Got a 2012 L3800DT Kubota. Has two sets of rear remotes and a WR Long bucket grapple.
Stopped by TSC and picked up a box blade and auger.
Can't wait to out it to work

what did yah do, a week in CO and another week there at the cabin?

Tires fluid filled?
Test them RN
If it's that sodium chloride, I'd drain that crap out and put the beet juice in there
Hydrostat, shuttle shift, or manual trans?
Horsepower?
Box blade: Get a strong one. I'm thinking that is a 40HP or there-abouts tractor?? So maybe a 48", possibly a tad bigger box blade, but don't go cheap
Buy an assortment of those pins, they fall off all the time...
For digging, there are companies which make a front digging attachment with teeth. It bolts on and will greatly increase the ability to punch through stubborn soil

I just discovered them myself. They make a huge difference according to the guy I was talking to who added them on.

I grew up on a farm, playing with all sorts of boy toys. All I know is once the teeth were gone things changed dramatically with the digging operations.
Definitely a cool find.

Nate, just rolled in yesterday about 2:30. Did the deal on the phone and went to pick it up this morning. Also went to the steel supply place to get some building materials. Going to add another door to the shop and add a lean to on the back to park equipment until I build the 40x60
Don thanks for the tip. It's a 38hp tractor. Manual trans. Two sets of rear remotes. Plan on getting a log splitter to run with them. I will look into the bucket teeth. Need to weld on some hooks to the bucket too. Probably add a LED light bar
Based on everything I looked at this seemed the best set up. I refuse to buy the new tractors with emissions. I missed a 44hp hydro that got sold when I was in CO. I found a nice Deere but it had 2200 hours on it. Ultimately buying from a reputable dealer weighed heavy on the decision. They are about 25 miles away.
Ken, I'm learning. Ran the box blade some today to take the crown out of the road and getting it prepped for some crushed granite.
Did learn to get it on and off the trailer without using the ramps. 4wd and a little bucket help and walk it up.

Nice buy. I used a neighbors Kubota for about a week and it never missed a beat. Was smaller with just a 3 ft box but it worked great.
Strapped on a tiller and did the front yard too.
I was wondering about Don, he has been quiet. Did you get red back?

I told Larry to hold on to it. I want to paint it there. THen transport the painted beast to Caca "Lost in the sticks" to put her to werk digging stuff, breakin' down stuff, topplin' stuff and just tearin the heck out of everything in sight!

I'll be getting a PTO tiller soon. Gonna work on a fall garden. See if I can remember all the lessons my grandparents taught me about gardening/farming.

Tillers work well with that compost pile I think you're doing or will be doing. Throw meat away but compost everything else. I plan on composting the little house produce as well. Apparently with the adding of wood ash after each "Addition" you end up with some pretty good growin fertilizer in a couple years of collecting.
Anyway a tiller run through that pile will keep the bacterias square dancing their way to bacteria heaven

Great purchase. I love my tractor but it is easy to start thinking about needing another attachment. I have a 28 HP Mahindra that I use a 5ft bush hog behind frequently and a 5ft box blade occasionally. The front bucket make me wonder how I lived without it on my last tractor. Handy as a pocket on a shirt.

Larry: It has a 72" 4 in 1 Frontier AY11E bucket
RN: This is a much better product than the bolt on teeth, more substantial, semi-permanent, and like Larry mentioned, you can still back-drag a smooth surface, which you will be doing a lot with that loader

I would say the pipe is for a crapper....a good size at that!
Try this one RN, it has 7 bolts, spaced 7" apart. Blades/equipment are typically a generic size on the compact tractors:

We have a compost bin that has been producing for us for years. The flowerbed and vegetables really thrive with regular additions. If you keep sticks and branches out of the pile or bin, you can expect good compost in as little as 6 weeks. Grass clippings, leaves, paper (shredded), and any non-meat food waste goes into the bin.

Nice Kubota, BTW. I have a BX24 (23hp) and it has no problems pulling a 4ft box blade. I'm sure yours could handle a 5 footer easily. I keep my box blade on when I am running the loader as a counter-weight. Its heavy and has a low center of gravity. Its no fun going downhill with a heavy load in the bucket and having the rear tires lose traction in 2WD.

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CUSTOMERS THAT HAD NO HOLES IN THERE BUCKET JUST CLAMP THEM IN PLACE AND DRILL THE HOLES TO MATCH THE EDGE.

Nice piece of equipment TRN. I have often considered one of those for the home place here. In the end I just default to the old Case 1845 Skid steer.
One of my winter projects is a Skid Steer mounted tiller. Because attachments are cool LoL

Attachments are like trim pieces in your home. You're always either adding some or fixing what you have
