So let me ask you all a question.
Do you have a costco, sams club, restaurant depot membership.....or is there a (old name) cash and carry or some other restaurant supply house near by?
Do you buy individual cuts of meats or do you buy the whole piece that its cut from and do it yourself?
Please leave an answer.

Cash & carry, Costco, WinCo. I like to buy larger cuts and break them down myself, but that's me

We buy a 1/4 beef and half hog about on a yearly basis. Lately we have been buying in the late summer when one of the local butchers have a presale to determine how much they should buy from the county fair. We specify how thickand how we want what pieces packaged. Occasionally we buy a whole pork tenderloin for special occasions.

We usually buy the individual cuts when on sale rather than buy large and break down. Used to buy 1/2 beef or whole hog, but when it is not the best it is a lot to get through.

...Individual cuts

Costco for us and things on sale not much freezer space until we get a new one

We used to buy half beef back in Indiana. Reality is we eat less beef now and more chicken and fish so we buy individual cuts from Costco or local sprouts or king soopers

Last night I threw together a quick dinner. Took pork chops and coated them with olive oil and Lipton onion soup mix powder. They were really tasty.
This thread got me thinking about pork... ;-)

I generally buy some things in bulk. Some items are single servings or similar.

Have a big freezer?
I just nuked mine
Remember my installing that boiler piping?
Tripped the breaker for it and melted down everything inside...Nice smell...

Sorry to hear about your freezer woes. Did you just seal it up and cart it to the dump? Or did you need to unload everything to get it out of the house? That’s what kids are for.
Our freezer never stays closed long enough that it would go unnoticed.

I try and keep my parent's freezers full. 1 chest freezer, 1 stand up, and the small freezer that's part of the fridge in the garage.
