Pretty sad, first thing I saw in that picture was the main character from the Disney film Wall-E. Guess that’s what happens when you have children.

So I did manage to get a teenage buck.
He’ll be good eatin. Likely the hardest deer I’ve ever got. Four days.
My boy got to shoot last night. Missed on an awkward shot. He was notably miffed, but when I missed the second one this morning he felt better.

This guy snorted at the other one as it turned out. Then walked up where I shot him. The second one then walked up while I frantically reloaded. I missed him in the exact same spot of the first. I got nothin other than I missed.

It appears I’m losing hair...time to buzz the rest off. Doesn’t show as bad then. Lol.

Crap happens Sam. Congrats.

2 days of glassing and haven't seen a muley yet, a little south of you. Probably still nocturnal because it's still warm, and all the ponds are dry, plus a full moon.

New toy sure covers some territory compared to the ol Ranger, and 10 times smoother. That's one purchase I don't regret.

Funny you ask. We've hiked up several hills and ridgelines today glassed huge areas,  and on the way back to camp we made a small hike down to a wash along the road to look for tracks and he just stood there. Unbelievable
...oh 25 yards and dropped 40 feet away

Speaking of coyotes. Found they are legal to shoot in NV, no lic or residence requirements. They seem to be all over too.

People say CP4 is an issue, but if you keep the fuel well filtered, aka lift pump I don’t think you’ll have an issue.

It’s the same as my 2013, they didnt change until 2015 to the newer motor.  Plenty out there with high mileage and running fine.

Funny. Mine was also about 25 yards.
He only went about four steps however.

I had a 2012 for a few years.  Only got rid of it because it was a ext cab and didn't work well with the car seats for the kids.  I had deleted it and ran a mild tune most of the time.  Didn't have any issues.  Pulled and handled loads a lot better then my 2003 did.

Between new roofs going up, reroofing the house, pad opened up for the garage, and heavy rains, I haven’t chased as much water since I retired. My house and neighbors house both sitting in the way of rain water getting to the bay. Trying to do work arounds since the gutters are not in play and the water from the cut and trees being removed from center of driveway, is going wherever it wants.

Dave been running my '12 on a 150, then 200 horse tune since 600 miles old and haven't had any issues, but like Charles said, there's plenty of war stories on the cp4. I've only got about 85k but she's been whipped hard, mostly empty tho. Also been running Optilube since day one.
I really like this truck btw and plan to keep it quite a while.

So pending a fuel filter upgrade should be fine arguable.

I’ve never been particularly found of the looks of that body style.  It didn’t grow on me much either.  The hard plastic dash with the heavy texture.   Meh

Thank you all for input

Took today off. Bought a bunch of steel to make a material rack.

Tired of all the loose material laying around.  This will have an R panel roof over it when I’m done.

Yeah.  Awhile ago I found a broken breather hose,  finally got the overpriced part from the dealership and finally replaced it.

By the amount of gunk under and around the clamp, intake/throttle body, and inside.  I’m really glad it still has compression

So darn greasy for a freeway car

Been a pretty decent rig all things considered

The clamp on the bottom of that hose makes me sick thinking about how many miles it’s been like that.  Sucking air from every which way, the dirt I cleaned out was black n thick

That stinks Jon.

Dave, change or clean the pcv valve (new ones are almost 20 bucks) that's pressed into the rear valve cover, by the master cylinder. Not really a valve. Just a shell with 2 tiny holes that plug up. Been fixing leaks on those motors quite a bit the last couple years. It also causes excessive oil in the intake bellows you replaced.
GM also came out with a different rear valve cover gasket to prevent oil from splashing on to the valve as well, to fix oil consumption on some models.

I’m considering Parlor, guy I went to high school with is on there and has a conservative podcast I listen to during the week.

50 hot dogs, one big ol pot of chili and my wife’s baked goods. About an inch left in bottom of pot of chili and 4 hotdogs we threw out. Twenty to thirty people showed, one common theme was that people wanted to get back to doing stuff like this. I think the mental health benefit was very positive. We social distanced around the fire pit and had a great time. Looking forward to more of these in the future. Met a few new people / potential customers too.  :likebutton:

The wagoneer is pretty well stripped now, worked on it for a few hours today. Several guys grabbing parts tomorrow. It will be going to a local yard come Tuesday. I ended up with a lot of good free parts for my m715 ish build.
