Good thing there was just dirt back the Shawn.

Jon, you pictures are about scouts or things you break! Very consistent.

Yep guys I am back home. Some of you knew I was not feeling well and ended up in the ER early sunday when I couldn't stand on my own with a 103f temp. They still don't know what is/was wrong. I had 2 Cat scans, MRI, Xray and even a Ultra sound. So much blood drawn its stupid and they still don't know. Food was good but all diabetic stuff (cept the couple sodas the wife brought in)

I have a little story for you guys see what you make of it.

Wednesday the boss come in the shop and said he found a skinned deer in the ditch by one of our fields.  Freshly skinned the cape over its head next to a neat gut pile and the feet were cut off. No meat was taken. I told him to call the sheriff.  Thursday morning the game warden comes out and looks at it. He pulls the cape back off the head and finds out it's not a deer itis a pig.  So, someone killed a pig, skinned it mostly gutted it and just took the feet. He didn't say if any of the organs were missing.

We are wondering who does that and why. Where did the pig come from. Nobody has reported missing any. It's just weird.

I didn't see it myself. The boss has never been hunting a day in his life so I can see how he would mistake a pig for deer.

Thanks Bob

We finally figured out what we are doing for exterior siding on the outbuildings here at our home in MT. I’ll update that thread shortly. With that addressed I decided to send the developer an email with a well documented timeline and list of grievances in regards to his ccr’s and the lack of any hoa.

It has been bothering me for some time so it was time to rip that bandaid off and clear the air.

And his reply might be a bill for past unpaid bills to the HOA. Hope the rules are all ok with you if the HOA starts enforcing them.
In AZ our HOA has a person on payroll who drives around looking for infractions so they can send a bill for non compliance of the rules. The developer holds the majority of votes and he wants everything perfect to help him sell lots and homes.
How many weeds on the lot is too many, and no parking on the landscape gravel annd the trailers must be behind a gated wall, are the biggest infractions.

I understand Bob, I’ve been part of several HOA’s in my life. I even volunteered as a drc person where we updated the vague guidelines put in place by developer to rules that actually worked in our best interest. Currently my Colorado shop is in a very well run HOA in fact.

My problem with this couple (husband / wife) stems from his dishonesty. He’s a liar and a snake who placed ccr’s on the development then immediately broke those rules to his own benefit. Yet ironically he holds the rest of us to the standards he doesn’t hold themselves to. I’m all for him collecting back fees. In fact I think he should contribute back fees so we have a reserve. He started this in 2013 officially filing the ccr’s on the 16 lots. My understanding is he didn’t sell anything until 2019 ish. So he owes some money. He is marketing the place as a gated community yet the gate is non functioning, access to lake creek is non existent.

Several homeowners including us are spending good money here and he needs to get his “chit” together. Putting him on notice was a kind first gesture. I’ve been amicable for almost a year and my patience is up. The county recently put holds on any sales of his property here until fire chief signs off.

Rules, yeah the rules are complete BS and make zero sense in many aspects. It needs active homeowner participation to make the rules appropriate.

Spent an hour last night cleaning the fridge coils. Fridges pretty much stopped working, coils were caked on dirty.

Seems to be working OK today, but still not sure, might a cheap fridge until I do the kitchen.

Ended up getting a new one, whirlpool again. Mixed reviews but seems OK. I really like LG but finding one in stock and for under 2K is getting tuff. This was $1200 otd.

Last night began making templates for some Muskoka chairs.

I plan on making 4 adult and two kid size immediately and then go from there.
So it seemed fitting to make some proper templates.
Found a plan via google that had full size print me file. Ran it out actual size in the plotter and voila.
Glued on with some 3M fast tack spray adhesive and cut them out.
The recip was not used. Just setting there from previous.

So I began cutting pieces tonight.
And like all things RMTS work begat work.

Started by sorting and marking the biggest pieces.
And got all the arms and legs marked out that were 1 1/2” stock.
Started jogging then out with the 20v saw. Ran out of batteries and only one charger…
So there started the work.
Finding the 18v one and it’s batteries. Found and cut.
Then I had the brilliant idea to sand them.
Oh yeah. Brought home the belt/disc combo form dads…

Yeah more work. It sanded. Sort of.
Made one heck of a racket.
Then would not shut off.

The power switch has failed.

The bearings on the drive roller have failed.

And in amongst all the parts are the legs and arms. Lol.

Four sets of adult.

Two sets of kid size.

Now to find bearings and reassemble.
Anybody got two 6203 handy…
Hope to have in a tool box.
Seems to ring a bell of skidoo idler wheel bearing.

Happy Monday…

Sam, you'd be a finalist in the RMTWS "Crafty-Dude" competition (Along with JR) if we ever had it

Well, then there's Ken with the dozer remake while running a business and a new property and hunting and landscaping. Then there's Shawn, Ken's brother with building a building while running a business, selling a business, moving a thousand miles, and running kids around universities. But then I think about Tex who when he is not fishing his mower out of the pond, builds a guest house that rivals the Biltmore while reloading, putting in a road, and he has some sort of job somewhere which is supposed to take up some of his time.

