Father, raise up this young man as he sets himself against the enemies of this great nation. Watch over him today, tomorrow, and every day and comfort him and his family (Mom and dad especially) as the anniversary of loss comes. Let them not dwell on the temporary loss, but on the reuniting of them all some day in your great house.
And Father, while you're at it, watch over all our brave servants wherever they are. Fire fighters, police, warriors, Doctors and Nurses. Watch over the comforters and those who suffered loss. We are your people and for a time we are in this physical world of which we are merely passers-by enroute to our eternal home. But in this time we are allowed to learn lessons. Some good, and some not so good. I lift up those in times of trouble, strife, sadness, loneliness, pain or other affliction.
Thank you father for being you!

Folks,

Could use some prayer for my wife. She has had an issue with her eye for most of this year and doctors keep telling her it is allergies. Which the meds and eye drops are not doing anything.

She has pretty consistent headaches, her eye (just one not both) constantly looks like it’s covered in pink eye, and she is starting to loose focus and vision over all in it.

These last few days it seems to be getting worse. More redness, more pain more blurry. She has requested not to have to drive because she doesn’t feel comfortable with her depth perception.

She is going to try and get in on Monday and hope we can get a better answer than allergies, cause it sure ain’t that.

Thank you in advance for lifting her up. It’s hard to watch her suffer close to endlessly.

God Bless,
Turner

This may sound a bit unusual, but have you ever had her yeast levels checked?

Yeast, living in our bodies can wreak havoc, and the eyes are very susceptible.

You will have to consult the alternative medicine community to point you to someone expert in that area. The guy we use is Amish. He puts us on Can-sol which I am currently taking for 2 weeks. Beyond question it is the most foul tasting thing you will ever put in your mouth, but it wipes out yeast growing in your body in days to 2 weeks. Again, you'll leed a dead rat wrapped in a ten day old dirty sock to wipe your mouth out with to remove the taste, but say goodbye to yeast.

I'm a firm believer in if the Lord closes a door he will open another. I pray that my timing will be in-line with His. The wife's (Tammy) office was closed today by an elected official wanting to turn the program over to a for profit company in place of the non profit that had been in place for 19 years. Pray that she will find a position that she will enjoy as much as her last and that this bump in the road doesn't side track our get out of debt plan by to much.

Thanks
Steve

Gents, please lift my parents up in your prayers. This last week has been one of the worst they’ve ever had to deal with and there’s a chance it may not be letting up. They could really use some extra strength, peace, and general comfort.

Thank You,
Turner

My Uncle Jim has had cancer for at least the last decade. I’m amazed at how strong him and my aunt have been. They live nw of Dallas, Jim sent all of us on his email list an update today. I have inserted it below. I don’t understand God’s plan with this suffering but if you could lift them up I would appreciate it as would they.

This past week was a test of our faith, health and where do we go from here?  A hard scary question for Ann and me.   The past week I was having a weakness which I attributed to being in active.   On Saturday Morning a week ago after a bad Thursday, a morning of terrible vomiting (I never vomit)  I found I was unable to walk, the scariest thing I have ever had happened.
Ann volunteers at our local Presby Hospital 3 mile from our home. I called and texted and ask her to come home ASAP.  My adrenal gland which regulates glucose is bad but I have been able to compensate for it using steroids and food.  Never less my glucose was 25 but know other obvious signs of low sugar.  I got to the fridge and ate a candy apple and could not get up but got to a kitchen chair.  Ann was there in less than 15 minutes.  Had my lunch salad, still weak, having trouble walking but got into my recliner and that is where I spent the night.  Saturday morning was day of awaking.  This had to be the worst because we were thinking this was it especially since Ann would not be able to care for me.  But having Myeloma I was ready to meet my maker and knowing Ann would be okay.  We just set and looked into each other’s eyes trying to figure out what was coming and when. Since I was unable to walk Ann called the EMS and within 2 minutes I was in the back of the EMS getting treated for low sugar.  I still was feeling okay but I went to the Hospital where I was taken into an Emergency  Intensive care  After a gaggle of Emergency room  doctors and nurses working on me they moved me from there to another Emergency Intensive care. My nurse had 2 patients and I was one of them.  Scary.. Along with why the glucose dropped to dangerous level, why did my BP drop into the low 60’s which was causing my brain not to get enough blood  I don’t believe that was every resolved.  After I was in the Intensive care until I was deemed stable they moved me up to 4th floor where the nurses can have 6 patients.  I was there for 1 day and my condition was not stable and back to the Intensive care floor.  I was there for only a few hours.  They were using prednisone and a couple more drugs which increased my blood pressure from the low 60’s now over 200.  I told them I didn’t want to stroke out and to let me go, but to no avail.  Poor Ann was life was being jerked up and down just like mine.  Meanwhile every 4 hours after being dx with double pneumonia I was having a Respiratory breathing treatment which is one of the roots of the problem.  After I was stabilized again left the Intensive care floor back to another room on the 4th where I remained until  I was discharged this past Thursday.

The outcome is I am very weak, take breathing treatments every 4 hours  for the double pneumonia but I am still mobile with a wheeled walked for now.  I have this weekend to get better as we have a gaggle of doctor appointments coming up.  We are fortunate we have several good (new) hospitals with plenty super doctors and nurses.  All very warm and friendly.

I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know what happened to the joke line.   Fall weather has set in with colder 40’s and rain for a couple days.
May God Bless you and please say a prayer for me and Ann.
Thanks for reading this long drawn out piece but please no mention in Facebook.
Love,
Jim

Adding to the list, prayers for an unnamed individual who struggles against an addiction.

Lift them up, and God will know who it is and how to handle it.

And while I'm at it, Father God, thank you for friendship and caring and brotherly love. THank you for bringing together this diverse group of men from all corners and 60 miles north of nowhere. Bless them in their struggles. Give them wisdom, good judgement, prosper them as you give them challenges which strengthen them and causes them to take small stands for the kingdom. Thinking of them and the idea of church, I pray the Jabez prayer over them and all of us collectively and this web site, that you would enlarge our territory and influence to speak over a confused and darkened world. That we would be men of honor, but that no credit would come to us personally, but, however, that others would see a genuineness in us that flows from the river. Let not anything we do lead anyone to evil or temptation so that all of us were only convey a positive spirit that is wrought from your very heart:

Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.

1 Chronicles 4:9-10

"Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, 'Because I bore him in pain.' And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.' So God granted him what he requested"

Men, could use some prayers for me and the wife. Because of my wife's family she has a passion for trying to help people with addictions. We living in rural Oklahoma and the wife lost her job a few months ago she has been working on setting sober living houses in our county. She has done an outstanding job, The city has donated a church, a church has donated their old building and a few men went in and bought a farm house. She has let the group of men take the lead which hasn't worked out that well until the wife just takes care of things and gets things moving.

Please pray that I will be accepting of the Lord's timing, accepting  of the finance issues. For the wife that she is following the Lords plan for her life and that this adventure will be blessed.
