iPhone from the inside.
« on: September 30, 2015, 06:42:23 PM »
So I order up two iPhone 6S pluses with 128G and they offer $200 credit to turn in a smart phone.

So I have 2 iPhone 4s laying in a drawer one with a broken screen. I says to myself "self , a screen costs $20 and I can turn that into $200

I've cracked one open to replace a battery but the screen requires a complete disassembly of all components except the buttons on the side of the case.

It took 2 hours but it works and I only lost 1 of the tiniest screws.  Even with my readers I could barely see these little screws.  Those little Chinese people must have really good eyesight and small hands.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

I did that on Sam's phone a while back. I'm thinking gremlins do the install then leave their business behind to cause problems.

Nice work for profit!
My son broke his but wouldn't let me play.
I agree with the eyesight and hands. A lot of really tiny bits in them.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

They charge $100 to replace it at a retail repair place.  I could just sit behind a desk and repair iphones for a few Hondos a day.......

Good job Tex. I was going to try that on my S5, but found out the aftermarket glass wasn't "gorilla" brand, then realized I had insurance, so got a new one.
