High purge flow is a stuck valve. The one on the intake. If it's stuck open (high flow) she'll run rich. Potentially cause a misfire.

Also happens when fuel is pushed into the carbon canister, sometimes caused by people that top off the fuel tank after the nozzle clicks. When the purge valve opens, raw fuel gets injested.

I will have her pick up a new Evap purge valve down there. Based on the install difficulty, I think my sons should be able to replace it with out any problem.  Thanks everyone for your help, I’ll update after they get it replaced.

Changed middle daughters oil in mustang, new windshield wipers, filled up fuel tank and wiper fluid. Then pulled front drivers seat and tore mechanism apart. Neither up down adjuster front or back was working. Genius they used a plastic gear that had broke in both. Two point five hours later and it functions properly again. Hashtag no more porch chair seat cushion booster for my short stature daughter....

I installed the 12 foot and 5 ft gates on the east side of my fence,
I replaced glow plug number 8 or the PO687 code ( no more code)

Now installing some forms and rebar for the west side of the yard fence, need to get the next section of RV pad poured to complete it all.

How did you fix the seat Shawn?

Started with the easy possibility (changed the switch) no bueno...

Her and I about a month ago then pulled the seat. Had read about those plastic gears. So I pulled the 4 bolts holding the clam shell case and fished around in there with a pick. Pulled out a chunk of plastic. Put it back together and researched. They make a kit with new gears and adjusters.

Fast forward this morning, pull seat (disconnect two plugs under seat) and put it on bench in shop. Pull bottom cushion which gives you acces to 4 frame / bracket mount bolts. Pull adjacent wiring as needed so frame will lay down on bench. Drive single pin out in front and back adjuster, pull 4 screwed each on front and back clamshell. Swap out adjusters and small bushing ( you do have to assemble new adjusters which is done with a 9mm deep well socket), reassemble.

2.4 / 5 speed

Price is dependent on if you want fancy tires and wheels or stockers

That bathroom looks great!

So I dropped my non cooling duramax off at the ac shop today....

Got it back this afternoon....he found the wires going into the pressure switch were intermittently connected.  $55 fix out the door.  Love this guy, he could have created a problem and charged me a ton but he's an honest guy and that's why I keep using him.

Picked up a 2004 Dana 60 front axle for the excursion $100. Had some water in the diff from sitting outside, carrier and stock 3.73 gears had a bit of rust on side not submerged in oil. Spun freely and was a bit loose so going to need a full rebuild. I need 4.30’s and one of those grizzly carriers anyhow. Shooting for it as a wind winter swap, maybe Jan / Feb time frame.

I tried. He won’t take it. We chatted about diesels for a while. He said he rarely ever sees a duramax with compressor problems.

Turns out we knew some of the same guys from back in our dirt track days

Picked up a 1994 GM NV4500 today with the clutch, unit has been rebuilt at some point as the rear dampener (which does nothing btw) was removed from this unit. Guy I know was swapping to a 12v from the anemic 6.5L and I agreed to buy it when he pulled it.

So my drivetrain plan of which I have acquired at least one if not several of each items thus far is 500 caddy/nv4500/np203/205 & 80’s front and rear.

Plan is to start with the 205 overhaul this winter then add the 203 box in front of it. Next will be both axles then the motor last.

There are times when I question my mechanic abilities, but when it comes to body work, there's no doubt that I shouldn't be attempting it.

Decided to paint momma's hood this weekend because I've already lost a couple weeks to weather. Started painting and the wind kicked up, then the bugs, then 100* temps. Burned through 3/4 of a gallon of clear and ended up with solvent pop. (Thousands of little bubbles caused by the outer layer drying before the previous layers ) . Very frustrating

Kinda hard to see in the pics

Just use a small slice of your garage! Ain’t a paint booth but better than dealing with your wind and subsequent dust.

Yea, one of em' is likely designed for the happy homeowner

But the 4720 is not a small tractor.@66HP and Deere's best transmission, it is made for serious work...Which it does when it's not broken down.
It hasn't broken down this year, but then again, I haven't used it!
