My problem is my ground is all rock. This is what I dug out last summer from my French drain project and a couple problem spots in the front lawn.

Back yard is the north side of the house so it gets almost no sun in the winter so moss grows like crazy. Put down a heavy dose of Scott's turfbuilder with moss out this evening.

I need to dig down about 6" and bring in good topsoil like I did at my old place.

It was gorgeous.

Good lord that's a lot of rock. That reminds me of out in Spanaway, nothin but glacial rock

I got a little leg up on most... my sod is growing on a bed of minimum 6" of fresh 2-way compost/sand...

Come up north to our cabin to see the difference between rocks and boulders!

Did some road work a few years ago now.  Every few years we try and improve/ maintain the road.  It is always a constant struggle with "rocks" getting pushed up and then the holes that follow after removing said rocks.  My uncle operated the back hoe to dig them out and I used the skid-steer to double team the big ones to pop them out of the hole.  The bigger ones we pulled out were around 3- 4 ft round.  Some of them required both the skid-steer and backhoe pushing on them to clear them of the road.

NON - DOT MATERIAL TO FOLLOW:
Nice work there Dawg.....now on the outside kennel fence, remember to have the lower bars of the fence/enclosure a few inches up off of the ground, so you can spray/hose it down easily and remove debris like terds etc. easily.  My trainer who has 40+ kennels has the front up just enough to slide the feed pans under without opening all of the doors etc.

Let the work of the DOT's continue..........

Yea, me N' rocks...We have these big flat pieces of Limestone everywhere. Can't just push a tree over with the Track, because the roots envelope a subterranean trash can sized chunk of dead crustacean! And the flatness provides a lot of surface area for the next thing we have a lot of...Clay!

The two combine to form a bunch of gooey mass that everyone just builds on top of since it isn't ever moving anyway. Rocks are so bad here, I hear the trees don't even like em'!

Now, Sarge you ask?

Yea, Sarge likes em!

Well, speaking of rocks.... it rocks that I'm done with this project.

All of yesterday was spent finishing the wall, and laying all the caps. A lot of one off cuts with a diamond wheel on the angle grinder. And 10 tubes of paver adhesive.

Finished product:

Will backfill behind the upper wall with pea gravel (it's going to be a dog kennel), and behind the lower wall will be top soil for plants and such

I've been called out for being MIA so I thought I'd update so y'all don't think I've joined antifa or something ridiculous

Got all the fencing done

I built all the cedar fence

I built the man gate such that from the street it doesn't look like there's a gate there

And then after the fence was done, I finished the back lot and got grass planted

I graded it out with the box blade off camera, then drug it with my homemade harrow. It was nice and flat when I seeded, and then rolled it in

Few updates around the house

Man gate finally got installed, they built it too big so they had to cut 3/4" off each side, reweld and re-powder coat

My landscaping equipment was here there and everywhere, so I decided to organize it all in one corner of the garage, and get some stuff up on the wall

Heh, cuz I can...

Those commifornia regs are out to lunch.
At least I can just pin mine to 10 rds and be legal.
10 for pistol, 5 for semi rifle of any variety.

Somehow safer, cause no one likes carrying 10 mags...
And a mag change takes so long...
SMH

I feel your pain JR, but to a seemingly lesser degree these days.

And here we are junkin' up Kyles thread... Sorry Dawg.

Funny thing is the new regs take a step back. Now you don't have to have a bullet button if you use use something like the monster grip or paddle on the grip. So you have a regular mag release with all the mags you want.

You can use a regular 10rd mag in the pistol not pinned, right?

Yes regular 10 rounders as cool.
Anything over is pinned, with a pop rivet...

Heck, they've even screwed us with 10-22 mags now. By reading their rules a different way...the 25's and bigger need pinned now as they for the pistol version that came many decades later.
Now, the 10 round AR pistol mags are legal as the were designed for the pistol... Figure that out if you can...

Sorry Kyle.

Sounds like here to a point. They are still looking at the rimfires, not sure if they are included yet.

You will need a license to buy ammo in 18 and they are looking at how many total rounds you have.
