Maybe you're putting them on upside down

Not surprised this came from you…..

After discussing with my machinist buddy he just thinks the tool was worn out and maybe the shaft they’re checking it on is worn.
Maybe send one of yours so they can get their crap straight. I mean, if you tried 3, it has to be on their end.

Thinking they just need to send me my money back and Tate needs to hurry up on the Yukon units already. I mean it is his fault that they’re not ready I’m sure! They’ve known we needed a good option since 2005……

Maybe I’ll just say screw it and run drive flanges!

Man that Tate guy, what a loo-hoo-zi-hur!
would love to help but left my engineering degree in my other pants
I'm with Ken on worn old axle and worn out tool .

I got banned from a watch forum while participating in a discussion of people being robbed in Baltimore for saying that in some places in the world you can still protect yourself and your property with deadly force and the only thing that will stop the surge in crime is if everytime someone robs someone on the street they get carted of to a cold slab with regularity.

Snowflakes.

I like fat tire and a few others. Red stripe is good now and them. But Bud Light is my typical go to because I can't get Yuengling here.

I have to admit whenever I would visit customers in FL I would fly home with a case of Yuengling.

Good for you all that are keeping up to you kiddos at my age.
Not that I’m ‘that’ old. Just mine is 27 and I’m 48.

You Midwest guys and your light beer kill me. reminds me of when I had to go to MN to teach the Zumbrota guys about our differential software and the best beer I could find was a nice Goose Island IPA. That is until after the 5th beer I was still stone cold sober and read the box and realized they still have blue laws and my normally 6-7% ABV was just slightly above that of non-alcoholic beer.

That being said, I will defend Nate's Michelada; they are delicious on a hot day and Charles should know better. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelada

Well I would expect a regear with the Cummins back to 411 to take advantage of the torque.

No, sorry

No more regearing.

4.10's with the stock 32" tires (or something like that) is very close to 37" tires and a 4.56.
32" tire/ 4.10 (Stock) 2261 @ 70mph
37" tire/4.56             2174 @ 70 mph

If money were not a factor, perhaps I would consider, but at the moment, I am looking at rescuing what amounts to a failed project, so planning around a minimum cash infusion, and betting I will get a lifetime of service out of a very efficient/powerful vehicle.
Lots of earlier generation (92-99) burbs have been swapped with remarkable results. Power, smoothness >20mpg figures and towing all in one package.

I concur. leave it alone with 37's.

Just to be the weird one in the group, I really don’t understand why you aren’t able to get better mileage out of it. I’m running the same engine(minus tuning, cam, supercharger and big tires). I regularly get between 12-14 mpg, and that is combination back roads and highway, with me sometimes making the kids happy when they say “go faster daddy”.  Not to mention this is a 3/4 ton van with 500k miles on it. Something just doesn’t sound right to me. Maybe your transfer case is stuck in 4wd, maybe you’re just pouring gas on the ground when you are driving it around, but to me it seems illogical.

Just my two cents from a Dave that served in the Air Force.  Let the gaming begin. ;)

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

before all the transfercase/torque converter issues popped up, he geared back up to 4.56 from 4.88 when he took out that monster custom military dana 80 thing. now that all the other drivetrain gremlins have been "sorted out" it probably needs the 4.88 back in there so he's not flooring it to get out of his own way. you're averaging 12-14, and he's getting 7+, not really that far off when you think about what it would be like if you added 2000lbs of gear and floored it every time you left a stop.

pay no attention to this man behind the curtain, however. gearing will NOT get you the power you desire Don. Proceed with the diesel swap. fire for effect.

Started spreading 3/4- crushed basalt rock against the garage apron and down towards the driveway. Need at least 3 more 3 yd. loads to get close to grade. Might lay a perf pipe next to driveway to carry water away. One foot deep trench four inch perf pipe covered to top of pipe with 7/8 drain rock  and 3/4 clean up to grade maybe a couple inches.

You won't regret doing it, but you might regret it if you don't.

I'm only half joking, I'm all for it. start looking for parts now, lol. can't tell you how many bro-dozers were out there without front drivelines this year.

I have the big components, other than wheels / tires but I saw the jl w/ no tires on it…..

yup that was a big thing too. they play it off like they're showing off the brakes and suspension but then you notice the brakes' manufacturers are not listed on the sponsors list...

Are we smarter as a people of the 21st century?

Here's a thought

In the 1960's the owners manual included with your new car included instructions about how to adjust your valves
Today your owner's manual instructs you not to drink the fluid in your car's battery...

Careful, that high speed moving metal fan blade might chop your fingers off if you decided to stick them in there... My 72 Jeep Wagoneer owners manual included service intervals for brake drum adjustment, point adjustment on the distributor, and instructions on tuning the radio to get the most out of my am/fm combo. My 2016 Malibu suggests bringing it to the dealership or qualified technician for lightbulb changes. You can't make this stuff up.

The funny thing, is I've never seen an actual service member demand respect of themselves; only when someone is disrespecting another service member have I seen them demand respect for THAT person, not themselves. Sounds like the whiny brat child of a service member step parent that doesn't like actual parenting/discipline and has a bad case of "you're not my real dad".

Come by and visit anytime 30 min to dusk. you'll fill your tag in 15 min from the back porch, then we can have a scotch and a cigar. They are congregated out on the edges of the water hazards on the golf course each night, 20-30 plus, does, yearlings, fork horns and a handful of stags in the peripherals. it reminds me of dropping into the Okanogan valley headed to Pearrygin lake at dusk; hundreds of white tail flanking HWY 20. so many we lost count. that's what it's like at the baseball field at the grade school.

So been struggling with pain the last few days. Thought it was back pain.  Woke up at midnight last night in some serious pain. Like I wanted to shoot my self in the face pain.

Spent  few hours in the ER this morning. I am the proud papa of a 4mm kidney stone. Now I’m home on pain meds to try and pass it.

God is good!

As some of you know, I've got chronic kidney stones and have passed 16 in a year once. THIS. STUFF. WORKS. https://www.amazon.com/Certified-Organic-Breaker-Phyllanthus-Packaged/dp/B089WHHSB5
Also, add crystal lite lemonade to your water. Potassium citrate softens the stone material and helps them break apart making them much easier to pass, and harder to form. Good luck TRN. I'd say it gets easier, ... but it doesn't.

Thanks TRN, hoped you'd chime in here. I couldn't afford the gamble on 15 people eating, so I erred on the side of too soft vs tough. in commercial situations, we'd hold in the sham at 125* for up to 15 hrs AFTER they were done, but i think i pulled from the smoker early, because the moisture was still on the surface when i wrapped it. didn't know you could re-fire to crisp up the bark, but next time I'd rather just keep it on smoker for the whole cook.

how long do you rest in paper, and do you rest after paper?

Finally got a brisket under my belt. Not my finest work, but no one complained. 12lbs to start came to 9lbs trimmed, salt/pepper, garlic and onion powder and some chili powder. offset smoker with briquettes and hickory and white oak chunks. 225* for 10 hrs when the stall broke, wrapped in double alum and finished in the oven at 300 until it hit 205, then dropped the heat to keep warm, (170ish, we do this with the prime ribs in the restaurants and hold for hours) and let it coast back down to 180 over the course of 2 hours, then rested on the counter for half an hour. I would have lost points on the bark, I wrapped too early i think and it steamed soft, but burnt ends were top notch, fat content was good, moisture was fantastic. if i didn't have an army to feed, i would have not sped things up in the oven, but 10/10 would do again.
