Title: New Bench Vise for installing ring gears on carriers
Post by: stlaser on April 16, 2021, 02:21:33 PM: Well, I’ve been dreaming up a fabricated bench mount vise for at least two years using a small bottle jack for pressure and trying to find a heavy vise used reasonable that would fit the bill.

So the other day I stumbled on an online machine shop auction at a residence 2 miles from our home.

$70 later and I have a new vise on my bench. Cole Tool MFG out of Chicago Heights IL.

Super excited

Just a pin, so yea pivot point similar to old single post blacksmith leg vise just no leg and not as long of jaws.
