I started another 100 days of prayer today.
It's been a year since I did the last one and some of you joined me. Well America and the world has not improved, and I think our families, our friends, our leaders, our nation, the world, those suffering everywhere, those caught up in addiction, or temptation, or are hungry or in financial trouble all need prayer.
So who will join me? I'd ask that you make up a list and every morning or day, set aside a little time and go down that list. You can publically announce here of this thread, or you can join me annomonously. However you decide, please do decide to commit some time to praying with me/us here for the next 100 days.
Lift up:
Your spouse
Your family
The folks on this forum
Yourself for wisdom and protection against the enemy
Let's lift up our country, our culture, and the kingdom of God as it is on earth.
Let's pray for those in fear and suffering and at war.
Let's pray against the plans of the enemy!
And let's pray for individuals who you know are in need.
Let's pray for revival and conviction for those who are falling away or who do not know Jesus.
And Let's thank God for allowing his son to dwell amongst us and teaching us the way and for his everlasting grace.

Day 4
Still sick, but no worries, I can still pray and talk with God!
And besides, no one gets out of life alive! ;-)
-
Get well already. Lifting up Nate as well going through EIB. He answered a text message yesterday.

5. Good time this morning.
-
Day 6
Got it done at zero-dark-early while lying in the bed.
Decided to just have a casual conversation with Jesus. Turned out well, I think. That's how you can do it, just start talking to the empty chair ot pillow or whatever. Do it like a crazy person. Everything you ask that aligns with the purpose of the kingdom is heard.
I sort of asked him for some help with this nagging cold.
(Hoping my good health aligns with the purposes of the Kingdom of God) ;-)
-
Day 7
Falling into a rhythm. I have noticed that its best when I do it first thing, before anything else. Prioritizing God over the things I want to do.
Still sick, but also still alive. I have breath in my lungs, I will pray.
-
Amen.
-
Any day you spend in prayer with our Father is a good day

Day 8
Have a pretty good prayer list, I think. I will oftentimes add to the list over the 100-day cycle. There are plenty of other times during the day when one can pray for something that comes to mind, so these 100-day prayers tend to be more list-like for me.
Still have this dog-gone cold. Tested neg for Covid this morning. Thought for sure I must have it. Hard to believe a simple cold stays in hard for seven days!
-
Still lifting you up to get well
-
Still lifting you up to get well
I think you need to lift me about one foot higher! ;-)

Don praying for you. Saturday morning with the Lord done. Going to have lunch with our pastor and his family later today for some good old fashion fellowship

Day 8
Dedicated time to our lord is essential.
It is good for us to have a schedule.
It is good for us to sacrifice some of our time for him.
It refreshes our minds about what is important so that we do not forget during the daily hustle and bustle.
It keeps us closer to him.
It makes sinning more difficult.
and
Most importantly
Our Father loves it!
We literally cannot give the Lord almost anything.
How do you give anything to the creator of all of existence?
But,
When he gave us freedom of choice,
He opened the door and gave us an opportunity.
He cannot make us choose.
But if we choose to bow our heads, obediently,
Then we just gave God Almighty the one thing he did not create,
Our love.
-
A good day.
-
Amen. Another great day.
-
Amen, what a joy to have a one on one conversation with our Lord

Day 12
Got it done
Slept in way late...Still have this cold or whatever it is but am on the mend now. I guess my body wasn't finished healing last night.
-
This is good.
-
good news
-
Day 13
-
Me too
-
Day 14, early...
-
Had mine completed by 05:30 but Tap talk wouldn't let me post
-
Still going.
-
Day 15
-
15 it is.
-
Day 16

Day 17

-
Day 18
-
18 Roger.
-
Day 19
Today would have been my brother's 65th birthday. But a couple of years ago he ended his life and no one knows why. It is a bitter time for me because although he rejected his family (A demon?) I loved him.
So now he is gone, and I do not think he knew the Lord, so I'll likely never see him again.
So, in my daily prayer, I lift up those who feel there is no hope. I lift up those who are sick, or lonely, who feel alone and abandoned. I lift up those who are at war, or in danger or frightened. I lift up those addicted and living in the shadows. I lift up those who have a mental illness or anything that is a barrier to happiness. I asked today, and I ask every day that the Lord Jesus our Christ would meet them personally at their point of need and just let them know he is there, and he is real and is but one breath away.
-
Amen.
-
And here we are at Day 20
1/5th of the way home to completing 100 days of prayer
Blessed are those who pray for the will of God to be done here on earth!

