Got back from the graduation of the youngest pre-ranger. What a drive! parts of the road looked like the road to Baghdad with wreckage. At one place there was an excavator with a thumb picking up chunks of semi and cars from the middle of the highway!

If that was in reference to the comment I made about the crashes, there was around a foot of snow in that area.

My  granddaughter just drove to South Carolina from Indiana with a car trailer in tow. Roads were bad but she made it. Her husband tied with a frozen sheet of snow and ice from the top of a big rig, and needed a trailer to get the car back home.

Well done, JR.  It’s getting the first few courses laid thats the hard part.  Should be able to rock and roll from there….

I had a minor surgery today to have a mass removed from my back near the shoulder blade.  Was supposed to be the size of a golf ball and turned out to be the size of a baseball.

All good, nothing cancerous but wanted it gone.

My bedroom in the castle is done in the same planking. And yea, took forever + 2 days to cut everything in. Wears like steel though and easy to vac. Also hides dust and dirt so I get away a day or two after coming in from the farm with muddy boots ;-)

Glad your OK Charles, they grow em big in Tx?

1st couple courses were fun. Tied to measure to have come out even when getting to the hallway, then 2 vents (one I moved) and the cove by the front window. Finding using soapy solution on all edges really helps. Now I have a closet to do with the next row.

Been busy with a lot of stuff…

But part of it is the plasma table.
I’ll do a write up on it once it’s done.

Teaser.

Heading out this week to see the grandson and move stuff back and forth.
May be snagging a saw mill if the price is right at the auction. If not got plans for an other one Match time.
We had a heat wave hit…it’s currently 28 and raining. We’re leaving tonight, or at least were, no still are…less traffic… but yeah icy it will be.
We seen a couple days the past week 35 sort of thing. Totally not January and February weather.
I’ll take it however.

As for a bear gun boss, 10mm Glock as has been mentioned. Nothing beats more rounds to be able to put into said bear. Wheel gun is six. Only. And you will not have time to reload. And a 12 pipe with slugs. And we all agree you’re more doing it for HH6 so buy your new guns and enjoy.

They are gone and all is good
Well...
Last night I admitted a couple more.
I hadn't read your post and didn't know.
I went back and looked where one of them had started a signature.
Know what it said?
It simply said "porn videos" in parentheses that was a link.

Well, I killed him off along with two others who were on the approval list just for spite.

I'll share with everyone what I shared with JR privately a couple of days ago.

I am in these 100 days of prayer for all of the people who visit this site, along with a bunch of other things. I am for sure seeing some results from that prayer. I think it is effective because I have come under attack from every side. Fighting off new attacks of RA, and other things like that. But Jesus is triumphant, and he will make me as well if I am in compliance with the will of heaven.
I am praying for the Lord to send us many. I want unchurched as well as believers. I want them so that they may observe godly men conducting life. I want them to be touched by the spirit or strengthened if he lives inside of them.

With all that said, literally around day 10-15 or so people start showing up. We regularly dump the ones from Russia, Somalia, and so forth. We usually accept the ones from the USA and Canada, but not always. If the selected name suggests poor character, I kick them to the curb as Kat sometimes says to me! :-0

The one with the porn video link was signing in from an I.P. address from Antarctica!!!!

I figured it was some worker from McMurdo base down there doing their 1-year tour, so I allowed it...go figure.

So that's why we had an incursion here. From what I see the evil in the world is very active. It seeks to poison clean places like this. And why not? Evil hates God, despises Jesus, and moves to block the spirit. Evil is set to dominate and consume all. To me, the greater number of evil-doers just means a more plentiful target pool. A target pool to fucus the power of the spirit of God which we can yield to crush those black spirits.

So yea, if you're doing well for your team, you can expect to gather more enemies from the other guys...

Well Costco screwed up my plans.

We need to redo the flooring at our retirement place. Been looking and studying a bit on vinyl plank. Welp, we looked at a few places and had settled on the Lifeproof or whatever it’s called at Home Depot @ $5 a sq foot. We were good with that but were in no hurry to buy.

Well, enter the Costco shop…
They had whatever the heck we bought on for just under $2 and it passed the “The joints must be tough” test.

So the already half full bed of my truck was emptied. Mama was stil a-shopping…

After this the three other new 14 ply trailer tires went in to provide frontal protection for the window and another 16 boxes of flooring were added. The back seat was filled to capacity.

And at 75 psi in the air bags I hardly came off the overloads…eek.

20 minutes later we were at our kids place and rearranged everything but the flooring onto the trailer. It was raining, snowing, or both, so moving flooring into that wasn’t an option.

And I was grateful for the weight on the truck as the roads slushed and finally turned to glare ice.
Was a not fun wiggly slidey all over the place hour or so until we got ahead of the freeze line.

Is it vinyl? I have the costco laminated wood flooring and it suck big time. It does not like water at all, mine is a mess.

