Update:

I'm at work, (was yesterday too), but this time I don't need to be doped up. Thanks all and to Him, the intense pain has subsided for now. it has either broken up or at the very least dislodged to a place where there's not so much blockage. The inflammation can cause intestinal issues, (read between the lines here), so I hope that's what's going on now, but it could be infection from damage. Going to be keeping an eye on it for the next couple days, so fingers crossed gentlemen. Thank you again.

We shall find out. I've got an appointment with a specialist on the 27th, so please pray for me that we get answers. The last time I saw a specialist on the issue I was told, "man that sucks, good luck" because they had no diagnosis, or reason for the stone formation but historically people with my lab results continue to make stones forever... not good. I did pass some pieces on sunday which was both painful and relieving at the same time, but I can still feel the disturbance in the force, if you will. The last time I got a CT scan, I had 16 in the passenger side and 11 on the driver's side. I usually pass a dozen or so per year but they are usually pretty small and not so painful, but I'd like to get an actual diagnosis of condition and treatment plan. that is the goal, well, besides not peeing out little razor blades anymore.

really clean. pretty lean meat, lots of fruits and veg, low carb, low processed. I went on an alkaline, low oxalate diet for 3 months under Dr orders and at the end my labs came back within 0.001+- of the original numbers. it's just where my metabolism wants to be. they think it has to do with all the heavy asthma meds I took from 4-15yrs old. no one else in my family has any issues like this. also about 100oz of water a day plus other liquids so this just shouldn't be happening is what they tell me.

Tate, both myself and my next youngest brother have cronic stones, and his are worse. he's been to several specialists...it was "too much soda, blahblah".
The one item that has made the most difference was dairy. We both crave cheese, but since he's cut back on all dairy, the stones are less frequent and also not as large. I haven't changed a thing, and waiting for the next BIG one.

Thanks for asking Dave. I'm hanging in there. several "pieces" have passed since the onset of this whole thing, which is a good sign of kidney function but I'm still off and on pain meds and experiencing hives that indicate some kidney function issues so it's kinda contradicting. I do have my specialist appointment Monday, so hoping for a diagnosis and direction.

Hate to hear you're having issues, Tate. I've got a buddy who was so blocked up he couldn't pass anything (solids included due to the fact you can't apparently do one without the other) for almost 30 days. Docs just told him to continue to try to pass the stones (army docs), which made him want to violate the Commandment "thou shalt not kill". I've been lucky enough to only ever have to pass one, and I'm pretty sure that was due to all the mineral water we drank in Iraq my first tour (only water available). As soon as I stopped drinking that and raided the DFAC of appropriate amounts of Gatorade, I had no issues. I sincerely hope the docs are able to get you taken care of! Praying for good results!

Right now I'm getting all I need from all of you. Prayer is an amazing thing. 3 weeks ago I was counting the minutes between pain pills. now I'm just dealing with what feels like minor UTI, so I'm ok. I know what this group is capable of so I reserve my requests for help for real dire straits, not just sultans of swing.

Gentlemen,

I've got a real close friend who is in one of those life slumps and always feels things are going wrong for him. I have talked to him about our savior and His power to better our lives but at this point he is still lost.

Please pray for this man, Ant, that he may come to know God, and accept Jesus as his savior. His wife knows Jesus but he does not. As we are all aware Jesus is the way the truth and the light, and this is exactly the strength he needs right now.

Tater, here's why this groups (or any real Christian group) prayers are answered:

James 5:16

Folks, please pray with me again, my wife informed me of an individual in her company who has lost his baby daughter, and the mother recently committed suicide. Let's call this man T and please pray for him that he is given the support from surrounding coworkers he lives with, and for Him to come to know that God is his strength to get through this.

Thank you gentleman for trusting in God's provisions and knowing He answers our prayers.

Oh wow how awful. I could not imagine what hes going through. Sending prayers.

I have a good friend In the hospital. He lost one leg to diabetes last fall and is scheduled to have the other removed Friday. Infection spread from the bad one to whats left of the good one. He was admitted earlier today. Everyone including me got on to him about taking care of himself better before any of this happened.  But, he was too busy caring for his elderly mother to worry about himself. We sent her to the Lord late last summer. That was a big stress reliever for him but it was too late to save him self from multiple surgeries. He's one of the most stubborn yet kind harted men you would ever meet.
