Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Hurry, run Charles, before you're overwhelmed, then you start to enjoy shopping for shoes and dresses!

Oops, did I just confess?

Wife and I sat the bar and ate. We were too cringy for them. Two were mine and the rest were friends.

Funny. My food and bar tab was more than appetizer dinner and dessert for all those girls ....

Thanksgiving weekend for us this weekend.

We’re back above freezing today.
Thought it was early till I started looking at pics on the phone. Had to go back to 2015 to have not had snow by now.

I’ve passed my 8 weeks of 10 pounds from surgery. Now mama is scared I’m gonna overdo it.
Lol. But no.

So temps are 30-36 last few days.

Nice I’d say...

Charles, the last few years we’ve made Halloween weekend by boat.
Having said that couple involved breaking ice at shore.
So mid November is the long answer. Ten days shortest and four weeks longest between boat and sled. We’ll be out next week still, water temps in the 36-42 range so long way from ice. Then I’m out of town (23-28) so next week may be it this year.
Then I do the ice walk.

OK, so who can get auto paint (enamel or acrylic) matched to a part I have for the Burb?

Want single stage, just touching up some stuff before it gets the whole treatment (might be awhile)

I found some place in NV, but they want $90 a quart!

Day 5

No major issues. This surgery falls way short of pain and recovery of the others such as the multiple hernia repairs I have had.
Took the day off of work to get an alignment on the truck and rotate and balance the tires and so forth, otherwise I’ll be headed back to work on Tuesday

Good luck JR. Trying to match old paint, or even new paint, is the luck of the draw in my experience.

JR. That is from a couple years ago.
Where I drilled near the ice from my feet was around a half inch.
Had lots of hands that year so we took some pics you normally wouldn’t dare think of alone.

I had to inform our hired hand that he will be terminated at the end of the year. Not an easy thing to do. The guy has been a friend for a long time and hes kind of hit a rough patch anyway. But, It had to be done. I hired him so I had to be the one that let him go. He will have no problem finding another job. Literally everyone is hiring. The help wanted ads are 4 pages long in the local paper.

Jon, It is nice you are able to give him several months notice so he can look for a good job rather than taking whatever is available just to get a paycheck in the door. Hopefully that reduces the sting a little bit.

And if he whats options, Cincinnati is exploding. So many jobs here, you could pick and choose with ease around here. And if nothing hits, he can pull rocks and cut trees on my farm ;-)

Was up last night watching TV and everything jumped, then shook for a few seconds.

4.5 and was just 40 miles south of me. No damage, just a little bump!

Rebuilt the axle carrier and put on the engine wagon. Added non swivel wheels to the rear so it goes where I pull it now.

Couple years of exposure was not kind to the HF dollies, covered too!

They will be ridden. Horses are my daughters passion, I like them too, but she devours information on horses. I’ve got a small paddock fenced in for now, with more to come in the future as we clear some of the woods behind the current fields.

I have one and it's all I use. I went back to a traditional wallet when a couple screws fell out. New wallet got wet and I remembered why I swapped. Don't like traditional wallets now and I think I've had this one for over a year plus or minus a little bit. No complaints honestly, although it will feel wierd until you get used to not having a wallet in your back pocket.

Also I just got back from travelling for work again. So I'm watching college football, balancing the checkbook and working on breaking in a new pair of cowboy boots. I now remember why I hate buying new boots.

Swapped back to the original OEM struts on the wife’s car. Pair #2 had a bad bearings so they sent new ones. Pair #3 would pop when accelerating and turning left. Put the originals back on, quiet as a mouse.

That’s what I get for buying cheapos off Amazon. OEM from here out.

Picked up a hitchhiker late last night. Changed over to corn because the beans are too wet.

I have been doing a little preliminary truck shopping for when I get the LBZ sold. Just seeing what's out there. I wanted to go with a 3+3 or on old Chevy Blazer but after looking around some they are far in few in between for what I want to spend. So I ditched the idea of a Blazer.

Needs to be crew cab 4x4. For around 5k. Found a few pretty decent early 2000s Ford trucks with the 7.3 but higher miles. And a few Duramax trucks the same era for the same price.
Not specifically looking for a diesel but they keep popping up.

Put up a few tree stands yesterday morning then went to scout out a new spot. This is the second rattlesnake I’ve almost stepped on this year and I did step on a rat snake about a month ago. I think I’ll just leave that spot alone until it gets colder.
