I don't have the phone cables here, in the car and it's cold out side

I put a black cable harness epoxy ( similar to what your metal prongs are surrounded with on all power cords) and I heat shrink the phone side with a shrink sleeve that has a sticky heat activated glue inside for a support of the cable and to keep water out also

I have the same problem with charger cables in my house. All of my long ones seem to disappear with my kids.

I have used SUGRU for a long time and it works great. You open the foil pack and expose to air and you can form it for whatever you want. I have used it also to fix my case and handle on my battery charger and other items.

Cheap too.. right up my alley.  :beercheers:

The only down side is once you open the foil pack you have to use all. You can't save after it hit the air. It also doesn't store forever also.

That looks like a handy pack to keep for many uses, what is it like to remove if needed ?

On the GMC Terrain/Chevrolet Equinox burning oil discussion a few pages ago. It is limited to the 4cyl engine. We have a 2011 and there was a service bulletin or recall on it. They ended up putting in new rings and pistons and that fixed our problem. The biggest headache was taking it to the dealer every 1,000 miles for the oil consumption test.

Honestly I haven't removed any. I would assume you can cut it off. It hardens to a flexible putty that is not sticky. But it does stick to what it attached to prior to set up.

Well it wasn't today but last shift I ran  my first gunshot victim. Guy took a 9mm just below of his left collar bone. Based on diminished breath sounds we're thinking the bullet clipped the bottom side of the bone and deflected into/through his left lung. He was fully conscious but tachycardic and diaphoretic so major bleeding control, speedy transport, and two large bore IVs were all we done. Luckily we had an awesome medic crew that worked fast and efficiently. Being EMTs our main job is bleeding control while they do their thing. The most interesting part to me though was the conversation during the assessment. It went something like this:
Medic: what happened man?
Patient: He shot me.
Medic: Why did he shoot you?
Patient: because I cut him.
Medic: well, that'll usually do it.
Maybe it's my twisted sense of humor but I thought it was hilarious to actually treat a guy that brought a knife to a gunfight. What a goober.

I have to try some of that putty. Being flexible is nice.

Gunshots, seen a few. The only thing I could never handle was kids getting hurt.

Where do you search for the bulletin?
Car or Truck-Truck
Rural or City-Rural
Early morning or late night-Early Morning

I found out from the dealership. It was still under an extended powertrain warranty for another problem relating to camshaft actuators so I took it to them to ask about the oil consumption. Ours was using almost 2 quarts every 1,000 miles.

Put the Duramax and the wifes Suburban up for sale. Selling out so I can cash flow the remodel... got an excursion lined up for her to drive and tow my trailer, don't worry its a bulletproofed 6.0. I get a vehicle to drive from work so having 2 vehicles @ home can sometimes feel like excess. Once these are gone and the excursion takes up residence I will probably do a bit of mods to it so watch for it!

Got the new tool chest filled, sold the old. Sold an auger and truck jump seat.

Working on the stairs and going to Monterey this Sat for an overnight.

Cleaning garage continues, selling stuff helps.

$60k++ worth of vehicles, I can pay cash for an incredible kitchen/floors and excursion. also gives me an excuse for a new Denali d-max in a few years. my wife wants to sell the suburban only and she will drive the truck. which I am on board with, but I told her that if it sells before the burb then the excursion is happening.

That is a very nice truck. I wish i could find one like it local to me.

I got off work at 0800 and spent the rest of the day waiting for a deer to happen by while gazing upon a small piece of God's beautiful scenery.

Cut down a dead tree
Winched huge dead branch out of walnut tree
Cut up said trees and stacked them
Cleaned scrap wood out of woodshop
Stacked all that on the dead tree parts pile
Set fire to all that
Raked the lillies which were withered
Burned all that stuff too
Screwed big trim board back onto deck/porch
Touch up painted living room, stairwell, and hallway
Painted the kitchen the wrong color
Repainted the kitchen
Cleaned up some

well spring broke on one of the garage doors last night.  Ran all over houston to find a set of replacement springs this morning.  Pain in the butt to un-tension one and then reinstall and tension both.  Then had to adjust the opener.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Well, we're sitting in Miami...
Been a long day to get here.
06 flight first off.
5 hours delays for second leg...
Hope to maintain sanity on boat for next seven...

May be a little scarce as well.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Took four of the kids out to our property for a few hours. We have 55 acres in northern kentucky. They spent the time running in the woods and playin in the creek. There was ice on the creek so they were pitching rocks out on it trying to break through. I walked the property looking for potential building sites. All in all a good day. Also washed the bottom of te Blazer in the creek.

Burned my Christmas tree after in celebration. His kids loved it.

My wife and her aunts own share ownership of the orignal family farm in Owsley county Ky. I don't exactly know the amount of acres but its a good piece. We cant go there unfortunately. There is a boundry line dispute. Threats were made and shots fired. My father in law (now deceased) is the only one that could get away with being there. All records were lost many years ago when the court house burned down. Nobody has money for a survey. Nobody wants to sell it. So we just drive past it when we go down there and look at it. I would love to have a place in there but the wife says "I ain't livin down in that holler" LOL A man can dream right?

well spring broke on one of the garage doors last night.  Ran all over houston to find a set of replacement springs this morning.  Pain in the butt to un-tension one and then reinstall and tension both.  Then had to adjust the opener.

Wake you up when it went? I thought a tree fell on the house. agreed on the tensioners. no fun.

Yeah it was a bang for sure.  Just glad both broke when the door was closed and not while open.  Those wooden doors are heavy and could hurt someone or leave a bad dent
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

I met my wife this morning to wish her a safe trip before she went out of town for work then went for some grocery shopping therapy after a roughy night on shift. One of our regulars tried to hang themselves after ingesting a boat load of sleeping pills. When I got back to the house I realized both front wheel bearing on the Polaris are shot. Friday is the last day of hunting season so I'll have to see about fixing that next week.
Pic of my grocery store. Well, the meat department anyway.
