Went to the grocery store. I’m growing fond of these Barnes TTSX bullets.

Nice. I love those old trucks. I found a single rear wheel 4x4. I need to get my duramax sold so I can pick it up.

Nice, Ken

Poor bambi...Moment of silence...

I thought I was going down to the farm for the weekend

But

Ended up watching the grandkids all weekend long

I'm a SERE school, Level "C" graduate, I think I can handle it...

Prayers...

Good eye Shawn. Yeah. It has a fifth wheel back there now along with a 100 gallon diamond plate fuel tank...but that's not why I got it. It has a 12v and a 5 speed. Gonna swap it into my 73. Only bad part is that it's a 2wd trans so I might just adapt to my existing 4sp. Not going to be a highway truck anyways.

Oh, and got a couple spares just in case .

Yup, Poppy time

And it was fun

I took them to Waffle house for breakfast, McD's for coke or coffee, went to Menards one day and Home Depot the other. They actually helped me work on the camper both days and crashed both nights with me. Last night they started on the floor in some mink blankets, but ended up crowding me off my spot on MY, say again, MY bed!

Ahh. At that age they are much easier. When they hit the teens , your SERE training may not be enough. But these are grandkids so, yeah, maybe. You can always send them back home.

Some friends came over yesterday. The kids were riding around in the gocart. Looks like someone forgot to tighten a nut and put in the cotter pin. Lucky they were going slow just cruising around.

Negative, I gots rid of my eco turd. So did Norm, loved it when it was running right. Hated it when it had issues......

The final straw was when dealer had it for a month after 4 th time in and blew the front trans seal while in their care (power braking anyone?).

Got done picking corn at 2 am this morning. Took a nap and got to work getting ready for the snow storm. Got the farms generator hooked up. Got the generator at my brother's place all ready to go.
Got a hold of the hammerhead dealer. He got parts ordered.

Got my new toy running..the 86 Chevy Western Hauler (I was told it had a wrecker bed but it's just a gooseneck/5th wheel)) with a 12 valve. Bought it for a grand not knowing if the motor was good. Also didn't know that it was a P-pump setup. Runs really well. Drove around the lot to find 3rd gear synchros gone. (5 speed) oh well

Nice score Ken. Playing cricket in the shop after piddling most of the day. Built a valve tool for the wife since she said the water valves are too hard to turn by hand. Got to use the plasma cutter. Love that thing.

Also had an aerator going bad on the septic and had the septics guy out.

First of the family starts arriving today. Pork butt on at 04:00

Hope to have it done by 3:00 so I get at least a 3 hour rest. Starting at 240 with two smoke tubes. Will bring up to 275 after 3 hours.

Survived another black Friday shopping. We go later in the day. Don't get the smoking hot deals but no crowds either. No different than any regular Saturday. Made out pretty good at Duluth trading even thought they didn't have the jacket I wanted in my size. Bummer. Harbor Freight didn't have a very good sale. Pretty much walked in and right back out. Finished out my Ryobi tool set at Home Depot.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-18-Volt-ONE-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-6-Tool-Combo-Kit-with-2-Batteries-Charger-and-Bag-P1819/309659455

I already had the drill and saws all but it was cheaper to buy the whole set than just the 2 tools I wanted.

Adult kids are easier to shop for than little kids. Gift cards.

I am stuck on the wife. I never know what to get for her. Shes as bad as I am when asked what I want. I don't want anything don't waste money on me.

I like it too and a fair price to boot. Going to get toolbox/workbench for the Ridge at HD. Wasn't on sale so I will get it up there so less to haul.

Did get a vacuum and a dewalt folding table for up there. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-33-in-Folding-Portable-Workbench-DWST11556/301867227

I’ve seen posts of options wood and pvc mostly. This just looked simple and easy to use and at $20 bucks.

I’ll take a picture of what it does when I go back out

I think the ones I have liked the most are a 3D printed plastic tab that is molded to fit the bottom of the tool like a battery.  I’ll find a eBay link

Now that's cool. I got a few of the battery holders since we always have more batteries than tools.

Looking for the file to print some up myself since the 3D printer works great;
