I went with a v-belt style clutch, because I didn't want a longer serpentine belt, and if ever there's an issue, I can always just cut the belt. The only place to mount it was on the bracket for the optional 2nd alternator (mine didn't have one). To make this work, I needed to weld a pulley to the outside of the p/s pulley. I bought a new one for about 15 bucks from GM (sounds too cheap right?) so I wouldn't have to disable the truck while this experiment took place. the V pulley came off of an old dakota smog pump...it's the only one I could find that was solid steel...not 2 pieces stamped/welded together. ....new p/s pulley prepped for welding: ...then cut the center out of the v pulley so a puller will still fit on to the p/s pulley:

Here's a short thread on installing a York style compressor on a vehicle. There's a million ways to do this, and a million guys have done it in the past. This is my version, on a '12 GMC diesel. I already have an ARB electric compressor pumping to a small tank that feeds the wireless air bag system and air horns. I'm added a second tank (2.5 gallon ?) under the rear passenger floorboard because that's the only space I have left. It's tied into the rear tank, and I left the accessories the way they were, just unplugging the electric pump. I went with a "mini" york, a 206 model, because of limited space on a newer Dmax. They are about 2/3rds the size of a full size york (209/211): ...the previous setup. the black thing is the air bag setup:

I've been wanting to protect the leather in my new-to-me truck for some time now. This ('12 GMC) is, in theory, the last truck I will buy and want it to stay nice for as long as i can. I decided to try out these Coverking Tactical Ballistic Canvas Seat Covers from Auto Anything. They had 3 choices for color; Black, Charcoal, and cashmere....I picked the charcoal. They're as stiff as cardboard, but seam to be pretty tough, and come with Molle on the backsides. The seats are light grey (almost white) with charcoal dash accents. The covers don't match anything, but after waiting a month and a half, they were installed anyway.

IIRC the nipple/fitting that the return line hooks to has the check valve. What you're looking for is anything that can bleed off when the engine shuts down; cp3 internals, pressure release valve, injectors, check valves in lift pump, lift pump sucking air past filters, etc. Nothing cut and dry with that issue, especially since you have eliminated the #1 cause of hard start (the filter head) and you have a lift pump....all it takes is one "not perfect" injector.

Nice to hear HC.
I've been a discount guy for 15 years. I won't buy a tire anywhere else. As little mileage as many of my vehicles get there have been times when a warranty for a road hazard was for a tire that had been discontinued and they prorated the other three and put on a new set. They never charge me for little stuff like a socket for my splined lug nuts that came on a truck I bought or a new center cap for some wheels I bought from them when I lost one.
Good guys all around.
Same here. Best prices, best service. It's just a crying shame that they don't do alignments.

I wouldn't worry too much, but I'd check it yourself when they get done. Usually when they're over full by even a quart or 2, they'll start pushing it out the vent when heated up. 3.5 without pushing it out seems, well, quite frankly, hard to imagine.

Aruba is 30 minutes from Venezuela by boat. Sending your kids there is purely idiotic. Take your family there, sure... it's beautiful. Been there a dozen or so times myself as I have family on the island.
Would I send my son or daughter there by themselves, or even with a group of their friends? No way.
Sint Maarten? No. Sint Bartholomy? No. Sint Eustatius? No.
Saba? Yes.
Funny you mention Maarten, that's where my other future Dr. Daughter is right now...coming home for a visit this weekend as a matter of fact.

Until Norm gives us his secrets concerning the use of everyday fuels for that show car shine, I'll give D a couple tips.....3m and/or Meguires, in multiple steps, with a seperate foam or wool pad for each and be sure to label them with a marker. For example; heavy, medium, fine. (even the pads are different grades...wool=heavier cutting) If you switch to the wrong one at the wrong stage, you have to wash out the pad, and start over. I use an air powered buffer for cutting/polishing work, then switch to an orbital for the wax. ...and try and remember that if you try and take the deep scratches out, you may actually hit paint...after you cut through the clear coat!
It's so time consuming to do it right, that I just don't do it anymore.

I feel the same way.
One of my daughters is going into the medical field, so while in college she had an opportunity to go on a trip to Thailand with her friends (girls) for something similar to Drs w/out borders, helping the poor, yadayada, that would go great towards an internship in the future. I had to put my foot down and educate her on the recent events regarding female slave trade/prostitution . Of course she argued, explaining to me (since I am way less educated than her) how I was exaggerating, etc. She did some of her own investigating, and came to the conclusion that maybe it wasn't a good idea...and she didn't go.
I personally can keep myself happy in just the different terrains of Az.

I just can't think of a cooler handgun, and the quality is pretty good, and options are unlimited for barrels, and it's the only pistol I have that can shoot clays at 300yrds, and the g1 is only one that can go from rim fire to centerfire with the twist of the switch (from the factory )..... Can you tell I'm a fan?

I would like to see him run a deeper gear set then add on a gear vendor overdrive unit. He has the wheel base & this gets him best of all worlds. Low gearing & highway drive ability.
YES! but taller gears like 255s....he could set a decent time at Bonneville on the way out west!! haha
