You'll need to add 2nd 100 amp battery and good heavy cables and dc to dc charger to keep the batteries charged, 400 watts of solar will help a lot but with DC ref, you're going to be using more power every day. We did Michigan to Arctic Ocean in 17 with a popup truck camper, Truck Campers are the only way to see Alaska! You can get to so many more places it's mostly State or Federal land so if you see a 2 track down to a river most of the time you can camp there, we found lots of dry camping in Canada and Alaska!
That trip you did put it on my bucket list of things to do.

As temps get back up in the 40’s I’m slowly erecting equipment in the shop. The jib boom on the skid loader is invaluable. Half the battle is finding where I boxed stuff up when moving out of Colorado shop. Of which it did sell a couple weeks back. Paid final electric bill on it yesterday. So my ties to hippyland are officially in the rearview.      One of my neighbors met a tragic end, here kitty kitty…. Looking good boss, I think (at some point & as if I need more on my plate) I’d like to design a system for my f250 so it levels the bed to the same height as the front 40 gal auxiliary tank and give me some storage along with keeping access in the summer when cap is off and doing gooseneck duty. So without the cap it’ll need to be water resistant too. This would allow me in winter months to still haul long objects like a skid of axles in the back area.

Well Chief, if you are really itching for a bear encounter they haul the Montana problem grizzlies up to the back side of a lake in the mountains about ten miles from my place as a crow flies. Called spar lake and plenty of beautiful campsites you can share with them. We’ve gone kayaking up there a couple times, doesn’t get any better than that…..

Hard cast bullets (recommend buffalo bore ammo)
Chest rig, f that cowboy chit. The reality is if you get attacked it’s most likely because you surprised it. Think last minute, it gets on top of you and you can’t pull pistol from your belt holster then you’re screwed. A bunch of extra ammo isn’t gunna help. Get the wife a Glock in 10mm and upgrade the recoil spring to a 22# maybe she can get off more than a round or two like that wheel gun. My 2 cents, bear spray and talk loud while hiking. A lot of people carry small music makers, especially those who run the trails. Most of the guides are running 10mm glocks for a reason too.

That one has a particular gas system. I would venture a guess that those shells would not run in that gun.
Tom Cole who built it gave me a list of the ammo that would run, that he test-fired in my gun.
It's a short list.

Speaking of siaga, I have a couple of those and not sure they would be my go to for a shotgun for self defense. Although, a drum mag full of slugs and an old stump sure is a lot of fun.

I just find the pump guns easier to manipulate (swapping or inserting loads during training) and I’m familiar enough with the 870 version to run them blind folded from years of hunting with them. A couple cheap upgrades and you can extend the round capacity and hold additional loads such as slugs on the side of them opposite the ejection port.

Possibly, as it is now 25 states are siding with Texas. Ten of those states and more are going to be forthcoming are sending NG units it has been stated. Trump stated on his x feed today that ten or more state militias were en route in some capacity.

My granddaughter just drove to South Carolina from Indiana with a car trailer in tow. Roads were bad but she made it. Her husband tied with a frozen sheet of snow and ice from the top of a big rig, and needed a trailer to get the car back home.

Ok, I have a very good friend from Colorado. His initials are JW, he’s been a marketing account vp for a lot of years. About a year and a half ago he was bought out from his role in a merger. Shortly there after his wife had breast cancer. He had her quit her job in the mortgage industry to concentrate on getting better. In addition he did not look for work, instead he took care of her and helped his son move cross country during all of that. He’s been shouldering alot recently.
Fast forward to this last summer and she is better after a double m and a couple follow up surgeries. At one time he was a Deacon in his Church, he’s kinda lost his way a bit spiritually. Him and I talk several times a week. He really needs to land a role and get back to work. In addition he needs to get back on the straight and narrow. We talk about faith a lot, he’s been beat up a bit and knows what he needs to do.
Anyhow, if you guys could add him to your prayers. Lift him up I’d appreciate it.

No to heims spend some money with summit machine w d get good rebuildable joints. Parallel 4 link? I as you should research that as I’m more familiar with triangulated. More vertical separation the better between the links. Half the length of oem leaf spring sounds short. Rest sounds reasonable, maybe 40/60 on up / down travel.

Yes, if he’s this deep the logical next better step is an sas Charles, find an online 4 link calculator. Wide Open Design or Branik for the links, mock it up with pvc pipe. You can figure it out, I’ve seen your handiwork.

My YW was like $120, hard to say no. I have a cutmaster 42 for general use and could swap.

I bought a Yeswelder pro55 that is supposed to be non HF start, should work with my Arcdroid, about to test.
Dang brand names are so crazy now!
I think that’s the one I got for my table also.
It cut 1/4” like butter.
Time will tell if it was 200 wasted bucks or good enough for me.
Shawn, this looks a lot like the ND’s garage unit I’m building.
It’s actually how I was thinking of modding it to have both ends of the x axis supported.
They clearly copied it to some degree…well there’s really only so many options to build it also.