-
Day 30 and strong!
Lifting all of you up...
-
Day 30. Needing this right now.
-
thirthy-oneth
Probably not an actual proper number, but you get the idea.
Felt a need to pray for Children in need, who were helpless and frightened. And a need for spouses who lost their husbands and wives. For people suffering from cancer and diabetes, and other chronic diseases. I felt the need to pray for Africans, as it seems to me that it is a lost place mostly devoid of caring and overwhelmed by thieves, liars, and swindlers. I prayed for those who feel hopeless about their situations, that in all these cases, God himself would touch them and meet them in a personal way at their point of need to show them that there is hope and although this life may be a difficult struggle, glory lies on the other side of life in the eternal love of Jesus and the kingdom of God.
-
Amen
-
Day 32
-
33.
-
Day 33
Its been a trying day...
-
34.
-
Day 34
-
Tap talk is still an issue but still praying daily
-
Day 35. Thanking the Lord for all my blessings.
-
Day 35
And today, broken families were on my mind. I asked for restoration and harden hearts to be softened, and for old hangups to dissolve and in love sons would be restored to fathers and daughters to mothers, and in the middle of all that, wives fully restored to their husbands...
-
Day 36
When I am praying, I have what I think of as an "Open area" It's the time right after I lift up all of you. At that moment I just let my mind drift and then pray for whatever comes to mind.
Today I thought and prayed for women. Women who feel detached from their husbands and their children. I prayed for the widows and those who are lonely or hungry or forgotten. I then thought of orphans. I asked for someone who knows Jesus would come in a loving way into these children's lives. I prayed for children who are lost or hungry or sick, but my overall feeling was one of "detachment," or rather of all those who feel and live this.
-
Day 36. Outside work with lots of time to think and pray.
-
We're at day 37
Today in that quiet moment I was feeling the need for prayer for people with cancer, and people who are hungry. I felt the loneliness of families which are separated, particularly by war circumstances.
-
37. Good day to lift up family and the church.
-
Day 38
-
38.
-
Day 39
Completed early this morning...Forgot to post then :-(
-
39 for me as well.
-
Day 40
I felt like praying against the spirit of deception that rules the masses. How can so many come to believe in all this nonsense out there if it were not for ignorance, and some willingness to just go with the first thing one hears? I ask for an awakening and a thirst for the truth.
John 14:6 ►
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
-
I did 40. Had some internet challenges. Got 41 in early today. Felt right to lift up our government at all levels asking God to move on them.
Today would have been my son's 29th birthday.
-
Matt, you and Kathy were a part of my prayer this morning before I even read the post.
If any of you on Real Man have specific needs, if you would PM me, I'll put you on my list of people/things to pray for.
100 days of prayer is a powerful thing. It can get the Lord our God to take notice. When many righteous men pray together and for the same thing, he will move mountains and line things up. I generally work around the list I published way back on page one but add to and subtract as I feel led. I want to feel there are some of you joining me in prayer as well, in fact, I know of some.
Sometimes I feel like Lot of Sodom who lived amongst the most wicked of people. I think of how he pleaded to save the city. If he could just find 100, no, 50, no 10, how about just one? I do hope there are many of you who are joining me in this particular 100 days of prayer.
Day 41
I felt the need to pray for blue-collar workers who are struggling to make ends meet and felt as though things were getting worse. I prayed for foreigners who have come here and earnestly want to become Americans. I pray that they find friends and work and a good church and weave themselves into the fabric of our great nation.
-
Day 42
I was lifting up those who live in fear. I asked that they find comfort in Jesus who has conquered all fear and evil. Although we may suffer and the world around us will remain in turmoil, at the end Jesus wins. If we have Jesus as our savior, then no matter what happens around us, we are on the winning side. I ask that people adopt a more eternal mindset. Life, physical life is short, there's a new country song every day telling us this, but eternal life is with time and without end. If you believe in Romans 10:9, then you are an eternal heavenly spirit. Stay focused on that.

