I am also thinking about selling everything.
First day back from Idaho my 1 employee gave me his 2 weeks. I actually didn't see it coming after 8 years of working together.
I'd welcome you as a neighbor, if you can afford it. Property up there is going sky high like everywhere else. Guess we bought at the perfect time. (Worth triple+ what we paid)

Time to go home. Freaking rain.
Tried to go over a mountain yesterday. Made it 12 miles and had fun turning around.

Just looked at these photos again. That tree on the left is a little close, no?

You sound like the neighbors that stopped by. "You cut tin to save a piece of s*** white pine? Around here we cut trees, not tin!!" . I responded that we don't have trees in the desert and I have an appreciation for them. They laughed. I cried. There's 2 there, in line. I planned the pad around them, just didn't measure right. My solar and cameras are on those 2 trees. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

I like the electric fence idea. Wonder if a self contained solar fence would work?
It's running on 3 batteries that have 2 solar panels. Problem is winter. I think that's when the batteries froze because they lost charge. I insulated them to hopefully help next time. Only reason for the fence is bears and they might have worked since I didn't find a destroyed RV. Charles, I was explaining the bucket trap to my brother but we ran out of time and went with the easy button. Edit: didn't realize the fence was for mice. Thought you were referring to the one I had. Cool idea Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

Charles, not much I can say..... But at least I got away from 110 degrees for a few days, although A/C is a cheaper way to do it.
JR, mothballs around trailer. ... And 2 large jugs of something similar to sleeping pills, kinda like Putin uses on his opposition. Those mice really pissed me off.

Don, yes, quite common a few years ago during the last drought. Right now there's so much rain there's moss on everything I left there last year, including the yellow excavator. The main reason I'm clearing with the dozer is for a fire break.

Looks like the printer mis-typed a 5 there to me Ken…
Absolutely. But I will say, that's the best towing trailer I've ever had the pleasure to pull, although I think the axles might be on backwards. Noticed the brakes diminishing about 300 miles in on steep grades, but it will snap your neck going backwards on a very steep incline. Also lost a special 5/16 fuel return hose in Elwood right after I posted. No one open at that hour. Found a long vent hose on my slip tank, 5/16. Thank God, and I did several times. Took us 24 hours this time. Also lucky the egr fell off awhile back. It would've been darn near impossible to fix with the tools I had. ... rodents had a very nice winter in the RV. Still cleaning up. Batteries in the trailer froze and blew up. Linoleum flooring split.... But at least no bear damage! Raining nonstop. Haven't been able to start on finishing the roof. Signing off. Need to find a laundromat for every stitch of cloth in the trailer. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

Just passed Dave#1's stomping grounds. Was going to text him hi and bye but figured he might be crashed... 10:30pm local time.
$540.00 in fuel so far. 769 miles. Averaging 7.5 mpg. Only 700 more miles to go. Lol
Cheapest fuel so far, $5.45 in Elwood, Utah. At home it was $5.30

I know a Goodman isn't a Trane, but going rate here is 9-12k installed, per unit, depending on seer. Out here almost everyone is using heat pump combo units.
I bought 2, a 4 ton and a 5 ton dual stage 16 seer for a total of $8300 delivered. ( Almost $600 in tax) Had to rent a a Skyjack twice which set me back 1400 iirc. Under 10 grand and a few hours labor for 2 units ain't bad.
Had a couple friends tell me to shy away from Goodman but my old ones lasted 15 years, and only one failed because I never cleaned the evaporator, and it corroded through.

Spent plenty of time behind a 7mm. It was my primary for elk and deer until I got the 300 Weatherby dialed in. The 300wm would give you more room for error than the 7mm at distance. Definitely wouldn't use a 6.5 for elk. I know people do, but I won't be one of them.

And here is some information for libs that want to cry and rend their clothes over school shootings
So interesting web site I found. In 2021 61 children were murdered with firearms in Chicago. 793 total. 641 of the 793 were black. 47 of the 61 children were black. No one gives a crap about them because they weren’t killed by white cops.
https://graphics.suntimes.com/homicides/
Certainly not dismissing the tragedy of Uvalde or Sandy Hook et at. But if you want to be outraged be outraged equally at the dozens of kids murdered in CHI

I don’t think HP has anything to do with HP tuners.

Thats the problem with the "standard category" stuff you are so limited what you are "allowed" to do.
That is part of the reason I wanted experiential and I can also do the annuals myself. Or make almost anything it might need part wise.
And not too many planes right out of the box that have the performance the T28 has, 200Kts cruise and very stable flight manners.
This unit was in need of love but nothing that couldn't/cant be fixed.
Only thing that sucks right now is $7 AV gas, @50GPH its makes for a fun day at the pump.

Been puttering with trim work on the sunroom. I’m a framer not a finisher. So I hate trim, carpet all that crap.
Started at the table saw with the resawn cedar.
Heck of a pile of sawdust. And not a lot done. But alas, some trim work is done.
So now just windows left. And that I’m totally not looking forward to. The cedar boards and the window frames are not exactly aligned, nor are they any two the same. So yeah, not looking forward to that.

Nice range Sam. I still don't understand what that white stuff is. Guess my buddy needs to lose weight. He took out the up and down gears in my passenger seat. Company called Gruven makes some nice brass ones....$50 per and I needed 2. You have to cut off the plastic gears and epoxy the brass ones on. https://www.gruvenparts.com/gm-truck-brass-seat-height-adjustment-gears/
