Title: Coronavirus watch
Post by: Flyin6 on March 11, 2020, 05:57:13 PM
I have been watching the development of this thing from almost the earliest days

I have calculated the death rate for a couple of weeks and noted that the ratio of dead to infected is more or less constant.

That number hovers in and around the 3.7% range.

Why is that useful to know? Well if the ratio remains constant, then that probably means the virus has not mutated, and mutate it will.

I will just go out on a limb here and say that this thing is synthetic. Its release was very likely accidental. Whuwan, ground zero for this virus is also the home of China's germ warfare lab, same as our Ft. Detrick in Maryland. The Chinese have refused the US, and the CDC people from coming in and testing. I believe the reason is that they don't want the world to find out that China is responsible for what will become a substantial die off of humans worldwide.

I'll update the statistics here day by day

So let's start tracking the statistics

Date           Confirmed Cases    Recovered    Dead      Fatalities        increase

03102020        120,454                66,933         4,375      3.63%
03112020        125,672                67,051         4,607      3.66%            +5,218    +4.15%
03122020        134,098                68,898         4,965      3.70%            +8,426    +6.28%
03132020        145,496                71,195         5,417      3.72%           +11,398   +7.83%

Faucci said it has mutated at least once. And today they came out and said death rate was 1% but that’s still 10 times the flu

What are we supposed to believe.
Both China and South Korea say they're on a downhill slope.
I would tend to believe SK...
Then leaders like Merkel say they might see as much as a 70% infected rate in Germany... that's 55 million people.

And what's up with buying all the toilet paper?
Maybe people are confusing the virus with what happens after drinking too much of the Mexican beverage?

This is misleading ^^^^^^

It’s 10x the flu for immunocompromised/ elderly, that is the part they keep forgetting to add in.

Death rate is clearly 3.6-3.7%

The math speaks for itself

And it has mutated twice I am told by my sister. It seems that both strains have the approximate characteristics

I can tell you who isn't going to lose sleep over it. This guy.

Yeah, the story I'm getting is that there are probably quite a lot of people who have been exposed, never displayed symptoms, and never new they had it. Since they do not have the data to truly determine the number of people who have contracted the virus, the death rate numbers cannot be truly accurate. I think there is a great amount of over-reaction due to the media.

Considering that a lot of people most likely confused the symptoms with regular flu and lived through it without problems, I’m guessing the numbers are off, and who’s going to make a big deal about it if they aren’t feeling deathly ill. Oh yeah, the media will.

No one remembers H1N1?  Of course not. The media fawned over Obama’s handling. 60,000,000 infected. 300,000 hospitalized.

But I got some new gear today just in case

Take a look at the numbers in the table on the first post

The amount of cases is increasing, but not in a linear fashion, but a steepening curve. That's saying the rate of the spread of the infection is picking up speed. You've all done this before, 2+2=4, 4+4=8, 8+8=16, 16+16=32 and so forth. You begin to get to some really big numbers pretty fast.

They are still feeding false numbers no matter how you look at it, when I talked to my dr yesterday he said their office can’t even get a test kit to preform it to verify who does and doesn’t have it.

New says two cases in Ogden area.   Extremely hard to believe those two folks didn’t see anyone for the whole time of infection to spread it.

Mann I cringe every time I see a graph in the shape of a hockey stick.
Pun intended.

I don't think we have seen the worst of it yet.

So I’m watching the news and all the shutdowns. Makes me wonder if the virus isn’t more serious than they are letting on. I can’t imagine this reaction to a flu epidemic. H1N1 was more deadly(supposedly) and killed 18000 in the US and infected 60,000,000 and we didn’t shut auto factories for a month.

I think this is in large part a response to the overwhelming media "the world is ending and it's all Trump's fault" doom and gloom. But that's just my opinion.

I believe it is worse from a Contagion aspect from H1N1 due to the number of days you can be infected and a carrier/transmission vector. You hear variable timelines but the shortest I have heard is 14 days. So people in contact that have no idea they are infected pass it along. Quarantine and isolation are the only thing that stops that and that seems to be what they are focused on.

Plus the fact that they are shortage of tests and they want to slow the roll into emergency care. In MN they have 1700 frozen samples waiting to test. If those 1700 do follow a self quarantine protocol they are just infecting many others.

The other viruses burned out much quicker.

Hit the nail on the head there. Incubation period and lack of severity of symptoms in the young and mobile make a perfect scenario to spread it around. it's like it was designed to take out baby boomers, elderly, conservative, republican... hmmmmmm.

Possible engineered emergency blown up by the disinformation media to crash Trumps reelection possibility.
They can now say that under Trump the market collapsed, many Americans dead, and on and on...
Speculation here...
