Suppressors
« on: October 06, 2017, 12:56:36 PM »
This morning I’ve fallen victim to silencershop’s marketing and have a renewed interest in a suppressor (also shopping for my Christmas present).

What I want is something I can use on hunting rifles during deer season then swap over to a different tool in the off season. Last year I was set on a Surefire socom762 mini but a dealer convinced me to wait a while. I hadn’t given it much more thought until I got an email from silencershop this morning.

The email led me to this page. That seems like a lot of suppressor for the money. https://www.silencershop.com/silencers/7-62mm-rifle/rugged-suppressors-razor-7-62.html?redirect_mongo_id=59d794be1c0f5e00351fcd71&utm_source=Springbot&utm_medium=Web&utm_campaign=Email#content_tab_review_tabbed

I have been doing some reading and the Thunderbeast Ultra 7 seems to perform very well from what I have read.  Haven't done a ton or research though.

I've made hits at 1000 with my thunderbeast 30P1. Minimal poi shift.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Although I would suggest that you step up and get the 338BA or the 338 Ultra Thunderbeast.  Just a hair bigger than the 7.62 but will work well on 308,300, 338.  More versatile than having to buy 2-3 different ones.

The BA versions are brake attachment versions with a ratchet mechanism. .338 will work very well on any .30 cal and will be future proof. Had I to do over again I’d have gone that route.

I ended up going with the Rugged Razor 7.62. Rated for belt fed and 300RUM, lifetime warranty, 3 muzzle devices, and a 5.56 end cap. Ordered it today through silencershop.com. For what I need I couldn’t justify the extra money for the Thunder Beast or Surefire. All that’s left to do is get finger printed then forget about it for the next 10 months until it’s out of jail.
