My diverticulitis will rear it's ugly head with the oddest of foods or combos of foods, so I keep a notepad of what makes me feel like crap, and what doesn't. Funny how God can gently tap you on the shoulder for years and go unheard until he has to smack you over the head with a hammer to get you to listen. if i had addressed my issues 22 years ago who knows how much better off i would be.

After speaking with the boys at Carli, I should not have sold you the individual components without the shocks, as they are all engineered to work around each other like one big happy family. If you found fox 2.0 try them out before throwing in the towel on the system. as they are not carli tuned they may not be as ideal as they were intended but are likely to solve 90% of your issues. He's hard to get on the phone since it's just him, but Tyler over at Carli is a wealth of knowledge. Tyler@carlisusupension.com. just let him know you're working with me on this project.

Then yesterday the power steering was acting up in the 2004 Chevy Express. They just don’t build things to last anymore. I mean, the 2011 Odyssey only has 288000 miles, the 2005 has a slightly more respectable 336000 and the Express only has about 515000. Good news.
"An on demand style tcase has active clutches connecting the front driveshaft to the transfercase. Even in 2wd, there is still residual friction from the clutch surfaces sliding causing felt drag on the drive shaft . think of it like the clutches in a limited slip- they allow for a controlled amount of power transfer at any given time. When engaging 4wd manually, this clamps down on said clutch pack with additional force , this exponentially increases break away torque . In an non on demand case its all gear driven – its either connected or not. That is why on a different style case it can be turned by hand in 2wd. This unit is on demand and the clutches are brand new and will break in over time." 29

i think I've posted this somewhere before, but i had it back in Dec of 2019 before it was "here". a customer of mine builds super custom buggies and ships them over to china for the billionaires to timeshare or something like that. he was flown out there in oct of 19 to see their operation and his translator was from Wuhan. his wife and daughter were flying out to the states that month... along with 500k other high society types. nearly half of all fights to the US from mainland china land at SeaTac, and this was the 1st version where most young adults were asymptomatic. My 22 year old at the time worked for Armani and the chinese LOVE that brand like they do Buick. anyway, he stayed with us for thanksgiving and a few days after, and the next working week i was sicker than i've been in 20+ years. all the known symptoms, and flu test was neg. since then i have been vaccinated for my mother in laws cancer treatment, (yeah, what we didn't know then right?) and have been surrounded by covid positive people so many times i can't count and have not yet tested positive. I think if you were exposed early on you developed natural immunity that is 100x stronger and the damn vaccine reacted to the already present antibodies which gave me my side effect symptoms.

I can confirm cardiac side effects. super high BP, not sure of the actual numbers but they were ready to prescribe meds for me. 203 BPM pulse resting for 20+ min before it subsided 6-10 days after the booster and randomly would spike without warning for 4-6 weeks after the booster. they of course will attribute this to my infection and diverticulitis. i had to fight with the drs to get them to remove the "generalized anxiety and intermittent panic attacks" from my record. have not had anything since. also had similar symptoms after the 2nd dose and reported to the cdc on the side effects report, which is when the panic attacks note showed up in my chart randomly...

Great to hear! And while several of our items have definitely humbled us, (Phil's hubs, cough cough), we are the only aftermarket manufacturer that builds the gears for JL/JT to factory specs. And if it makes anyone feel any better, we are actively moving as much production OUT of China as possible. South Korea, the Philippines, India, and yes, the US. It will take a while to get this cancer cut out, but it's happening.

Tater nuggets of wisdom here.
the new JL/JT design gears, (2018+) have been engineered for less parasitic drag for the ever popular EPA requirements. what does this mean to you? Glad you asked; the break in procedure that has stood the test of time for decades needs to be tweaked for larger tires, as the contact pattern on the new design gears is very focused, i.e. smaller, with more pressure. INITIAL BREAK IN DRIVE: - in town speeds, no hwy 15-20 min w/ a 30 min cool down period. - repeat 2-3 times (highlift is doing this for you) INITIAL FREEWAY DRIVE: - general hwy speeds OK, no more than 15 miles at a time with 20-30 min cool down in between for the 1st 45 miles. - if you can't hold your meat hooks on the diff housing for more than 2-3 seconds it's too hot, wait longer REMAINDER OF 500 MILE BREAK IN: -continue to drive normally, no heavy acceleration or braking or towing for 500 miles total. -CHANGE YOUR DIFF FLUID!!! - Synthetics are OK at this time if you follow that crowd INITIAL TOWING BREAK IN: - follow steps 1 and 2 - after 45 miles on hwy are complete, you may resume normal abusive, i mean, normal driving patterns. fluid change/maintenance intervals should be followed as prescribed in the owners manual, but i recommend following the fleet or HD version if they show one. typically shorter mileage between fluid changes. the new gear cut and larger and larger tires have been creating a "towing" scenario on unloaded vehicles and demands greater attention to the process. thank you for taking the time to read yukon tech tips with Tate. 41

New years lamb and scallops.
parsley mint oregano garlic and lemon zest crust pulsed into a paste, rubbed all over and wrapped in cling wrap to marinate over night. roasted for 15 min at 325 and 15 min at 450 for crust. pan drippings and red wine for the sauce seared scallops with citrus. lime, lemon, blood orange, grapefruit zest and juice reduced down with honey and strained. add a little butter and salt and you have magic. so happy to be back in the land of fresh seafood. 42

There is more pep in it I think. Here's another thing. The mileage computer always seemed to settle in around 16.5 give or take. But after all the driving today, which consumed about half a tank of fuel, it is sitting at 18.5. That is meaningless at the moment but the top-up in a day or so will tell the real numbers. Wouldn't it be nice if the mileage actually increases? According to Ripp, the biggest torque numbers occur down low in the revs where the vehicle stays during normal driving.