Day 48
And I felt the need to pray for all those in fear. In fear of a global war. In fear of our country collapsing or entering a time of economic uncertainty. I felt it come to me that all fear is from the devil but hope and steadfastness through faith are from God.

Day 49
As I went into that time when I just listen for that little voice which is probably more like a feeling, the one that points me, I wasn't hearing anything. So I went from thought to thought to see if anything caught. Nothing did, so I just started to pray for everyone who needs a savior. Then just like that, if felt right. I lift up those searching for the truth who need to know why they are alive and what is the purpose of their life. I mean those people out there who don't know Christ. My prayer is for him to touch these people because when that happens they will know,
John 10:3-4
"The gatekeeper opens the gate for [the shepherd], and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice."

Day 52.
Ya, have some family issues but seem to be moderating. All I'll say is being a father can be a darned hard thing to be. So I guess I'll take a moment to lift up fathers. Give them the steadfastness to always stand up for what is right, regardless of how the world would think we should behave. For just as the path to heaven is a narrow road, being a father and standing on the truth can be a lonely place. But stand we must.

Day 55
Today, especially after witnessing and sharing with the gentleman from yesterday, I prayed for broken families. I prayed for all those suffering because one or both of the adults has slid off the rails and gone into a world of sin where they feel justified. In that same manner, I pray against the demons of mental illness. Jesus is stronger than all of them added together, but if the person possessed does not 1. Believe in Jesus, and 2. does not command them to leave, then there is little the rest of us can do other than pray that the afflicted call on Jesus. He is always there, but because God gave us the freedom to choose, we need to do that. Doing nothing is also a choice. It is a choice not to call on God to help...

Lifting up Christians who attend college or work in places that have embraced the woke mentality. I/we recognize this concept of woke as being evil and another clever tool of the devil, and we claim victory over it so that no matter how aggressive or persistent they become, the love of God will shine through and win in the end. Strengthen those kids as they fight through what seems like a tidal wave of evil trying at every turn to upend their lives and attempts at being righteous.

I finished the 100 days of prayer this morning.
I took off early on a drive down to my farm. I was going down winding country roads under a beautiful blue sky. I prayed out loud for a lot of the drive. I lifted all of you up and will continue to do so. As you bless and sow into this place, may the Lord accordingly bless and sow into your lives.
We finish up on the last day of April
I hope that many of you joined us in this season of focused prayer for some/all of the things listed way back at the beginning. Although we pass from this season of prayer, we move ahead into a time of new opportunities. Take the time to love your neighbor. Take a moment to hug your wife and children. Take a moment to reflect on grace, and what it meant to God Almighty to surrender his son on the cross and to watch him suffer all that torment. Take a moment to reflect, maybe, or just think about the sacrifices of soldiers. Take a moment to forgive yourself. Take a moment to consider the possibility, that YOU have the right to be happy. Amidst all the turmoil and bad news, take a moment to consider what a great nation we are blessed with. Do not think you are better than anyone, but know that you are only in a different condition. Know at your core that it is not you but God who has done all those great things you think you did. Do not be jealous of anything, and really, although you are standing in trouble up to your ears that there is always hope. Know that almost everything can be forgiven. Be mindful that the only sin which cannot be forgiven is rejecting Jesus as your lord and Savior.
-
100. Amen.
