I never run recommended. Air it down until you have full tread contact (mostly) I only air up when I need the load. Now this is just me, has worked OK for 50 years.

I run 50/45 in the dmax normal. I used to run 26 in my 77 GMC.

Can't wait for the fluid change!

Kinda what I did when I got my Dmax. 6.0 gas didn't cut it, got a killer trade in. I got what I wanted, but still shelled out 12K.

I'll take black over red, but grey is the ticket!

Added amber "excuse me" warning lights in the back. I get tired of tailgaters and high beam lights. Work great the couple times I have used em. I have no issue moving over, but not if I get screwed and your impatiant. High beams are a tick for me, people are stupid.

Few more changes coming soon, been neglecting it some.

These are a start; https://www.prioritytire.com/prinx-hicountry-r-t-hr1-lt-285-70r17-121-118q-e-10-ply-rt-rugged-terrain-tire

10lbs lighter, just a little shorter and 1 inch narrower. I have some slight rubbing issues and it rides like a tank.

Just 16lbs, thats a meal!

Dang wish it would warm up some. 20s at night are just a little much for me in the container.

Is a nice 50 or so during the day so I get some done. Kubota still giving me issues. Pretty sure its the battery and will change the clow plugs to. It runs, then get rough and dies, so maybe injectors? All are easy to fix and crazy priced.

Got a good foot of snow last week, pretty much melted now. Also had a visitor passing through, nice sized critter.

Amazon tends to be pricier, had good luck with ebay being cheaper. Used the same seller several times now. I just made an "iffy" buy, but PP gives refunds pretty easy.

Mill will be a dedicated circut, but the panel is not close. Right now it has an on/off/reverse switch (240ac) and the power feeds are fed from a power strip on the back (120ac)

I want a master power emergency push on the machine that turns everything off.

6 inch Bridgeport, solid and selling for what I bought the mill for often.

Thinking on the wiring I want a system kill switch. Right now there is just an on/reverse switch. That means the power feeds would still run if I turn the machine off, no bueno!

Sold all my porter cable tools today. I have been moving to Dewalt for some time, you can really find deals on open box stuff on Ebay.

12v I have gone to Milwalkee for the compact stuff. I still have some old 12v Craftsman Nextec and a couple Ryobi 18v that are oddball tools, but I have dewalt adapters I can use..

Not much new on this for now. Floor is taking most of my time.

I have acquired a few parts, mostly missing nuts and knobs. I did find this cool little bed tray on Ebay. Then the pair was offered for 30% less so I grabbed it.

Done a little cleaning and watching lots of YTU videos.

Had that happen before. I was fine, but a kid who was with me parents called search/rescue. I asked what was up when I came down of Saddleback mountian in Scal (great off roading), err 45 years ago!

Would see guys jump off in hang gliders from there, now thats crazy!

This newer stuff is nice. There a learning curve too. As I said before, soapy water is a blessing.

Bet your room is bigger than my dining room!

Front area I tore out, about 90% of the panels were still good and have used up all but a few strips now. Most of them will be used on the far wall.

I also moved a vent from the middle of the floor over to the wall.

What are you building? / Re: Moving the wall around and new floors
« on: February 24, 2024, 03:46:08 PM »
Looks like never had a thread for the floors, so I'll add it in here. It all goes together anyway. Carpet is a disaster as only meant to be temp, that was 15 years ago. Add a couple pets, kids and cheap carpet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I had started in the front just before Christmas hoping to have the living room done, didn't work out. Then after laying a few courses, I decided to start over in the rear left corner of the house (dining room). Supposed to work left to right, front of the house meant I was having to go backwards through the hallway and kids.

So after the repairs to the vent system in the process I have now finished the dining room.

Not sure why I never posted the wall being 95% finished. Doing the floors now and about the wrap around the corner of it.

Don't skimp on the bottoms, do holes along the sides. If you leave items in containers your could leave that way or just a door skin to close it up. In fact 3/8 and a thin skin might be stronger?

Want to see what you do for the top since you need load bearing there. Just ply or a laminate setup?
