OK, gents, allow me to introduce you to my next (new) tractor.
Its a 2020 (Maybe a 2021??) Kioti 73 horsepower 4WD cab tractor
I traded the John Deere 4720 in on it and got a really great deal I think. From what I can see, this Kioti tractor is over the top. It just reeks quality everywhere. It is finished nicely, it is quiet although sounds amazing and powerful. It has a turbocharged 4-cyl diesel engine made by Kioti. Much the same as the John Deere tractors I used to buy from the 80's and 90's, the green guys used to make a lot of the tractor components themselves. That is no longer true. The John Deere 75 horse tractor is made entirely by Mahindra, and costs $25K more than the Mahindra and the Kioti.

Tires are filled, fuel is topped off, and its ready to rock and roll. Just look at the beef and the heft on this thing
I have the wheel width set in the middle. I think this is a good place to start, although the steepness of my hills may cause me to have to go full wide.

Did you fill the tires with liquid or some type of weight? Is that a thing you guys do?

Some of the business end of the machine. Note that the 3-pt. lift cylinders are externally mounted.
I like that a lot, because the 3-point on the deere failed causing them to have to do a massive teardown to repair. This would be am easy pull and replace
The lower links telescope to make hooking up implements easier, although I plan to mount a quick-attach. The PTO even has a screw on heavy plastic dust cover.
Finally note the red tipped lever. It operates the 3-pt. from outside. What a thoughtful addition to make it easier on us to move that stuff when hooking up a new implement

All my old attachments fit. Uses the same system as the Kubota CTL.
Tires filled with a very heavy non-corrosive liquid. Used to be beet juice, but they have something newer which isn't as costly.
Wait until you see all the lights this thing has stock, like ten or twelve...

Dave brought up a good point about the attachments. It currently has a tractor bucket, but I think I'll swap that out for a smooth edge skid steer bucket so I can use it on the Kubota too.
Look at the visibility you have, and start counting work lights...
Every window except for the windshield opens up

Interior is well laid out.
Switches are everywhere. Its going to take me some time to figure all this out, but most things are self explanatory
I never said I wouldn't modify the thing...I'm pretty sure I'll swap out all the halogen bulbs for LED
Seat raises/lowers and is weight adjustable resting on a suspension. The back tilts, as do the arm rests or they fold away. Some of the interior surfaces are hard vinyl and some are soft touch where you are likely to touch

Dash and controls are laid out well.
Steering wheel tilts
It has a three speed transfer case and a four-speed transmission and finally a reverser. That means it has 12 speeds forward and 12 in reverse. The gearshift on the left has a button (yellow) to shift, you can old school it and push in the clutch pedal, or just push the yellow button and shift, then release the button. TO go forward push the orange lever to the left of the steering wheel forward. To back up just pull it backward. The tractor will automatically clutch, come to a stop, then change direction. Perfect for loader work. It has a gas pedal for that too, to manipulate speed
On the right is the loader control. The button on the handle is for the secondary control such as opening a grapple
The PTO has the standard 540RPM mode and the economy mode which runs the shaft at a slower speed

I think the only thing I have not broken is the internet and the will of God!
Aux 12 VDC plug
Look at how well the steering assembly is tucked up and protected! By comparison, the tie rods on my deere were hanging down and exposed and I managed to break it in half! The Deere tie rods were not greasable...Can you believe that. When I pulled them off, they were as dry as a bone and filled with dirt.
Note that the exhaust pipes are also armored up

Great looking tractor there boss. Answered my questions on shifting and front hydro (I need to add that)
You will never have enough light, my next add on's will look to the side and be on the backhoe arm.
Even regular window defogs on there!

I never thought cab tractors were worth the investment until mowing in Deep South Texas with a batwing mower and running over a nest of hornets. Can be a life saver.
Consider the LEDs won’t get hot enough to melt ice/snow in the winter.

Heat/lights...Didn't think about that one
Mowed a couple yellow jacket nesting spots. Almost got into a paper hornet's nest with the Kubota planet killing device. I was so tempted, but I'm sure there is a hornet sized hole in that loader's cab somewhere and they would find it. I let them go.

I will attest to not enough heat for the snow. I have that issue with the dmax. Had to keep stopping to clear the lights at night. I was thinking about just adding a second washer squirter for it, but doubt the tractor would have the same issue.

That's still a ways off, but will definitely need one.
Talking to the dealer today about an 84" tiller. He likes the Titan built in the Tennessee. Something like $2600 ish I think.
We were trying to decide how deep I need to go for Hemp. I was thinking turn the soil, then disc it, then till it to 4"-6", but I don't know for sure.
I did learn that Hemp is fast becoming KY's number one ag cash crop. Many of the farms who used to grow sod have converted a small section of the fields to Hemp and are killing it. Many farms that grew real food now grow a portion of Hemp. Seems like $10K-$20K per acre is achievable an a regular basis. About the only thing that hurts the weed (Literally a weed) are fires and deer. Hippies leave it alone because no THC. Too bad, would have enjoyed shooting a few with birdshot...Oh well, have to do something else for entertainment.;-))

The bucket is quick-tatch like the skid steer. I almost switched to a skid steer bucket today, but it weighs more, decreasing the capacity of the machine a tad. I really wanted a non tooth bucket for leveling and back dragging, so I'll just keep the tractor bucket that comes with it

Yes sir that machine should do just fine. You may need wheel weights along with the liquid but maybe not. You will know when you start using it. I looked these over pretty good last year at the farm show in Louisville. As for small tractors its a hard choice between this and Kubota.

Yea, not much demand for maybe 30-40 acres. the other 60 odd will remain wooded, just to steep.
Starting to talk with the guy south of me, adjoining. 78 acres there with more than half being flat. If I get that and get to hay off some adjacent farms, that is when this tractor can become fully employed

With that small of a place to work, you could be in the 33HP range with a good hydrostat and get it done.
Exception to that rule is operating a post hole digger. I recall seeing lots of good sized stones in the ground up there. So you'd need power down on the 3-point, and not many tractors give you that. Look at what JR has. Not as much a tractor as a backhoe machine with heavier frame and stronger hydraulics

Yup, the L45-47 are actually made for commercial use. Still a compact though and even 45hp struggles at times.
If you get the 3rd function up front, you can get power down and it opens up many things. I need to do that to mine. Then I can use the grapple and auger on it.

Don, I am sure a standard L3 model would for the most part be just fine. This one I am trying to find a L47TLB, like JR’s , is more construction type than home owner. It is a tractor loader backhoe unit with higher hydraulic flows than standard. So the loader and backhoe both have larger cylinders and heavier construction than a standard L model. Less chance of breaking something while digging out a stump or digging a trench. I have a few stumps and lots of ditch work to do, and lots of dirt and gravel to move around once the garage is finished. 72 inch loader bucket and 22 inch backhoe bucket with hyd thumb. Yes JR the extra line up front is included as an option.

If the BH is the 1100 series, I have a new 7543 quick attach that does not fit my buckets, BH yes.

Well the tractor has become part of the family today. More levers and warning signs than on anything I have ever been around. I was really hoping the garage was finished before we got it but I will find a place for it until its home is finished. Never claimed to be an equipment operator, and this thing proves it. JR is right, this little thing is a monster.

Bob, if you have front Hydro I would love to see how it is plumbed. I want to add that to mine. My understanding is the L39, 45 and 47 are basically the same.

Mine came with the extra line. Too darn hot right now but will check it out for you.
Sweet, I have found kits, called dealers and posted on the orange forum, but no help. Some YT vids too, but never where to tap/return on this series.