But, yea, Sam would be leadin' the pack for sure!

Scout campout this weekend. I told him they can have anything they want as long as it was made in the Dutch oven. I started naming off all kinds of good stuff. What did they choose? Frozen chicken nuggets.

They warmed them in the Dutch oven. They were actually a little crispy like McDonald's. Scoutmasters had grilled pork loin.

I tried out a new popcorn popper. Not exactly the end result I was expecting. No alcohol involved. This was a scout campout.

The whole pot caught fire. Maybe a little too much oil. The scouts did not witness this They were at one of their activities.

Been a busy week for us.
Have the fear of winter looming so cleanup on driveway has begun.
I’ve thrown the towel in on finishing the doors this year.

We’re back south heading home tomorrow.
Hauled more stuff to the new place.

This pile along with…

This stuff is most of the six chairs.

We have to haul water to the place so here was the first go. I think my trailer would prefer three totes not two have a nice weight to pull.

Assembled this big shelf unit.

Got two little sized chairs built.

And one full size.
I can confirm they are very comfortable.

Work bench came out this trip too.

Made it back alive!
I had to cut the trip short. Basically, I finished the San Juan mountain Alpine loop stuff but deleted the trip over to Moab. My RA symptoms just blew me up. Kat had to drive me home (3-days)
But we are home now and even though I was hurting, that jeeping stuff was flat-out amazing!
We ended up doing the loop from Annias junction, Engineer Pass, Cinnamon Pass, and California Pass. Hurricane Pass, and Corkscrew gulch/pass. We drove 80 miles off-road on one day alone, most of which was at 5mph and never (NEVER) over 15mph.
Those shelf roads above 11,000 feet were the creepiest I think I ever felt outside of combat. I felt like there was s real chance we might be killed on every single day at least a half dozen times. These passes are no joke and all of them are nearly 13,000 feet!

Chief. Glad you had a great adventure.
Wish the RA didn’t end it early.

Well I did a thing again.

I’m now able to do my own tires…
It’s a Chinese unit, so time will tell if worthy or not.
Based on only needing to change/repair 31 tires to cover cost I’m taking the chance.

At just over 400 pounds it seems well built. And a little bit of a bugger to move on your own.

One down.
It seems to work well.
I have air supply issues hat I was not aware how bad they were.
As it’s a bare bones machine, it doesn’t have a bead assist for setting beads. I’ll have to come up with a better solution than the ether fireball method I used for this one.
Once my problems are resolved, I think the machine is sound.

Yes this is a side effect.
I am aware of this and somewhat prepared.

I’m tooled up to do proper flat repairs, all that goes with and have a 20 pound bucket of balance beads. So I should be good for my lifetime if I don’t get too carrierd away for hire.
I’ll also finally get my excess of tires and wheels all sorted now as well.
I’ve got 2 sets of the 1999 or whenever to 2006 wheels, the set on my 07, and not less than four or five steelies that have been used as spares over the years.
Also have two sets of take off’s and a new set of 17’s for the 07 wheels…

Add to the list mama needs new winters, and yeah, almost payed for itself already.
And trailer tires…oh my there’s a few of those too. Lol.

Yes added capability will be great.
Added people, well I’ll take that with a grain of salt…

Looks similar to what I have. Works great when you get the hang of it. A tilt back arm would have been nice.

For seating I have been looking at the small tanks, not pricey at all. That or I use a strap. My setup is mounted on a pallet. I use a pallet jack to tuck away.

Be aware that owning a tire machine is like having a truck and trailer. You will have all kinds of friends wanting to use it.

Youngest son turns 16 tomorrow, so we went to Angel Island to watch the air show. Wife wanted to go to SF and I told her no way am I going there. (she's a terrible back seat driver too) City is so beautiful from a far.

For those not knowing, Angel Island was a military base with missles at one time and an imigraton stop in real times,,,,,,,

F35 demo, Fat Albert and an AC-130, with the Blue Angels coming up last. Had to leave a little to make the ferry back to Tiburon.

I liked the show better when FA did a JATO take off, but was still good. The 35 did a great flyby and even some hovering right INF SF. Angels snuck in right over our heads and I just them passing.

Tried to work today. The scale on the grain cart messed up, the tractor is throwing transmission codes and blew a hose on the combine. Tried to move the irrigation pivot out of the way. Flat tire.
On the bright side my granddaughter came out and rode with me for a while.

So. Tire changer is perfect.
With my air supply issues resolved it’s a boss. Well not that good but way more than a dude in the sticks needs to fix and change rubber.
Changed over one truck tore and repaired two others tonight. Bead seating on fat tires is a non issue. So Sam is happy with this machine.

This morning on the way to work.

That is celcius. So around about 21F.
Yeah fall is upon us.

Put the curing salts to 40 pounds of bellies.
Did 10 pounds with these jalapeño flakes shown here. Time to change the bacon game a tad.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
