It was awful. She needed surgery right away, but got away with 40 stitches. Believe me it was a terrible thing. The next day I took Scout to Animal control. They evaluated the dog and told us he was dangerous. Further they were not willing to release him to any family anywhere. He was put down after 10 days. You may recall I was a bit quiet on the forumIt was a bad and trying time. Kat wanted to do something to help me deal with the bite and losing my friend. Scout. So she went on this fanatical search for the perfect, family oriented, and safe, companion dog. She came up with the Bernese Mountain Dog from Switzerland. She located a litter and the rest is history.

Super news Mike....I am going through the wait and see game right now too. Hopefully all is still good here as well.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb. I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Well, I notched two 4x6 posts incorrectly for my mezzanine two days ago. Wish I would have known then that if I screw up framing somehow it is Dave’s fault! Guess I had better up update the build thread....

Or just shorten the height of the structure by your mess up height. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shawn, it was his ex's brother. He had framed my brother's garage about 15 years ago and we were pretty impressed....but now he has a crew, and rides around in a truck all day. The phone call went as expected:"my guys are saints", "why do you have oddball sized doors?", "why didn't you double check my guys' work?", "why did it take you a year to realize the issue?". I swear, my brother talks tough but sure lets guys run over him. He can't say I didn't warn him..."I'm going to sub my own house" he says. "how hard can it be?" he says.
And that’s the GCs job to make sure things are done right. And hold checks until they are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well we don’t have snow on the ground. It’s been snowing off and on for a couple weeks now but warming enough to keep it off the ground. Now, the shocker for 10 October. The big lake has begun to harden over...Yeah, ice forming in the bays... that’s a touch early. But many of the larger bodies have been froze over for a week or so now. One of our other houses is going much better than mine Brick back splashing I did, I don’t like the idea but it will look nice Concrete simulator tiles we put up on the fireplace. Again differing opinions but it looks great Custom hand rail by our welder/fabricator inside and outside of the house. It gets paint after inspection and all other trades are finishedSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
