Title: Merry Christmas everyone! What are you doing this year?
Post by: Farmer Jon on December 24, 2017, 09:10:47 AM: I have all my kids coming home for the first time in several years. Tomorrow we go to my Moms house. It will pretty much just be adults and my 2 youngest kids and my 2 young nieces. Day after Christmas we head for Kentucky for a week with a stop off in Cincinnati. I enjoy my time there but I could do without going through that city.

We have church at 8:30 Christmas Morning. Then the 30 miles to my Mom's for Christmas. Unload the smoker, light it, toss the Ham in and go about hanging out with family.

Two of our kids and their families won't be here they live in Wisconsin. But we will have the 6 kids that live here, and their kids, so it will be busy and enjoyable I am sure. Neither of my two sisters will be attending, so it should be a peaceful day.

now that we have been blessed with 6" of snow, maybe some sledding will be in order Christmas Morning.

Post by: stlaser on December 24, 2017, 09:50:01 AM: We had candlight service last night as they are holding it at regular service times yesterday and today. We walked into church with it not snowing & walked out an hour later with a couple inches on the ground which was pretty cool I might add.

So today we go pickup cinnamon rolls from our local truck stop for tomorrow morning. Yes, my wife can make them but it’s hard to beat a place that renowned for these rolls. Then tomorrow it is prime rib & all the fixins here at our home with family......

Post by: Flyin6 on December 24, 2017, 10:29:49 AM: Latin church at 1600 where we will present out remaining gifts to the two families, then a tad more shopping and a last run to kroger, then an evening of family, then all day tomorrow with kids/grandkids, mine, and maybe even get to lifting the GJ!

Son and daughter will sleep in so that is nice. We always pile into the car with Christmas cookies and go look at all of the lights. So we will do that after dinner.

We are starting here, then going to Grandma's who is still about the same, then off to a wife's cousins house in Sac we have been many times for a nice dinner and family.

I got an early present, I get to go to the shot show in LV!!!!!!!!

The other family didn't show at the church service, but no wonder it is snowing and the roads are a mess. I ended up giving the gift to the pastor to give to them if he can catch up. I had to head back to the casa for family ops

I had some time to sit down with this family and hear their story. We have no idea just how blessed we are living in the America.

Wife and youngest daughter will enjoy a quiet Christmas tomorrow; our last before becoming Grandparents and Auntie respectively in June. This is also going to be the last Christmas where our daughter believes in Santa - almost 13 and we know she still was on board last year. This year’s iffy, but she’s smart enough to carry on even if she is in on the secret!

I am spending it with family in the middle of south dakota. Woke up to -8 temps (i am one that LOVES cold temps), and helped process this before an extended family meal last night.

Sorry, about the sideways pic. It was right side ip when i took it, i will fix it in a day or 2 when i get back home.

Went to Christmas Eve service last night with my folks. Did Christmas morning with the in laws. Daughter is currently down for her morning nap. Then headed to my aunt's for the Christmas feast. Finishing up the day at my parents.

Nate, unless there is a shoulder mount planned that thing is hanging upside down. We tend to do our skinning a little different then most, but generally we do 10 or so at a time.

Post by: oklawall on December 25, 2017, 04:57:15 PM: well you guys made off better than I, 102 fever for the last few days so I was in isolation (I'm blaming the flu shot I got last week. Kids and grandkids came down yesterday opened presents, went to the in-laws for dinner and dirty Santa for the adults. I on the other hand stayed in bed. Kids and grandkids came by to say good bye and headed home. Wife came home fell asleep in the livingroom and I went to bed didn't make it to midnight church service. Got up this morning cooked 3 turkeys, de-boned them and took them to our little towns comunity center and the wife helped serve and Ireturned home because of my fever.

Sophie goes out with me every time for crab, regardless of the weather. I'm glad she'll get to grow up on the saltwater and grow that appreciation.