I hauled 35 boxes of the newer vinyl in the Dmax, abuot 1/2 pallet. Sat low but no issues.

It is 100% vinyl. Man the boxes are heavy. 50-60 pounds I’d wager per.
70 of them total plus a bit of other crap too.

Nice, I got 72 boxes. Only like 8 panels per box, heavy stuff with backing.

Working on clearing a closet now that is being a pain. Some bozo (me) drove screws under the drywall edge.

Hint, although it looks easy to get the planks to lock together. I found using a soapy mixture really helps. I just have a little tub and rag, but going to try a brush next.

And a scrap piece and a big wood mallet to encourage the difficult ones.
Didn't think about the soapy solution as a lubricant.

I saw that in a YT vid for sliding in odd pieces. Wood will just dent the ends, you need a sacraficial piece of tile.

I made a bar that you can hammer against the wall with. Another vid showed using a block of wood with a handle as a mallet, just slide along the floor.

I am continuing to reject new member applicants daily. Nine one day, three so far today.
There is a crack in our veneer somewhere, and I suspect there is a flood of vermin on the other side just waiting to come in.
I and the others helping me here will continue to try and keep the shop clean, but the battle is on
To me that suggests that we may be doing some good
Which makes the enemy angry. We may be rubbing him wrong by doing some good, so he is starting to hit us more and more.
Someone here asked us to pray for the man in Colorado with a weakening faith. Well, I've been doing that as, well, I suspect others are doing as well. What do you want to bet we are having an effect on him and others here who are also being covered in prayer?
Dunno, just a theory of mine, but could be.
As always, if anyone knows how to build a better rat trap (could have said mouse, but these people are rats), just let me know.

Funny, but I was thinking the same thing.
I should ban him because, after all, this is his thread, yet you never hear a peep from the man.

So it seems I’m running into an interference issue on my Y axis.
The spec was for .065 wall and all I could get was .188.
Having written that number I’m unsure how it even fit over the 2”.
It fits, it slides but only had minimal clearance that now assembled is not so bueno.

So off to find a piece that works.

On a lighter note we’re heading from the current balmy 5 degrees to a significantly cooler -25 tonight and possibly a tad more by Friday.

Weird, its measured from the outisde, so thickness should not matter.

I think it’s more on the 3D printed stuff. With only 40 or 50 thou clearance and having to clock everything square to the plane of the bed there is not enough space. Without adding weight to the assembly it moves relatively well. It did spec thin wall and I feel it is for this reason but I’ll play around a bit more and see if it can work. Otherwise I need some new 2 1/2”.

I continue to reject scammers. Six just this morning.

Some look almost legitimate, but here is how I am finding them to be possible scammers: I search their IP address to see if it is at least the US or Canada. Nest I look at their email address. Just looked at one and it was @IPbeyond.com.
I looked that up and sure enough I found information stating that .com was commonly used by scammers and temporary email addresses.
The fight continues...

Picked up a set of 19.5 wheels and tires to replace the 7.50 20 split rims on grandpa's truck. They are shorter but I think they look good. Got them at a consignment auction yesterday. $225 for all 6. The tires themselves are pretty much shot but they will last me a long time. They are still in way better shape than the 40 year old bias ply tires that were on it.

Had a couple quarts of heavy cream coming up on its best before date.
So made butter.

If you’re unaware of how easy it is, it literally takes 12-15 minutes.

Look on YouTube or other and it’s simple.
Into the mixer, whip it till it separates out the butter.
Mix/knead the last of the buttermilk out add some salt and voila.

Just shy of a pound per quart.

And the butter is the real stuff.
When the dairy sells the milk to company it is sold by butterfat content not just quantity. A Butter churn used to be in most every country home.

So, today a test arrived at our doorstep.

I have been praying every day for all of you and this forum. I ask that this place be a place where men find safety. Even though I talk about truck campers, and others are building this or that, at our core I want there to be a yearning to connect with the word of God and with Godly people.

Matt posts a daily scripture and has for years. I read it, and I hope that all of you do too. It is a ritual that I enjoy going to.

In my prayers, I prayed for this place to be a beacon of light that would attract others who might experience how all of you interact. I want them to question, and then discover what is different about this forum and why all of you are the way you are.

We, of course, know it is the spirit of God that molds us from that block of clay into, hopefully, a man who in some ways is the reflection of the spirit of God that dwells within us.

I further asked God, that if this place is not what I think it is, then he would destroy this forum. I mean why kid ourselves and pretend to be something when we may not be, right?

Well, today the hosting company presented me with two invoices. One is $963, and one is $33. This happened last year, and last year a very generous member tossed a grand at the invoice. I paid it and think I either placed the balance into the Christmas fund or purchased a McDonald's large fries and a Big Mac! ;-)

I am going to trust that this is the test or at least one of the tests we will face. Either people anty up to pay for the hosting or at some point very soon, the hosting company will turn the lights off.

We all shall see and may the Lord's will be done here.
