Really nice looking!
Concur, the 6.2 is a good motor
The 6.0...Not so much (for mileage)

Lol, our 6.2 in the family Denali never missed a gas station either…..

Just ordered one for the F250, I’m going north in the not so distant future and the truck needed a winch mount / extra protection. Will be adding some additional lighting too.

Love the body style, oh I won't get BLACK either! Yours cleaned up nice.

Yep, my 6ltr got 11-12 normally and once I squeezed 16 on the freeway. That was a 4 speed though.

I did ok on the sale, I think it will pay off as there was a pretty constant thump in the rear end. Made me nervous

I’ll keep on the look out for a 90’s 1500 pickup to use as a work truck. The caddy didn’t have much room unless I took seats out, then store them stupid things? It also looked nicer then what I wanted to drive around back and forth from work.

My son likes those and the toyotas. I recommend to him early 2000s for the LS motors and better trans.

Could that just be a u-joint?

The caddy I’m fixing up has bugs too. Both rear door latches/locks appear to be bad.
Iv considered it might be a u joint but I can’t get them to move by hand.

My passenger side door does that.  It unlocks when it wants to.

Next time I agree to stupid stuff you guys need to stop me. Wife wanted to get her mom a Australian shepherd puppy for her birthday, and her mom and dad got on board so I agreed that the dog could stay with us until the birthday. The oldest grandson wanted one out of the same litter and asked if we would watch him until Christmas when he would get an apartmentat school and take him. Now the mother in-law thinks the puppy has to much energy and doesn't think she can keep her. When she did keep her for a day she just keep her in a cage. Grandson changed college at the last minute and  in the new area apartment stupid expensive. Here I am housebreaking two puppies. Men don't say yes unless you fully review all possible outcomes

Well, I resigned as an Assistant Scout Master today. I will stay on as an adult leader as long as my youngest stays in Scouts (called scouts now as they accept girls AND whatever) Today was our planning meeting for adults, I opted out. Troop is down to around 6 boys now, more adults than kids to run it. Hurt a little not to go, but I can't see committing time and effort to something we have lost interest in.

Although I believe in Boy Scouts, it is not that anymore. I believe Boy Scouts left me. I see girls making eagle in 1-2 years (can't do it following the rules, they get waivers) openly gay or whatever are now allowed and the leader training and backgrounds are over the top. (extra training and fingerprinting in Ca) Now for eagle you must get a "diversity" merit badge. When girls are in camps, buys get into trouble for saying the wrong thing, girls don't. All of the above I have contacted both the council and leaders. When we were asked to do "surveys" about allowing the above in, it made no difference and I have heard I am far from alone on my views.

My oldest ages out in Oct and just doesn't like it anymore. Youngest will turn 15 and enjoys the outings but is bored otherwise. Probably our last outing will be a Moaning Caverns trip in a few weeks.

Spent the night last night and tonight down in eastern Kentucky doing flood relief service. Did debris cleanup and muck outs of a few properties, will continue until about 2 tomorrow and then head home. I brought three of my kids down with me(18,16, and 15). I am proud of them. My boys dove right under a house into a crawl space to pull insulation out form under the floor. No real hesitation. They all worked all day and are having a great time this evening at camp with the other youth.

One of many interesting sights today.

I cut into that piece of plate I got a few weeks back, 32x96” for the top of bench
8” back splash type deal.

The plasma cutter I borrowed from the shop wouldn’t cut further then a inch at a time so I tossed it out of the way and used the good ol torch set and had three clean enough cuts with some grinder clean up.

Now to get my 2x2 for the legs and frame.   Forty inches tall is my plan

Good looking rig Dave. Can't believe I'm saying this, but at least you have good taste, unlike the hippies around here, Boss included

That's too bad JR.

Dave #2, yikes. I'm not sure what tells the story better, the fire truck or the signs of water debris on the guide wire.

Watch the wife when she BBQs.

So wife "unit" has gotten into BBQ meat for kids lately, I even got some tonite "AFTER" I put the fire out, yep she burned it up.

Says it didn't "shut off" so I go and check it and there is a grease fire. BBQ is still against the house so I slide it out and go get an extinguisher. Come back and it fully engulfed (new propane tank too) so I get it out just as the lines melt to tank/reg. Only fatality is the BBQ (it did need cleaning) and a used up extinguisher.

Could have been worse as I got the little extinguisher from the truck vs the 2 big ones closer. Neighbors were very interested, wife said I "have" a history (garage fire 16 years ago)

Dang Fred.

Been planning to move one of the sheds closer to the shop. It was previously an office used by previous owners, and it was out front by the street.
I decided to build a new fence, including a 2 block base to keep the shop from flooding again. The shed was in the way. It was also 6" in the ground. After digging around it and looking behind the metal siding, I realized how bad the termite damage was.

A before and after pic.

Big wind storm in Bullhead AZ a couple days ago. Knocked down many trees and power poles. Slowly getting the power back on and without air conditioning it is not nice. Our place came through ok no power so will have to clean out freezer when we get back down there. Lots of roof damage and a few block walls around town and of course the temps in the 100+.

Well Ken the bad is I am not down there ( or good). Sounds like help arrived and most of the grid is back online. Poor EV guys had  hard time keeping a cool place to sit without power. Another story

You said block walls?  Meaning the wind took them down!!?!!? Oh my. I wanted so badly to do a cinder block wall around my place. Wife said it would feel like a prison, kinda  compound what I had in mind honestly.

But for real they can blow over like any other fence?

Yes they do. Of course it depends on how you build it.  If you use rebate and fill the cells they are pretty stout but that is a lot of surface for wind to catch.

Around here they use a lot of 4" wide, interlocking block with normal 8" single stack pillars every 10 foot. They only fill the pillars, and run a single strand of rebar (sometimes) under the top row of block. You could knock them down with a lawnmower.

Two puppies woke me up two hours early this morning. They wanted to go outside, potty and play. Came back in and still wanted to play. I start work and they go back to sleep
