but that’s still about 12000 each.

Also your bolting to the corner of the slab.   The redhead has the potential to crack the corners out

So we got the kiddos roof replaced.
They don’t make kids like they used to.
One honest day of work and they’re done.  :knucklehead:

At the cabin again. Could have been last week if we were home.
Moved the dock yesterday by myself again. Getting good at solo dock ops.
Hauled cinder blocks for the pizza oven base, some reinforcing mesh and some cedar.
Should have bought more in hindsight. 12 bucks for 5/4 x 5 16 footers. Oops. My bad.

Having some oatmeal looking at three foot rollers and thinking we may be here for the night still.
When it’s this bad at our place it’s double or better the other side.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Hmm.  Who made those kids, Sam?

Dave, I’m hoping that Ive got this things engineered enough to to not need any additional bracing. 3.5x14 LVL set in 4 inch deep pockets welded to the columns and Simpson Tie nails through holes in the brackets. (Or screws, not sure yet) and the columns bolted to the slab.

Getting ready for a trip to the beach with the fam.  Should be interesting, going with another family who is just as paranoid about the covid as my wife is.  The husband is a real liberal so it should be interesting given the events of the past two weeks.  We usually have constructive discussions as we leave emotions out and debate facts. Curious as to his take.  Sometimes he surprises me.  He’s fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

Cutting some grass on the Steiner today and something felt odd, a thump that I just couldn’t place. Turns out I need a new wheel. Not sure yet if the lug nuts came loose or what.  Note to self, proper preventive maintenance would prevent such things. In my defense, first time I’ve driven it in over a month, others were cutting grass previously.  Just glad I didn’t lose the wheel completely

I’d suggest other than a little BS luck that wheel is lost.
I agree with you 100%.  When I saw what it looked like, I decided to roll the dice and head back to the garage because I was right beside the road and didn’t want to leave it there.  I think that was the most suspenseful 800 ft I’ve ever driven on a tractor.

jon, did you get the camper axle figured out / fixed?
Nope. I'm going to try to limp it  home.  Currently in custer SD. 450 miles or so from home.  It don't rub all the time but now the nubs are rubbed off the side wall.  Just watching it close.
