I believe DHS is involved in everything but a regular DL/ID now. The "enhanced" DL are part of the DHS system now.

Heck, I don't have an "enhanced" DL (just renewed) and had to provide my passport for a firearm purchase. Even though its the state that make the rule, I had to have Federal approved ID to complete.

I think that’s because Cali gives licenses to illegal aliens so they want a fed ID

Yep, I got caught in that. "I" have to get a fed accepted DL because illegals are given a DL. Were not the only state.

So I’m taking the 13yr old to buy a pair of work boots.  Any suggestion on a boot type that won’t cost me $150 that will last for a year or two.  Tired of him trying to mow the yard in white basketball shoes and I plan on putting his butt to work in the shop this summer.

here are 2 cheap options for you, especially if you are wanting to bring him to a work area where steel toes are required.

Take him to a large supply place like Bass Pro or Sportsman Wharehouse. Just make sure the boots have good support for the foot. Steel toe required areas are not the best place for a younger worker. And because of his age, he will most likely outgrow the boots in a short time. Don’t skimp on price too much, good footwear is so important. Bad feet suck.

I have a special place of hatred in my heart for morons/idiots that want all this elaborate landscape and then let it slowly go to schiff because they were too stupid  to understand the cost/maintenance it takes to keep it looking beautiful!

Anyone ever have someone copy you on a purchase, because they want the same thing? I bought my truck in 2012. My brother went and bought a 2013 version shortly after...he put the same exhaust, tuner, and almost bought the same wheels until I got rude about it.
Anyway, it's taken a while for that wound to heal. Lol

Now, my best buddy just bought a brand new General. Identical to mine.
Should I be happy for him? Or just slice his tires?

I have 3 friends that bought the exact same 4 wheelers. Same year, brand, color everything. I told them I thought it was stupid. But if I had the money at the time there would have been 4 the same.

Went on a short weekend campout. Left the Freightliner at home because the local campground got a lot of rain and it's tight. I didn't want to tear up the grass. This is what an unhappy super duty looks like.
We only went 12 miles. That side wind was no good but it did better than I expected.

I’m gonna need some ear plugs for sure.  They had the motor built a few years ago and I guess it’s about 600hp.   I for sure am no good at down shifting but I’ll get there in time

Jon is sure does ride pretty rough but.... I’ve not had much experience in other rigs besides the brand new Mack dump truck that has auto everything.   But it’s definitely awesome to drive.

Air shift Dave, fun would be twin sticks.

What motor? The V12s were detroits, we also had V92 and a few cats. Mostly all the trucks were Pete's, we bought as gliders.

The wide load sign goes a little lower viewed from the rear,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Between surviving yesterday and making it pretty easy today I’m slowly getting a hold of it.   60+ wind gusts today from ogden to Malad ID and made three round trips.

Still struggling with timing of down shifts and stoping.   Usually row down the first four then once I have to switch to the -25 minus I screw the pooch
Clutch in and roll into a stop

I freakin' love the look of that year Tahoe/Suburban wearing an ARB bumper. Take the way-back machine, Rocky, and back then there were not a ton of aftermarket "Hey, look at me" bumpers. The ARB was about it. I had one on a Tundra I owned. Just a good, utilitarian look to this vehicle.

Today I traded out of that Pete to the fully auto Mack dump truck!! Holly smokes that was simple!!!

Everything is automatic.  Jake brake, up and down shift, tow mode, down hill assist, up hill assist.  Warning lights.  Tag axles auto up and auto down.  Good grief I’d let the wife jump in this and get groceries

Almost ready for the trip to Idaho.
I've got an order in for the roofing tin and purlins. They will go in the middle.

Also got this fancy Spartan hitch for the gooser to (hopefully) make it a smoother trip.
