Yep, that is what I have too. I am looking now for the adapter to move the axle forward and inch. It will help with clearance for the tall wheels which the GMs are not famous for.

Running 6 inch springs in the front and moving it all forward some will help with wheelbase and when the cummins goes in. I understand the steering and the pan get close.

Funny thing is when I just got my interior parts the guy had 2 drivers drop dana 70s. My mind when wild for a few moments about those.

Not quite -- they're still around, albeit a lot fewer stores -- I'm lucky to still have one right up the street.  They're mostly cell phone storefronts for Sprint now.

Yep, I did hear a few would stay around to sell phones. I found RS had so little and were so $$$ I ordered on line for most things anyway.

Actually the F18 Super Hornet was introduced about 20 years ago (square inlets and still to old) and still being produced today.

It was based off the original Hornet built in 1978.

On your crossover I am interested as the burb gets it too. Not sure on the tierod yet but I have all that too.  I understand the center tierod is less stress, but the high steer gets less damage.

I would say have at least as much thread as the tubing diameter for max strength. 3/4 adjustment is OK, but a little more won't hurt.

Glad you had good trip. House looks OK but if they are like Ca you cannot charge 1st and last. Dogs, well I have dealt with as a owner, I don't rent anymore.

The rest sounds good. You up there out of the heat?

Good start and sure there are tweaks to come. I notice red dog is not talked about a lot now, is he farmed out?

I have been thinking about making soft tops for my trailers.

Just a rail on the edge with posts welded on. Bend some 3/4 conduit that plugs into them and tarp over the top. Easy on, easy off and protects whats inside. Getting a custom cover shouldn't be very pricey either.

Nice score both ways. 12v is nice but can be slow when real flow is needed. Maybe a small gas pump would be nice for those times when flow in needed.

And what is wrong with a long shower now and then??

I understand the easements and access issues. It gets cloudy between civil and penal and everyone thinks they are right.

Be sure to include collecting for your legal fees in a counter suit, but any good attorney should know that.

Good luck and prayers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yep, those portable liquid skids are handy and stout.

If your keeping the same gears you should be fine. You need a dial indicator on the housing with the tip on the ring in the same direction it rotates.

Do not allow the pinion to move and move the ring gear back and forth, that is your backlash. To adjust for more, move away from the pinion, less closer.

Then you still check the pattern using a visible coating looking for a mid tooth contact on the rounded side (drive side). I would look to video for patterns and you will see how it should look.

Sparks? do tell
No real story

He wired the thing

threw the switch

and Bang

Probably the only thing I ever saw him do incorrectly.

Now his daughter, driving off in a creek in his sequoia, that's a different story!

Good Score!

So are you up to that level of work now...Healing apparently going quite well it seems!

It is more than a stumble than a walk. But have cleaned the garage some, done an oil change and broke in my new Gen (review to follow). Still have the brace for another 2 weeks.

As I am moving about some now, I searched CL and found a full rear interior, 3rd seat with belts and a Hydroboost about an hour away. In the right color and good shape for a 25 year old sub. He had on built up too with a 60 front, 56 front springs and H1 tires on dually hubs. Looked nice.

Guy was cool and tore it all out as I was there cept for the boost, so I got all the trim and screws to mount it up easier.

I have heard of those trains before. Must be messy wrecks and a long wait for help.

Beer, thats what we hauled. Blew 2 rear tires once at 80+, looked like a grenade went off where the tires ripped through the floor.

Looks good but it does need bigger tires.

Why would SD need a fuel tank???

10791
I think all that hasn't needed a full going over is the engine in that thing. If you get the same use out of the rebuilt parts as when new, it should last another lifetime.

10792
I have no ides what is in our freezer. Oh sure I can see what is right in front, but there are so many little bags of something that get shoved back I have given up.

Then the leftovers in the fridge, 1/2 cup of this and that not worth even saving and much gets green before eaten. Then she saves every plastic bag she gets!! I throw away 20 or so every week she stuff in every nook and cranny in the fridge and the pantry.

10793
Yep, gone now and I missed all the fun,,,,,,,,,,,,,

10794
I wouldn't sweat it, but I would get some out. That is only about 10% over so no to bad.

I wish mine ran the cool. I have done the flip mod on the cooler and still get into the low 200* easy when towing.

10797
On the toilet seat issue. At my house it is a non issue, leave it as you use it or close the lid.

They have no more right to have the seat down than we do to leave it up.

I even heard some lady on the radio complain about it the other day, really?

If someone needs it that bad, buy an automatic seat or don't complain.

& yeah they (girls) do not know what clean means

Unfortunately, we have a lying issue with all 3. Not sure where they got it from and they don't see it at all.
