That photo is such a misrepresentation of US Air Force combat arms training, I don’t know where to start. There would never be tiled flooring used, it would be a nice Berber carpet with about a 3/4 inch padding underneath. And he’s not wearing elbow pads to protect him from rug burn from the carpet. Such a sham!!!!!

Yeah. The time to prepare was years ago. Friends asking me what to do and I tell them. Make a list for next time and stock up after this time. This time is too late.

We are part of a group effort on the island. up the hill from us about 5 min from the house are 3 larger homes with about 10 acres each that share large metal building/barn space. we have a commercial kitchen, shelter for um, a lot, rotated climate controlled food storage for, a lot, med supplies, fuel, generators, coveted toilet paper, lol and a lot of garden space and equipment to farm it. we've even got hydraulic forging equipment. in the early 90's when they developed their properties they debated amongst each other what might happen if there were a natural disaster or the bridge to the mainland were to fail and we were cutoff. luckily for me we are a close group and everyone participates and works the property and storage on a rotation system. Also doesn't hurt being 10 min by boat from the naval air base. i'm pretty comfortable with my situation and wouldn't mind one bit telling the warden why I'm fishing and crabbing outside of season if need be. VERY healthy whitetail population on the island and it's still primarily farmland with RIGHT minded folks. LOTS of Norwegian Lutherans that know how to handle themselves vs. the neighboring city of grown adults that are running around like the sky is falling. My people are meeting at church and talking about how we'll pool resources if needed and take care of ours.

No effect here in the tuck...life goes on much the same as it always has

Don't panic, this C-virus is not the super deadly killer some think it is

Death rate in Washington was in an old folks home. I'd expect that.

90,000 cases/3000 deaths = 3.3% death rate

I'm a lot more concerned with toilet paper at $100

Like I told my wife. The flu has a higher mortality rate and the media portrayal of this mess is fueling the panic. we're a lot like Dave's neighbors down in UT; we've got about two years emergency supplies per family. The only thing I worry about now is other people. oh, and $100 toilet paper. I'll make my own bidet before I pay panic prices.

I think the regular flu is around .05%, where this is 2-3%. But it mainly affects people in poor health and most get well.

I think there are far more cases not known, but the deaths are hyped. I already had boxes of masks and found more online a week ago. Even have full bio maska and around 2 months food. I see no panic here, but picking up a few extra cans of food and TP as I can.

you're correct there but they are talking about possibly thousands if not hundreds of thousands of unreported cases as most symptoms are so mild in 35-40% of patients they don't see it as anything but a common cold. these numbers correctly reported would drive the mortality rate down a bunch.

Back on topic, just a subtle jab at the lefty wingnuts, not you JR.

We order a lot of stuff online from Sam's club. Just for no good reason I asked the wife if she could get another box of TP. It's out of stock. As well as cases of bottled water and paper towels.

In the video you see that his thoughts disappeared for a second. When he said wait to the woman. I've seen my boss do that. I always wondered where does he go? You see emptiness in his eyes for a second then he's back. The exact same look as Biden in the video.
