Correct, drop the tail gate on sq d & he has a better welding table than those wooden cardboard covered night stands he uses in his garage at home! Technically with Sarge he can just drag sq d around the farm & call it a portable welder "system"?!? :o
Yes would fit the bill of portable.
And heck there's room enough to series parallel quite a few batteries in the box.
Charge via Sarge while moving the portable system.

Finally got around to grinding up caribou last night.

About 115-120 lbs all said and done.
Blended with 30% pork, bagged in 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 lb bags.

Lots of dust when dry!

On the left vs right, I have both and never realized the difference. My left is cordless, and the rights are corded. Also not sure I've seen a left with a cord. I'm a southpaw and find the left blade easier, not sure if that matters. And maybe that's why I prefer it too come to think of it.

Yeah I agree^^.

To my dads surprise I picked up a 69 mustang coupe a couple years ago. He knows I'm a die hard Bowtie guy, but there's something about that era, all brands theres a model or two on my I will buy given the opportunity to.
Has a 351W in it, and I'm not sure on my plans on it. Once I find time to determine if it's all original, that will determine the course of action on it.

If I remember correctly the stuff we used on the outhouse recommend a minimum of 100 yards.

Forty odd feet is Darwinism at its finest.
We were 350-400 yards and I wasn't entirely comfortable at range. Lol.

Sheesh, some people!
Add to it being that bad of a shot that you can't hit 6x6 odd inches at 50 feet!?!?

Well, I think we can pull the boss off the list now.

She's doing great considering. Hobbling along quite well, the boot is a bit tall for her shoes but she's dealing well.
Currently she's waiting to board the several flights to Ireland. School trip that she'd comitted to last year, so in true trooper form she'll soldier on through it.

Thanks everyone once again!
God bless.

I'd likely groove it with a grinder.
I'm Leary of the .025 tho, not sure you can get enough heat with that wire.
I'd suggest getting some .035 and put some good current and heat to it.
I do use flux core, but only if I can't run gas.
May be worth the investment in some solid .035.
Just my .02 and others likely will chime in too.

Yeah, it's critter protection. More importantly it will protect the transformer from the would be explosion from a critter becoming a fuse. Birds are the typical target up here and a single bird has been know to take out large transmission stations without the 'bird guards' as we know them.

Shop is looking good. I hope you don't regret the low ceiling in he long run.

I think I put that same hitch in mine. Sure a lot more than the stocker.
I salvaged the mount off the old one to put in somewhere when I do my rear bumper.

I don't think you're planning on bumpers, so you'll have to cut carefully so as not to damage the chrome. There is a good chance however that it will show up in the future. Cut with no heat, and treat the edges with some form of rust preventer, and it should hold up for a while.

...and here I thought there might be some rebuild action shots.

Looks nasty, in a better way now, hope it goes well for you.

All I can suggest is do what they say, and don't rush into the rehab too soon.
Our bodies are an amazing thing, but some things take a long time to get back to normal.

I'm not looking forward to 60, they say I've broken mine "at least" 3 and 4 times.
I'm stubborn, and ignore most things, so never a cast. Passed 40 a few years ago, and well, it's all starting to catch up now. I see this as one of my future rebuilds also.

So Connie met with the ortho surgeon again today.
He says her leg is all healed up and good to go.
Well slowly. Boot off at home and night time, one to two weeks and then done for good. She is to start walking without the boot at home and get the strength back.

Thanks all for the prayers.

I've ran a few hundred gallons through my LBZ.
Mom and dad had oil furnace and the holding tank was on its way out.
Pumped it out filtered a few passes, then ran it 5 gallons a tank.
I wouldn't push any more for fear of issues. So yeah some motors will burn it, but, I'd be scared to run a lot at once in our common rail motors.

Thanks for everything guys. I like your idea Don.

So a little update.
The plaster cast is gone, it did what it needed and the bone is healing well.
It was an ugly little diagonal break, about an inch above the ankle.

Connie is now sporting a removable plastic boot, and was given the go ahead to start using her leg again. Not all the way out of the woods, but darned close now.

The ones pictured with the bearings will be fine.
I have a mud issue and my vent tube occasionally gets plugged up, alternatively winter it has iced up, from my understanding the main cause of seal failures.
I'd say use what's there and you'll be good.

FWIW, once you do it once they're pretty simple the next times.
