JR, how well I remember going through almost the same stuff with my garage contractor. At that time it was material cost not fuel. I agreed to split the increase in lumber package with him. Cheaper than starting over and would have had to pay for the whole increase in costs. Hard call but you might offer to split the cost and move on.

Sure that counts. You probably need to cut more firewood anyway. Been a tough summer for trees up here also. We have 3-4 that turned brown and will need to come down. Temps are still in the high 70’s and rifle deer season starts in a week. Should be rain, fog and 50’s. Leaves are still hanging on the trees and brush and the game is up all night eating.

Hunting season is fast approaching, looking for one just off the road and slightly uphill. Oh well if it doesn’t happen it it still a nice two weeks in the hills. Got a spot to park the trailer. Right on the river/ lake with 50 amp full hook ups. Tavern/cafe just up the road.

Super clean/nice. I recently looked at this cover...considered it should I remove the topper from my truck.
Don, if you never use the space provided by the topper and never plan to then change to the cover of your choice. Just remember you will be the guy with the blue tarp flapping in the wind first time you need to haul something that needs to be contained and is higher than the cover that is rolled up out of the way. Dave, nice looking addition to the truck.

E-Trailer is a good place for parts. They also keep track of what you buy, which makes it nice when you need information or more parts. If you are replacing the drums, look at replacing the magnets too

Put an offer down on a piece of property in Troy, MT this morning. Wife accepted a job in Libby, MT last evening. Been moving personal stuff to storage all day. Tomorrow is last day to move a few things then clean the house. We close on sale of home Monday. Fifth wheel living for us for at least a couple weeks.
We’ve prayed profusely over this whole deal. We’ve left it in Gods hands to open doors and although it has been stressful at times he’s in control and everything is lining up.
That didn’t take long. You will like the area, a bit chilly winters but really nice area just the same.

Big wind storm in Bullhead AZ a couple days ago. Knocked down many trees and power poles. Slowly getting the power back on and without air conditioning it is not nice. Our place came through ok no power so will have to clean out freezer when we get back down there. Lots of roof damage and a few block walls around town and of course the temps in the 100+.

How long do we now wait on hold for a response from someone on the phone or in your case the delivery of an item. Sorry you are caught in the middle and don’t have a good answer for you. If they are/were a good solid company when you placed your order, I guess you wait it out. Cancel out and start over would be terrible.

For power for the charge you can use a cord set from the hardware store or electrical supply store. For the charging wires, you need to use heavy enough wire to handle the max amps available to use. You should also be able to buy any type grommets you want from the supply place you get the wiring and clips from.

I guess I will give my point of view on the canopy vs open bed. I use my truck to tow/haul stuff. Having a wall between gas and diesel containers and inside, keeps the smell in the bed not in the cabin area. I carry lots of stuff in the bed of my truck and it stays dry because I have the cab high canopy. Takes up no cabin area so lots of seating room. I can sleep in the dry on short hunting/fishing trips and still tow the boat or jeep.
And if needed, it doesn’t take long to remove the canopy if needed. I have never had to remove it yet.

Wife is staying at hospital for a night or two for a knee replacement. All the plants and shrubs that need water and anti deer spray take a long time. Her little dog is lost without her. Need to walk her yet too and make her special breakfast.
The Orcas are moving back and forth around the island. Hard to be watching when they pass by but do get lucky and see them once in a while.

And I thought your plan included moving from the existing place to the farm. Don’t let the age thing start making all the choices for you. not enough time to just give up. Interesting thing about 811. For power they will only locate to the meter. If you want to locate power lines in an area after the meter it will cost you. Cut the phone line and you loose service, cut the power line most anything can happen.

Well I now have power in the garage and it is painted on the outside. Need to get some lights hung but things are really looking up.
Managed to cut the phone lines when the Power trench was dug, but managed to find it by calling for locate service. Of course the internet here comes through the phone line so was without internet and tv for a couple days. Not sure why the phone lines were placed where the are but it is what it is.

The only crab I have eaten is Dungeness. Fresh caught, cooked shell on and cooled immediately. Cleaned and served. Frozen is ok but fresh from pot to table is best.
Problem now is the area of Puget Sound we live near has been closed for years. Need to load up the gear and head to an open area and catch a few for dinner.

Absolutely nothing wrong with buying what you want. I just hope you haven’t fallen into the trap set by the Dems that are saying it is a winner for stopping global warming. Things I worry about are keeping me from jumping. May we never loose power because the cars that need it to operate have first position. And being cheaper to operate, I am sure that won’t be the case.

Don, nice that you are able to get into a new EV. Would be nice to be able to travel 600 miles for twenty bucks or so and only having to make two stops to recharge batteries.
