Ken, I didn’t understand that was an actual question. Assumed you were blowing me more liberal logic. Anyhow, no I don’t think the alum is an issue. Run it just brace the trans and t-case well and assume the connection is not a structural connection which they are not even oem setups.
Did t know you were qualified for such things.....
Oh I did JR. Was more worried about the dry rotted swampers disintegrating tho.
Yes, I'm replacing the Pontiac blue wiper motor..She has a horrible amount of vibration, even for a Cummins. Feels like the engine is sitting on the dash. It didn't do that when I was running it without the transmission so I'll have to figure it out...but man the brakes and clutch are pretty awesome. It's never felt that good. P/s is better also, even with the added weight.
I also drove this thing home yesterday, about 10 miles. It was very lackluster.. sounded great but acted like the turbo wasn't lighting off. I was quite disappointed, so today I hooked up a boost gauge and threw some cleaner in the fuel. My employee went along on a test drive since he has more experience with turbos, and on the 2nd hard acceleration something happened and it smoked the tires in 3rd, about 35mph. Don't know what caused it, and really don't care. Now I'm happy with it.

Now I'm happy with it.it probably pulled the 5.3 filter through the box and ate it either way.. good to hear. does the truck have a waste gate? maybe it was stuck slightly open and needed a good beating on to loosen up.
How much water does the system use?
Replaced the rear diff cover today. Had ordered some correct length, 5/16, black studs. My favorite vehicle of 30+ years and didn't realize I needed 3/8".So we went unconventional... exhaust studs and nuts sourced from my parts house. The rear mudflap hides it anyway.
Firestone. Don't know what number it was.
The cooling fan cools it. It has its own radiator in front of the condenser.Basically the same as what Nick put in Don's suburban for the SC.
lol, funny how that works huh?
Dang swampers won't last 20 years
