Deliverance/Freedom from the Anti-Christ Spirit:

An Expose on How The Antichrist Spirit Functions in Our Midst

by Dr. Carol Cohen

Introduction

We are coming into the season of having to personally take authority over and remove outselves from the anti-Christ spirit.

Few -if any- of us have dealt with anti-Christ, but we must now.

It is already active in the world and in the congregation of believers, and has been for many years. In the early days of the church, the apostle John in the book of First John warned people about the deception and bondage of the anti-Christ spirit that was functioning among them.

Dr.Carol recently ministered to intercessors gathered from many nations in Jerusalem. God gave her a message of prophetic insight into the challenges of today and the  SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST. Many people described the teaching as "awesome." and  said it brought much clarity and refreshment into their lives. click here to order

He was not concerned so much about the end time Anti-Christ that would one day be incarnated on the earth in the last days in a single person, but with the active spirit of the anti-Christ that was functioning/wrecking havoc among believers at that moment.

The Lord has been showing us that that spirit has been greatly at work right now holding back people called to serve in the army of God. It especially prevents them from joining together as a troop, and it plunders the resources God would have available to them for His service on earth.

What is insidious about this spirit is that it mixes itself together with the things of God, so that it is hard to recognize. It offers believers supernatural power, wealth, status, position, ...and it delivers...initially! But then it also puts people into its bondage as they fall for its deals.

People called to God's army will testify about the great work of purging and purification God has been doing in their lives in recent years. There is no way they would deliberately make deals with anti-Christ. But the spirit is deceptive. The bondage it has placed on their lives may have been put their long ago when they unwittingly assented to a teaching that was not really from God. Or long ago they may have received power to heal or minister with a supernatural authority or prophetic ability that rises up in them doing ministry that seems like a mantle from God...but it isn't. God's mantle is real, of course. It is the mixture that He is wanting to purge from our lives.

And there can be a “flip-flop.” Just as Peter in Mt.16:20-23 at one moment could be speaking in the Lord with direct revelation from the Father when he attested that Jesus was the Christ, and then in the next breath he spoke on behalf of Satan when he urged Jesus not to go to the Cross. People called to the army can flip-flop when they do not guard their minds against the “thoughts of man” inspired by the spirit of the world or against the anti-Christ spirit that specializes in intruding into the purposes of God for your life. So they can be ministering by the Spirit of God one moment, and then through a spirit of the anti-Christ the next.

The Antichrist Spirit Goes Out from US!

The antichrist spirit is in our midst. It goes out from us.

1John 2:18-19 Little children, it is th last hour; and as you have heard that the Anti-Christ is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us....

It is a spirit that inspires false teaching. It functions among us because that is where it can get the most mileage in its war against Jesus Christ.

Testing the Spirits is done to Discern the antichrist spirit

Because of the antichrist spirit, John warned believers to “test the spirits.” Look at the context of this command. It is not about discerning demons but discerning the antichrist spirit!

1John 4:1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

[Remember, the false prophets go out from us. In his next 2 verses, John indicates that the false is inspired by the spirit of the antiChrist.]

1John 4:2, 3 By this you know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ has come come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the [spirit] of the Antichrist, which you have heard is coming and is now already in the world.[1]

So we test the spirits especially in order to detect when the antichrist spirit is trying to function through us. Any of us can be deceived by its falsehoods or used by the antiChrist spirit to misinform others when we start to think -as Peter did- the thoughts of man and not the thoughts of God. This is true whether we are in prayer groups, worshiping the Lord in great assemblies, or during streams of mighty prophecy! We can be used by God's Spirit one minute, and the next minute an antichrist spirit could slip in if we are not vigilent.

1Jn.4:5-6 They [those inspired with falsehood] are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world [or the believer who is listening with worldly ears] hears them. We are of God: He who knows God [a believer who is attuned to hearing His voice in a personal relationship] hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

For people like ourslves whom the Lord is still mercifully perfecting, the spirit of truth and the spirit of error can still flip-flop in us, so that one minute, like Peter, we are mighty people of God speaking His truth, and the next minute a loveless motive allows error and deception to flow through our vessel. But there is an easy way to recognize it.

An Easy Way to Detect the AntiChrist Spirit

According to John, even little children can detect the antichrist spirit and overcome it, because that spirit has no LOVE in it, and little children can spot that right away. 1Jn.4:7-8

Little children can overcome the antichrist spirit because, John goes on to say, “He who is in you is greater than He who is in the world.” 1John 4:4 They have Jesus in them and His love is greater than any power of the antichrist. Knowing His love protects little children from taking to heart the loveless words that the antichrist spirit would try to deceive them with.

If little children can spot the antichrist spirit, so can we, people of the army of God. We can STAND and WATCH for any inspiration within ourselves that does not come from a heart of LOVE.

Look at ourselves: when rancor, strife, jealousy, pride, self-importance, or the desire to be noticed as a leader are motivating your words, do you experience the love of God in your hearts? Does the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and has come in the flesh well up from the abundance of your heart? Of course not.

Are these types of motives and the words they inspire ongoing problems for you? You might want to ask your spouse or children about that if you are unsure. You can use these signals to help you identify strongholds where the antichrist spirit may hold you captive in some area of your life.

Part II will deal with bondage that the people called to serve in the army of God may need to be freed from due to the antichrist spirit
