What are you working on?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When finished it will have dirt compacted all the way up to the top and then rip rap all around. No chance of debris making it hard to find. If I get it done right there should be little if any debris. I have created a graded area all along that side of the drive that is doing a good job directing water. I lined it with 3x5 riprap and it seems to be doing well. Once I'm done with the culvert and main drainage then I get to finish the other 600 ft of drive with roadbase to eliminate erosion. Cruise, do you have a one or two piece driveshaft?TRN- I have a one piece driveshaft. Jon - The dealer said they took off the driveshaft and checked it along with all of the U joints. I have no leaks from any seals. It is also only when applying power at the 58 to 60 mph range. If you let off the throttle and coast it goes away. Tightening / replacing the leaf spring U Bolts while good to know and do didn't seem to effect it. I'm thinking it might be as simple as tires. They are getting into the 6/32 range they are siped so they might be squirrely. I'm going to replace them at the end of the summer so we will see if the vibration gets worse until then or something blows. LOL Thanks for thinking about it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Ken, that is what I have been chasing for sure. I might have to take it to a drive shaft shop and have them check for balance. The Dealership said they took it out and checked it but who knows HOW they checked it? Rolled it down the driveway? It is just has to be a harmonic thing if it is only around 60 mph and only if you have throttle on. I had my 100K service done not too long ago and wondered if they forgot to put rear Diff fluid back in. Might have to check that tonight. Things that make you go Mmmmm

When I put it on jack stands at home and ran it, the vibration was so bad I thought my mirrors were going to shake apart. I think the lift must have absorbed some of the vibration. So, Bobby...being the calculating trained warrior NCO that you are. Take the appropriate action, Execute!
your standard grunt level CQB is just putting rounds and rounds on scary stuff till it stops scaring you!
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb. I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.
So long story short, pulled into town at 0500.Needed an hour about 80 miles from home. Currently at the cabin, plotting out the running water install. Wicked SW wind (30 gusting to 45 I'd guess), had to add an extra rope to the boat on the mooring whips. Whitecaps crashing over the top of the dock, 3-4 foot high. Man I love me the mooring whips on days like today. Will be making a quad run across the island to pick up my water tank at some point. Once my service is good, likely going to Imgur to start pics up again. Holding out hope that photobucket loosens up some when everyone leaves, and my links come back to usefulness. Solar update:Still have yet to need generator since the cut over. Full overcast still charging up to 6 amps. Currently mostly cloudy, 28.2 battery volts, 39.6 Amps charging. 1110 watts in.Not bad for 1060 watts of panel set at winter angle.
Up early to head to McMiller Sports - a rifle range, to break-in/sight-in the AR10!
Today I negotiated to purchase a small piece of land that adjoins my property (hide/retirement site). When the survey's were done in the late 1800s, there was no farm road so when the road was put in, it cut corners off several tracts. This resulted in a small piece of the tract across the street being adjacent to mine but on my side of the road. I've been trying to square up my property for a couple of years now and I got the chance today. The seller obviously has leverage since it is worth much more to me than anyone, so I overpaid for it but it will now be transformed into a real large scale garden over the next couple of years. Its the only area aound me that is cleared so it will be a great use of the land. I'm thinking I'll high fence it and plant some fruit trees and row crop it. I'll sign the papers thursday..
Changing the fluid and internal filter today. The fluid is still a nice red and no junk in the pan. The transfer case fluid on the other hand was pretty dirty and I could see some silver floating around. Its probably orignal fluid. Front and rear diffs are next once I get this back together.2 trips to Napa and still don't have the right filter. This one the white one is just a hair too long. I can't get the pan back on. So I called the store and they are checking to see if the make another one. If you don't have a lift in your shop and you have the means to get one I would suggest you do so. It makes these so much eaiser. I just wanted to put in a pit I'm so glad no one listened to me. I am grateful to work at a place that lets me work on my own stuff. Continued the search for a 4 door truck for our expanding family. Almost pulled the trigger on a half ton GMC with the 5.3 but am really struggling with the thought of not having a HD truck available to me. Yesterday I had 1,800lbs of hardwood flooring in the back of my LB7. I couldn't have done that in a 1500. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
