How many miles on the clock of you who own these 2500'sI'm looking at getting one. Most have 120K on the odometer...I'll most likely get a 08-newer with the 6.0
We love our 2500 Yukon XL. If you dont plan to tow heavy, the factory efans are nice for the summer time and lead to better mpg in the winter when the AC is not on! Also if you plan to do any towing, get a tranny cooler. Else enjoy it!
If Big D buys it the answer is a resounding NO!!!!!
So is one with 125K still viable for some time?
we'll be towing a lot for sure... but probably not north of 5000lb. i believe it has a tranny cooler on it already. i need to check.
Y'all are making me want one. I don't have a clue if this is a good price or not but I like the looks of it. http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/1AAF73D9Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here's a low mileage one for Don...https://autoauctions.gsa.gov/GSAAutoAuctions/VehicleDetails/3GNGK26K08G311777
He was most likely referencing an aftermarket add on in addition to the stock one built into most radiators if the vehicle is equipped stock with an auto transmission. We used to run ones from summit that had their own small fan built in and we had them wired off of a temp sensor to start up.
heres a sweet one in UThttps://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/675385607/overview/
curious if its the 4 speed auto or 6. i think the 6 was introduced in 2009. the 4 speed was all over the place when we test drove one.

It is easy to tell. The shifter either has the + and - buttons indicating a 6 speed trans, or it doesn't indicating a 4 speed.

He is pretty much in love with it. $25,900 is pretty much it, well so far.He added 50 more pics to the web site after I kept asking about the undercarriage. The lift is a cheapo Rancho and the shocks look all worn out and buggered up. Tires are about 50%. Mileage is 129K I think, and it has some serious cosmetic scratches.Good point is that it was built in Texas and sold in texas, Lived its whole life there until 2017!I want it so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a couple more. http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/1AC39E3Bhttp://atcm.co/S2PVDP/1AC9B16BAnd if you're not afraid of one with more miles the cost savings of this one would leave lots of room for upgrades. http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/1A5406A8Sorry for hijacking your thread stewie. I got a little sidetracked thinking about how much fun it would be watching Flyin6 work one of these over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I believe 2013 was the last year for them, so they will hold their value quite well. If you are going to look at these with the 6.0L gas engine, check the driver side rear exhaust manifold bolt. 9 times out of 10 the bolt head will be broken off and missing. It causes a little exhaust leak between the manifold and the head. Most people ignore it until it starts ticking. Requires drilling out and tapping the hole for a new bolt, or using a repair bracket. Not the end of the world, but it can be a great bargaining chip with a dealer because the repair is fairly labor intensive. I have used the repair bracket on 3 engines in a row now, seems to work just fine.
I wouldn't think so unless the exhaust leak was really large.
Mine also has to occasional bump or stumble when idling. I have been meaning to dig into that but haven't had time. It runs great otherwise.

Here's another 2500 for Don!!http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Chevrolet-Suburban-2500-YUKON-XL-4X4-SLT-DURAMAX-DIESEL-CONVERSION-/132084285463?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1ec0d64017:g:5XYAAOSw4DJYk-kf&item=132084285463
Thats one sweet truck My guess is its probably only worth about $40-$42k but it appears to be done very well. No mention of the mileage on the donor motor. If I had more money than sense I'd love to take an newer escalade ESV and put a dmax in it.
They do alot of those out here. 35k is about the going price but those are the 800 body styles. Fact I even sold my old intercooler to the guy who does them.
