So first post here and just happened upon your home away from home
But here to roast a certain Warrant Officer.  Prepare Chief heat rounds inbound
So when I found this place I was like Bunch of God fearing Patriots and also gearheads what could be better.
So first me…. Old crewchief that’s had alot happen in the last few years…But still standing guess God has a purpose….
Started explaining but just can’t I won’t sleep and will start screaming for the next two weeks if I do….
But while in the army and afterwards always hung out with the Tier 1 guys I guess adrenaline junkies flock together…
5th Group guys and guys on the dark side of the airfield….but it’s entertaining knowing those types but always there when you need them.
Worst day of my life happened and it was those guys that were there to help. My daughters gymnastics coach and my chiropractor were both horse soldiers and when they heard just showed up
One actual moved away in the 90’s and sent me a message that I didn’t see for a month but it was just a few days after the accident and we’ve been talking and texting since…. Guess God told him… we lost my future son in law and would trade places in a heartbeat

Had already gave him my moms rings and told them they’ll be the 8th generation to own the family farm …. We got it for our activities in the last revolution…

So my log in name yes bought an old zr1 back a few years ago…. Always wanted one and helped my pilot buddy build his z07 base model back in the day…. But his was pimp red with red guts and we always asked when his zuit suit was being delivered.   When I saw this car I knew it was meant to be white red guts and the old school Borla’s like we hung under his but there was no way I’d ever get a base model I no how violent people get when you break off a tap in a head just chasing threads and I had to get a older than 93 because that was the first year of the key fob and no way I’d do that because if I’m on base and lay my keys on the targa and walk off someone could take it and leave it running in the middle of an active runway …. But I’ve not seen or heard from him since like 2000 and only seen and talked to his son who I ran around with a few times but it happens… work life kids etc
But I’ll tell you those regimental types on the dark side of the airfield can pull some stunts this one guy would cruise into work about 11:20 challenge a young pilots knowledge and instantly be eating lunch for free actually a good idea and I’ve done it as well lesson learned so was instrumental in my growth but somethings I didn’t think I would ever do but fall of 14 I became as old as my late brother and hit me hard so I dug a ditch and built my daughter a 60 ft trampoline inground but not as bad as my buddy he came back from a deployment bought a John Deere and started digging a huge crater in the front yard it wouldn’t hold water so he dug 3 or 4 in the back yard….guy even buried his son’s small block Ford engine under the driveway …. Guess gravel was expensive…. But the entertainment was fun for a lot of years…. The absolute best was the day he filled up his son’s Cbr 600’s muffler with uncle bens rice….every time I see an old cbr I almost wreck seeing rice blow out at a 40 degree angle….

Also Sgt Nelson says hi he’s the 5th group guy that contacted me that week …oh and he has a pimp red zr1, I’m a bad influence, and his old man finally gave him the 55 Chevy they started on in 83.  Saw Norfleet a few years ago he was going for his silver bar in the police department and has a new baby yeah at 48 and Redmond is still running the tree service and is booked out about around 6 months out for the last 10 years…. Do not tell your boy with the fabulous eyes you were contacted Chad and I are in contact with his wife and have a surprise in store for him and Talley….soon

   My late son in laws dad is retired from the 60 company and still running as a civilian up there and his brother is in AIT at ft Eustis heading to green platoon in March and we’ll I want one ….

Yes I had the beans and the cheese many times …. Even the thanksgiving squirrel stew when you and little don would go on the expedition in the dark forests of Landon rd… Was the first called when our Arctic boy Mac decided Mac wasn’t going hungry because you had a mission and ate the neighbors pot bellied pig… I helped you build the GN you remember the champ heads roller cam conversion car and you used my tig welder to build the intake we cut in half …. You even gave me an Arctic dog …. Was there laying the tile and me and Jody helped do the liner in your swimming pool in the kitchen… Feb 22nd sucks every year for a lot of us

Now I never borrowed a engine hoist or I’d still have it cause part of the stickers on it and the back garage door was mine…I didn’t need to borrow it I pulled motors in your garage….but I still have the 9/16 socket you made me replace when I took the mig welder to it because you pimped me out to work on that retards 4.6 car and while I was setting up his rear gear he was questioning my abilities…And then there’s the POW Mia tshirt young Don stole from you and left at my house when he moved to the pacific northwest yeah still have it and still wear it on occasion no holes just faded…. Curtis, any advice coming from this now former member or any other "Daves" is to be disregarded!

All: Curtis is like another son of mine. Showed up at the door one day and just sort of moved in. Young buck sergeant, Apache Crewchief in the 101st Airborne at the time. I liked him but tried not to tell him because he eats a lot and borrows a lot of tools. He has a way of getting one involved in all sorts of things you were not prepared to get involved with. He comes with another one, I suspect he will be showing up here too. The second one is a green beret who will make all sorts of wild claims about me doing this and that. He, too, is not to be believed. In fact, don't believe Curtis either, if he is talking about something I allegedly did back then. If it sounds dumb like me dumping a thousand gallons of water on a fishing boat in Lake Cumberland, that couldn't have happened because it would not have been legal in like 40 different ways.
He may talk about me drag racing this or that, which is also not possibly true as I always drove (and flew) conservatively and obeyed speed limits. I never shot anything or blew up anything that wasn't supposed to get shot of blowed up. Never flew very low over peoples houses at 3AM and never, ever gave civilians helicopter rides. Never took any ammo home or gun parts or helicopter parts. Never pulled stuck 4WD trucks and jeeps out of the mud with a Chinook, never drag raced on an active runway, never went speeding on a military installation over 150 MPH...Never. I never carried an old dodge home from Arizona in the back of a chinook, nor did I make plans to move a mobile home with one...That's pure unadulterated fabrication. I never shot anyone's home 20-30 times, and my dogs may have snacked on the neighbors pigs, but I'm not tellin.
These Green Beret guys are going to blame me for some of their pretty big problems, like influencing them to buy cars, drag race, break rules or other things like that. As an Armee officer, I always held the line and acted IAW regulation. I may be called a cowboy because of flying, but that is gross misinterpretation from a bunch of unprofessional gossipers. Those same persons very much deserved getting dunked into a sewer pond.
So now that the truth is out there, we will all take whatever these new comers say with a grain of salt. After all that crowd drinks a lot and it obviously affects their judgment!

So I’ll have self control on here because some things I just want say….now at a bbq I’ll drop the hammer… I will tell one and should have put it above just funny looking back….
So the cobra snake he had and I’m sure you guys have heard about the car that could tilt the earths axis 14 degrees upon launch and how deep the paint was and the 1/4 inch 8 inch gold cadmium plated bolt young Donald got him for Christmas he used as a turn signal stalk…It was all that and a bag of chips…. Well it was all of us wanted it…Actually thought about finding that car and buying it more than once….. paint you could step in to and the brass windscreen mounts shook violently at speed under hard acceleration …. Then the sound oh the sound it sounded like spitting hate above 4K but small blocks above 400 cubic inches do that ….


 So he called one morning to come over need help we’re changing header gaskets…. We’ll I’m on the floor reaching up around the side pipes and he’s up top and we’re making progress …. Then I start screaming he doesn’t move but he keeps wrenching I guess like he flys but he did ask what’s wrong…. I’m like YOUR STANDING ON MY (Adjective heavy ) HAIR… before moving he says well you need a hair cut anyways and starts laughing…. I roll up from under that road scrapper and there lays a few hundred strands and he starts laughing like he’s at a show in Vegas….
