Rings for the swail drainage. You answered it but I was wondering about the rings before.

Think I recommended Lucas. Summit has it by the gallon.

You doing steps on this? I'm selling mine and staying with permanent steps. With all the much the side of the truck stays cleaner, but I need to step up a few more inches.

I sure know about cows and stock trucks!

Nope, economic guys are saying we are spending $1.8 to $1 taken in. Interest on the debt is more than the debt every year.

It will take years but our kids are going to pay big time.

I'm on a fixed income, this is killing me. Sure I get little cola raises, but with inflation of 20% or more, 2-3% goes backwards. Plus the supply chain issues (the say) is keeping prices high with demand/supply doing its this.

7
Thx, nice not having the tpms warning on the dash anymore too.

All my pics are via txt to PC, come over at around 400k, about right. Can do bigger but easier this way.

10
Blacked out between the front windows (tint coming), factory option on some and I liked the look.

I hardly ever use taptalk unless at the Ridge.

They are handy aren't they Shawn.

Dave, snuck a pic of the rig in the little pics. Never got into golf.

Went to pick n pull today, got a boatload of stuff. Dash cluster (his temp is in opp) Non cow modified fender, window seals and misc all from the same truck.

Talked to the steers rep twice now, trying to get something for the damage. Not our falt.

13
So far so good. Smoother and quieter on the road. Topped off the tank and it calced to 17mpg, best ever but time will tell. Running about 5psi more than the others since it is narrower.

Spent the afternoon with the youngest at Pick n pull. Got a lot for his truck and I found a seat trim piece for mine and a DIC switch that is supposed to be plug and play.

14
Got the tires mounted up. New TPMS sensors, 6oz beads for balance.

Tire machine regulator went bad last time I used it, replacement was fairly easy cept I lost an airline into the guts and had to open it up to retrieve. After the first 2, it started acting up some. Would not grip the wheels (close). Think I got some oil into the valves, but a rag or 2 in the clamps got er done.

It drives much better. I think the overall weight and width means more than I thought. Tires sit just as wide, just 1 inch narrower.

I like how it looks too, but not sure on the chrome lugs, thinking black? Notice anything else?

15
OK, so I scored these rims for a song. Pretty good shape. Tahoe is OK with the old wheels and tires. Rides like a tank, even my boy commented.

Nice haul on the axles, get a material lift!

About to run up to Sac to look for sonoma parts.

Doing a few little things. Got the drivers door hinges fixed and getting it smogged (hopefully) in the morning.

We went for a drive to build his skill up more, and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Out stepped a steer on a side road. Speed was a full 55, dark out and Zach swerved just a little "catching" the head on the right side of the truck.

We turned around, he was shaken and could hardly turn around (missing shifts and flustered). Saw there were 5-6 steers out from a gate left open. Catch was the word as we found a horn embeded in the doorway! There was some blood around and we didn't see an injured steer?

I called 911 (was my stomping ground but now CHP?) just to let them know and to notify animal control. Chased the steers back in, locked the open gate.

No report filed but think I will call the owner to ask for compensation for the trucks damage. Sonoma needs a fender and door now. See what they have to say, can't hurt and he and shouldn't have to pay for it.

Yes, we kept the horn.

Sounds like a great time. Should be good pics?

Last time we were at the GC, youngest and I slept outside and an Elk was standing almost over us when we woke up.

Boys and I went to a gun show in Reno at the Nugget, first for them, my first in years, good time.

Thats a huge swing, Utah to WV!!

Haven't had real meat like that for years, yum.

Picked up a set of wheels for the Tahoe and finally got a Bambu 3D printer I ordered over a month ago.

Babysit, I was thinking more of a lunch or something. Heck even I post a little when at the ridge.

23
In the market for a machinest straight edge to clean the mill up some (bed scraping/truing). Running power for these now and the smaller garage where my youngest setup a workbench.

Thats cool. I watch a couple site (fab rats and matts off road recovery) based there. Looks like a fun area. Been trying to take the boys to Zion for some time.

They are getting close to you soon aren't they Dave? TO bad he doesn't post a few road trip pics!

For you guys with shops these material lifts are great. Used they go for around $500, but saves your back. I use to load the trailer too.

Got a load delivered to the site. 85 #5 rebar, bunch of #4 bends, cabinet, material lift and more. Bucket came back as I didn't finish the mount.

Great weather, mid 50s during the day but flipping cold when the sun sets. Not Sam cold, but too much for me now.

Can't get the kabota to run at all now, still thinking fuel issue. Cranks and sounds fine with a new battery. Found these cracks in the wheels. Will need to address, welding should be fine.

Gehl fired right up but it what looks like a hydraulic leak. Everything works great otherwise. Oh the battery switch went bad, but got a couple new ones.

Made it to the Ridge this Sunday. Really just a run to drop off stuff I have been collecting.

Mid 50s during the day, very nice. When that sun goes down, wow it gets cold fast. Camera shows teens at night.

Heading up in the AM for the day, kids back in school monday and to cold right now for overnights in the cube.

Anyway, got a goo trailer load to go up. Just missed a load of 4x4 welded cement wire today for free. Was twenty 4x20 sheets in town.

Odd stuff like solar mount (1/2) BBQ, and that load of #5 rebar. Bucket is coming back again. Just couldn't finish it, rained when I went out but got a little done.

Also got a nice PC rack that will be the home for my solar setup. That will clear the paint cabinet for, paint!

Got some done on the solar mount cap. Had to spread the pipe so it goes over the other 6in pipe. You can't just buy this, it goes from 6 to 8 inch!

Bucket got it mounts fully removed and a bar added to move it around (works great!)

I hear that. I see plans or kits but the $$ is scary. Found a couple 4 inch, but way big of a foot print.

You know what I use all the time is the material lift. Just loaded several items on the trailer with it. Even taking the big one up to the ridge tomorrow. (weather might hold for 12 hours)

My 55 amp Yeswelder is working great so far.

Got this placed in the garage but need to move back another 4-6in. A pallet jack, really helps.

No real airflow back there, but I like mine too. The few degrees cooler could even be you add a little more fluid.

Got it home today, went pretty well. Didn't drop, now sitting in garage on engine hoist and 2x4s.

Oven I picked up. Bigger than I really wanted (needed?) but the price was right. Threw on a set of casters from amazon and it's set.

Believe it goes to 300c, and can be vacuum or pressurized if need be. Chamber is 19x20x18 and is HEAVY!

The 53 brings back memories for me. Pops retired from MCAS Tustin (blimp hangers) and the stuff I saw there was crazy. From nukes to the first Cobras.

Watching the 53 flare for landing was crazy, can't imagine being inside for that.

Tires were in the mix anyway for an upgrade, right?

I think the rear end would love some synthetic oil too and sure the stock stuff has all the break in it needs.

Think I have something wrong with me, I just keep getting more stuff!

Found a older Bridgeport Surface grinder just 10 minutes from my house, $200 could I say no? Well, NO!

Model 815 manual, but looking to make it auto (can't be that hard). Pickup on Sunday.

This is the FB picture, runs good, solid magnetic table, 2 phase (vevor VFD for under $100)

Plan is to take a bunch of goodies up this weekend. I am keeping too much stuff here and adding to it. Didn't get the bucket nor the pole done for last weekend and hoping the weather is OK.

Gen repair parts, rebar and the bent rebar son found.

Getting the bucket ready for the new ears, cleaned off the old whatever mount. Then ran out of acetylene, might try propane and trade the tank for another ox.

Welded a plate on a 6in pole for the solar array so it swivels, giving 20% more power or so. Just 8 panels for now, 200watts each.
