That has always been my favorite suburban body style, maybe someday.

Going to look at a Bobcat 331 excavator on FB Tuesday.

Those doggone heater fittings do that all the time around here. Should be ok, but it won't take it a second time.

Talking about suburbans, any of you guys see that big car carrier ship salvage in Georgia? I think they said around 5000 vehicles, and from the videos I've watched they're mostly Yukons, trucks, and Suburbans. Made me sick.

Here's a vid with close-ups:

Interesting wiki.
The first vid I watched said basically 4200 kias to the middle east. Then the next one I watched said it was traveling from Mexico to Baltimore, which made more sense after seeing chebbys, but wiki says both are true.

Got the engine oil cooler removed seals/gasket replaced and reinstalled. No leaks! Sorry no pictures because it was so nasty didn't want to touch the phone. I guess I never got that area washed very well after I fixed the valve cover gasket leak. Life would have been easier if I had a lift

Yesterday, I ordered another rear main seal.
For fifty bucks I could not take the chance on a poor seal installation.

Way too much work to go back.

Did the same for my rear axle. Not as much work as a rear main, but still a pain.

Im just sayin, if you have a good pellet gun that is sighted in correctly.....and you have a turkey tag........and you are able to do a head shot WITHOUT damaging your neighbor's property....and they fall fall into your yard and not you neighbors (unless they dont care?).....then you should be good to go.

I may or may not have an experience with this sort of thing and doves (read pigeons) .....lol

"Crows" and whitetail are like rabbits out here. no one on the golf course side would shed a tear if they all wound up in my freezer. 3-4 dozen a night wander into the school ball field and eat the nice grass, on the golf course side, they jump our fence to eat the flower buds etc. but the Turkeys are like giant chickens; scratch and dig and uproot and crap everywhere.

Based on the aluminum spray, that typically in my experience is a super lean condition.
Normally for me its an iced up carb, an intake boot seal or a crankcase seal failure.

Top of piston likely has a hole or getting close to one.

I do have some fuel leak on and around the float bowl, I have a carb rebuild kit on order.  Boots carb cleaner tested fine on reassembly ( spraying cleaner around while motor was running caused zero change) but it’s possible I’ll need new cylinders and that will then require more fuel from bigger flat slide carbs:(

I’m pretty confident in my jetting carb tuning.    I think the water pump let loose and it over heated.
The alternate is he put .002 piston to large in.  And when warmed up under load killed it.

The plugs were chocolate golden, not to dark at all

Mixed @40:1 like I have in every other banshee

The builder doesn’t want me to open it which makes me more suspicious about it.   He was the one who built it from parts for me.  He told me he did the water pump, so who knows I have lots of doubts about it all

.002 should not seize a piston, 2 stroke or not. Unless the rings were to big.

This followed me home today. Starting the "fluid change". Now its acting like its out of fuel?? Just a little dirty.

After going to Bret's grave yesterday (family had a beer with him) my CV axle came apart on the highway and had the truck towed home. I guess I have a CV axle to replace this weekend.

Anyone (Ken) do you know what size the bolts are the connect the CV axle and the carrier flanges together so I don't have to pull one and take it with me? I was thinking that after 15 years if I have them out I should go back with new ones

Okay will but the good old GM original back in there. Can't get the half shaft until 4 this afternoon. What is wrong with part stores now a days. You know it is a Chevy CV shaft not like I'm working on a BMW or something un American.

From one visit to the next, I will have cleared a large area and dug a pond.
Her: "Something looks different, you cut the grass?"

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
