Isn't it crazy that something costs .50 to make cost $20 with fancy packaging?

I know what you mean though. Having swelling issues now and wearing a compression sock on the left. My circulation is terrible in my feet.

I wondered about the tracks being one piece and what would happen.

Guess it is paying for itself well and gets a thumbs up?

Thx guys. Yes, glad to be done and I guess the bed makes it official!!

Getting the mattress out was an adventure in itself. 6in memory foam in a 10in sleeve.

7355
Dave, I was going to post something earlier, but let it go.

Why do we drive these trucks? Why do I want 30+ round magazines? A flame thrower, you betcha!!!!

Looks really good Jr
One question though.  Why didn’t you use flooring to cover the bench?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thought about it, but the stained wood has a richer look and a nice sheen. Plus I still had to make a top for it and the flooring edge would had required a lip to blend it.

Thanks guys, hvac time and non to soon. Early spring and we are seeing mid 90s already.

The darn primer peeled right off the bullnose. No biggie as I had to trim and sand a little so it will need priming again.

Painters putty sure makes you look good, just don't look close!

Well, got the cover painted and mounted. Sanded the cover down with 320 and gave it a few coats of poly. The HF gun did the job great with no thining.

Repainted the ceiling with a roller trying to hide the imperfections. Not perfect but it will do.

Cleaned up the baseboards and putty'd them up. Just need a little trim paint now.

All that is left is the baseboard painting and the HVAC hookup. (wiring and lines)

This is about as close to being done as you can get, she moves up this weekend  :beercheers:

I like the 200k mark myself unless something comes up.

My 87 Elky did have a HUGE nest on top. I pulled off a wad once with all kinds of switches and delays and rerouted a hose or 2. It has run fine since then and passed smog every time.

Oh, the LBZ does have the dash light issue and 3 glow plugs have been replaced. I change oil at 5k now but use the best filters and a bypass I change every other.

We slung trusses today from 2:00 to 8:00pm.   I had to leave for a physics class at 5:30 so the team finished it up.

One of the ugliest set of trusses and roof lines I have ever seen.    It will look fantastic finished but getting it to that point is going to be a long week!!
Pictures tomorrow. Bed time for now

God help you Sean. The 2 biggest hurdles, when they walk and when they drive!

Grandma just gave her 2001 Camry to me for the oldest, who is 15.5 now. I dread the insurance but the car was the right price with only 159k on it.

7371
I don't think the day of manufacture has anything to do with it anymore. It is all cnc and robots except for some odd fitting now, like plastics.

My 87 el camino has probably 500k on it, doesn't burn a drop of oil but it is tired. Has gone through 2 trannys (200r4), but other than the window molding it is sound. It has a mild cam in it with an intake are all the mods. I did put a BGN rear in it thats help the go a little.

I think 200k is about right on the money for about anything made now. But I would do way more maint than is listed.

My LBZ has been sound, but a few hubs and upper ball joints I attribute to craking it up a little. Thermos and a little leak by the CP3 rail was about the worst for it otherwise. Now at 150k and it urns great, hope it does for another 150k.

60 for mount and balance is a steel.

Sounds like the 700r4 gm tranny. It loves to go 150k and no more.

Yep with no real fuel it works fast and has no smell like others. I would like to see a framer also and have watched for one. But then again I like screws to much.

With that I made the platform for the BOX today. Used a builders sheet from lowes and cut it to match the grain of the floor. Will stain it grey and seal with poly like the stair casing. My clamps were a little short so I mounted on wood with scraps on the ends screwed in. Used the newer gorilla clear glue and shims to snug em up.

See HD lists the nailer for $320. I paid well under 2 for mine, NIB.

Pesolodes are nice, but you have to buy fuel for em.

Thx Jared, I can see why though it is hard work even with the right tools. So I just saved around $1000 for my 12 steps! Plus the high end padding was free, the guy at lowes gave me big peice when I got the carpet.

Had a buddy who used to do my carpeting, showed my a lot.

Thank god for prop 13 hear. My property tax is around $3k and can only go up 1.5% py no matter the value!

On a side not though we pay 13% state income tax and is why so many are leaving the state. Add that to the recent gas/fuel tax increase and we getting hammered!

Now if it really went to what is was supposed to it would not be as bad. Hardly any makes it to the classroom or the roads but we have nice bike paths and great school admin buildings!

I know what you mean about doing it until you are happy, thats why my add on is past 6 months vs the 6 weeks I hoped. I glue and screw almost everything. 2 second story floors now one over 10 years old with a 22ft span. No squeaks or movement at all.

So yes, glue!!!!

I have plans for a false wall upstairs when I get a little more time. With 2 long storage areas the end of them is just right for that.

So how much was the tune from OPS and was it loaded on a new programmer or EFI?

This uses a nitrogen piston with a 15g brad nail. It nails as fast as you pull the trigger. I am using 1.5 and 2in nails, no problem at all.

Have only recharged the battery twice in 2 years.

Got all the baseboard painted and some of it on too. Used the HF $9.99 HVLP and it worked great. Over the years I have picked up several, they just work and I have spares!

Drilled the wall for the HVAC lines and did a test mount. Sits just right but the line come out in the middle of the wall outside! The ac line was right where it was supposed to be.

The Senco Fusion nailer proved its value again on the baseboards and the door trim. Never missed a beat and does a nice countersink to boot. Wish they would expand the line.

Not sure of the fuzzy pics?
