So are you going to do the pump rub upgrade as well ..........

Yes, I wouldn't go in there without it. the kit I found comes with it too, and I think that's the direction I'm taking.

you can get two transmitters and double the range too. haven't had the need though, but I like that it can't be charged out of like a buried line. you're out of signal range, you're getting zapped.

Leave it be. 1994 c2500 w/ the 700r4 trans as a service truck, tons of miles on it. one slow day the shop tech decided to do a full svc tune up, plugs wires, fluids, filters etc. what had been a reliable workhorse smoked the tranny in two days post "tune up". I cannot verify that was directly related however. but I believe in the mojo. I was just talking about how great my truck was holding up for having 265k on it and the next morning the t-case starts acting up.

I have this guy, http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=1108&cmpid=01cseYY&ref=6191&subref=AA&cmpid=PLA_G_6191&gclid=CLGwzfry7NICFdKEfgodUbIPxQ
works perfectly as it continually zaps them until they return to the range of the unit. it can be adjusted from 90 ft radius to 10 ft with a dial. we take it camping too and it works great for the campsite so he doesn't tangle stuff up with a rope. Batteries go fast if they constantly walk the border though which he did at first to find the "beep" areas, but after a couple high level zaps, he doesn't even try anymore.

Good lookin out. talked to a trans shop that I deal with and they basically said the same thing. case saver and a new case half w/ brgs should be all I need. the driveline clunk wipes out the spot that holds the snap ring and lets the shaft in and out of gear, basically like trying to go into 4wd when it's not synched up. I'll report back on findings when I get it sorted out.

thanks for all the help.

Powerplant, Driveline, and Braking / Re: Transfercase noise
« on: March 22, 2017, 12:40:41 PM »
Yes, yes it does. I have the driveline clunk issue, and I think my slip yoke has been bottoming out on the tcase for some time now and has most likely trashed it. Just curious to see if anyone else has any input. Al's Truck in Lynnwood has a buddy discount reman unit for $1295, but I can find rebuild kits w/ case halfs and chains for $395

So I limped the trans this morning... sounded like it slipped into neutral and gears were grinding then slammed back into gear and that's what limped it. eased it in to work and parked it and waited about 5 min and the trans was back to normal. Sounds more like something is going on in the T/case because it will not have any issues or make noise in 4wd, but put it in 2wd and feather the gas around 45-50 and it will clunk rattle and roll, and occasionally make a buzzing sound, slip out of gear and back into gear. (gently if I keep my foot out of it this time). no leaks, no pump rub issues, haven't gotten it up on the rack yet to check fluid. Any thoughts?

My daughter is 14 and hasn't said much but I know its coming. Here in Kali now unless YOU pay for lessons and practice you can't get a DL until you are 18.

When I was a, er kid I got it all in 2 weeks of summer school and got my DL on my 16th, got my class A when I was 18.

Pit looks good.

Cement is done in back, no to level and sod and fill with some rock. Just finishing the treehouse floor, kids will be happy tonite.

Thanks on the firepit all. I'm still sore. Looking forward to seeing progress on the tree house. I have a lot of great memories in the one I build from "borrowed" lumber out of the neighbors wood pile. I also got the summer school version when they were still showing the train wreck video and had my lic in about 2 weeks as well.

My new Schrade. Still working on HH6 for the Pistol. Brought up in WA this has been a tough nut to crack but she's bending. She and Sam have at least taken the pepper spray I insisted on, but after last weekend she's asking about going to the range. Sam's co-worker was jumped getting into his car. He was able to run back into the restaurant and call police, and the attackers ran off without the car, but that was enough to get her attention. Told her that could be me or you any night of the week.

Praise report: although I continue to have multiple stones in each kidney, I have no serious blockage or kidney damage, and I gave birth to this little fella this morning. 4.7mm per my dial caliper here at work. There is no greater feeling of relief and satisfaction than getting rid of something you didn't even know was causing pain. The lack of pain is like waking up after your best day at work, home, winning the lottery, best cup of coffee ever, kid won a scholarship and you got a raise at work. the image is not for the faint of heart.

Father, thank you for all that you do for us here on earth as we make our way back to you. Bless these men as they have blessed me and countless others.

From my perspective, THEY would prefer we stay in high interest loans and remain in debt indefinitely, collect their affirmative action funding, and continue to churn out brainwashed sheeple. I paid for my credits out of pocket, (probably why I stopped after pre-req's and a tech class that led nowhere), and after an unfortunate turn of events just couldn't stomach paying for it again, (yes, again). So What Did I Do Today? Took a long shot at the rocket scientist's question. we'll see where I land.

mmm hmmm, mmm hmmm... I failed to find the part where you flash freeze and ship to your hungry friends? looks awesome and fairly similar mechanics to the style I make. Guess that's just Texas style chili. That partially freezing makes it WAY easier to dice. Thanks for pulling back the curtain and revealing your secrets. no cornmeal thickener or tomato paste surprised me sir.
