Wheel Identification and Restore?
« on: November 15, 2015, 07:30:15 AM »
I did have this in my build thread, but then I remembered there's another category for wheels and tires so I thought I'd move it here.

Here's a picture of the wheels on my parts truck. The tires wouldn't pass inspection, but they are good enough to be able to roll the thing around. The center cap say Xtreme II, they are steel and 16" wheels. Any idea what make they might be? I was guessing maybe procomp?

Anyway, could these be sandblasted and repaint? They do have some surface rust in spots, would would make a real nice set of backup wheels for my dodge.

If I had to guess I'd say rock crawlers, I used to weld beadlocks on to those all the time. They can easily be blasted and painted or powder coated.

Discount used to sell extremes.

Like Shawn said...blast and paint or PC.
Underpaid and misunderstood since 2014

Also for quick reference I used to get them blasted & powdered for $40 per wheel. That was a set of 4, if I did bulk then pricing was better but that should give you an idea.
