Moving along!
Hope you get the nice ride you’re after first round this time.

Just caught the 12 bolts in the rear axles.
I think it was 8 in the 11.5, so that one has been beefed up considerably.

It is apparently. I chatted with Tate this morning about it. He sent me some detailed information about that axle.
We can settle the argument about which kind of differential is in there. It is a two-piece differential with internal clutches preloaded by some Belville washers. Apparently, it is possible to rebuild it. There are 30, 32 and 33 spline axles depending on what truck you are driving. The dually gets the mutant strong stuff. That is why everything seems so darned oversized in the pics of my truck axle.

Toys are good. Finally got my Kubota running again, slowed me down a lot!

Welp. This is a first for us.
Closed up cabin for spring thaw.
Still likely have two weeks based on snow just about gone.
But. I’m out of town the next couple weekends, so here we are.
Nice part about it will be not swimming the sled and stuff through the water. Lol.

Last week, was management hosed burger day at work. So….


Pretzel buns for burgers it was.
Hand stamped 6ouncers went on them. Was delightful.

Also over the weekend finished up the trailer mods.

I’m done bending 7k axles.
Added in or shall I say sectioned out a few inches of more travel. Between lack of clearance, load and speed I’ve kept axle shops far too well paid. lol. 2 x 3500, 2 x 6000, 1 x 7000. You’d think I’d have got to it sooner but well life.
Fixed now and hopefully done with bent axles and scrubbed tires.

Also glued the sawmill base together as well.

Got a collection of rounds to saw once I get it all together. 6 x 6 x 1/4 wall 17 ish feet long.
It’s a brute.
