Salsa.
« on: June 27, 2020, 08:41:13 PM »
Well made some homemade salsa from my tomatoes. Basic recipe. 10 tomatoes 4 onions 8 jalapeños 2 habaneros 8 cloves garlic. Quarter the onions and place everything in a pot covered in water. Boil 15-20 minutes and then drain. Food processor with salt to taste a couple tablespoons of white vinegar couple teaspoons black pepper. About a cup of fresh cilantro into the food processor.  Serve warm

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

We bake our tomatoes then run them through this weird crank thing that separates seeds and tomato pulp. Similar to the way we make tomato sauce and paste.

The pot above looks good though! And I’m curious to hear how the smoking does for flavor injection into the salsa!

Tomato mill, must look at this.
That is the part I hate about salsa.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.
