I like this thing

4 cyl Duramax diesel
3.5" wider track which is all in widening suspension
Some sort of star wars shocks
Bigger tires
2" + lift
Cool hood
and
Wait for it

lockers in the rear and front!!!!!!

So I see this thing as a decent transportation vehicle that will turn and fit in traffic and parking spaces and get 30 MPG while able to haul a Christmas tree (After a proper tow tune of course!)

Geert Wilders is a Dutch Member of Parliament In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: "Who lost Europe?"

Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the Netherlands, at the Four Seasons, New York, introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem.

The Lights are Going Out All Over Europe

Dear Friends,

Thank you very much for inviting me. I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic.

We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West.

The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe. Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem. The Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe. These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam, Marseilles and Malmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammad is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin. The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels, because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhardt Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate.  Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority.

We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey.

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators settler's. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Gandhi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammad himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is Sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz. Second because it is a democracy. And third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West. It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values.

On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything.

So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islam as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing.

The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem.

Dear friends, Liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe, American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

Going to Church in Chicago

When I heard Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were guest preachers at a nearby church, I decided to go there and check them out in person.

As soon as I sat down, Reverend Sharpton came over to me. I don't know why, maybe it was because I was the only white person in the church. He laid his hands on my hand and said: "By the will of Jesus the Lord Almighty, and the will of God, you will walk today."

I told him I was not paralyzed.

Then Jesse Jackson came by and said: "By the Grace of God, and his Son Jesus, the Lord Almighty, you will walk today."

Again, I said that there is nothing wrong with me.  After the sermon I stepped outside and lo and behold --- My frickin' car was gone !

Amen

Humor, Good Stuff, and Red Neck Practices! / So Touching!
« on: December 15, 2016, 09:27:28 PM »
A husband and wife were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas.

The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and, as they had a lot to do, she called him on his cell phone.

The wife said, "Where are you? You know we have a lot to do."

He said, "You remember the jeweler's we went into about ten years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time, and I said that one day I would get it for you."

Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up. "Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied.

"Well I'm in the gun shop next door to that."

Alternative Energy / Passive Solar Collector

OK, get to make the first post on the first thread in a brandly new (DOT Free) Board

Man I must be livin' right!

OK. so Wilbur sent me a link to passive and active solar collectors over in the Hide Site section. I looked that stuff up, and I was HA'd (Hillbilly Amazed)

Brain free stuff right there that keeps things thawed out and is low cost and builds easy. I have been wanting some easy in my life as of late.

So Here is a simple diagram for a passive solar collector panel which I'll build out of my favorite pink board, and use it to keep up upcoming above ground water storage "Box" free of the frozen little nasties that make me anxious and cost me money replacing lines, fittings, valves and things like that

Special Forces Mistress

"Men, Special Forces is a mistress. Your wives will envy her, because she will have your hearts. Your wives will be jealous of her because of her power to pull you away.

This mistress will show you things never before seen and you will experience things that you have never before felt. She will love you, but only a little, seduce you to want more, to give more, and to die for her.

She will take away from the ones you love, and you will hate her for it, but leave her you never will, but if you must, you will miss her, for she is a part of you that will never be returned intact.

And in the end she will leave you for a younger man."

Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / Our real enemy
« on: December 12, 2016, 09:28:40 AM »
It is becoming so apparent and obvious.

That our real enemy. The true enemy of freedom, democracy, decency, and Christianity is the liberal left within this very nation. This just keeps coming up, and the depth of their hate for good as manifested in their focusing their hate on Trump is palpable!

Mikey Moore getting stupid yet again:

MICHAEL MOORE: SOMETHING “CRAZY” COULD HAPPEN TO STOP TRUMP BECOMING PRESIDENT
Is film maker predicting an attempt on Trump's life?
Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars.com - DECEMBER 9, 2016 944 Comments

Film maker Michael Moore, who correctly predicted that Trump would win Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania, is now predicting that something “crazy” could happen to stop Trump from being sworn in as president on January 20.

Appearing on Late Night With Seth Myers, Moore continually emphasized the point that Hillary won the popular vote, using that reasoning to argue that Trump’s presidency was illegitimate.

“He’s not president of the United States yet, he’s not president ‘til noon on January 20th of 2017,” said Moore as the liberal audience applauded.

“That’s more than six weeks away. Would you not agree, regardless what side of the political fence you’re on, this has been the craziest election year. Nothing anyone predicted has happened — the opposite has happened. So is it possible, just possible, that in these next six weeks, something else might happen — something crazy, something we’re not expecting?” added Moore.

Moore alluded to the potential for members of the electoral college to change their vote, but this is such a long shot it has virtually no chance of overturning the election result.

The only other avenue would be massive vote fraud being uncovered by Jill Stein’s recount, but this hasn’t happened and her efforts have basically flat lined at this point.

So what else could Moore be alluding to apart from some form of violent action to physically prevent Trump from taking the White House?
For the entire election cycle, the mainstream media has legitimized violence against Trump by hysterically pushing the idea that he represents a fundamental danger to the country and the world.

Violence at Trump rallies – proven to be bankrolled by the DNC – was also completely mischaracterized by the media and blamed on Trump.
An environment has been created that encourages crazed left-wing agitators to try and make themselves into martyrs by attempting to take Trump’s life before he can become president.

One assassination attempt was prevented when a British man tried to grab an officer’s gun at a Trump rally in Las Vegas and shoot the president-elect, a story that media hardly reported on.

If and when the next assassination attempt happens, and we can only hope it doesn’t, huge swathes of the far-left are so full of hatred and intolerance that they will celebrate Trump’s death like it’s the equivalent of Mussolini being executed.

Firearms / Gun Control...The truth

STATS and FACTS, not Propaganda, about Gun Control that Libs and PETAs refuse to Acknowledge....It's Government Control

Man's mind is his basic tool of survival.  Life is given to him, survival is not. ... To remain alive he must act, and before he can act he must know the nature and purpose of his actions. ... To remain alive he must think."
Interesting Facts About Gun Control

There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed.  U.S. Population 324,059,091 as of Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

Do the math:  0.000000925% of the population die from gun related actions each year.  Statistically speaking, this is insignificant!

What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those 30,000 deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death:

*    65%  of those deaths are by suicide which would never be prevented by gun laws
*    15%  are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified
*    17%  are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons - gun violence
*    3%  are accidental discharge deaths

So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100.  Still too many?  Well, first, how are those deaths spanned across the nation?
*    480 homicides (9.4%)  were in Chicago
*    344 homicides (6.7%)  were in Baltimore
*    333 homicides (6.5%)  were in Detroit
*    119 homicides (2.3%)  were in Washington D.C.  (a 54% increase over prior years)

So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities.  All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause.

This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation  -  or about 75 deaths per state.  That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others.
For example, California had 1,169  -  and Alabama had 1.

Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far?  California, of course, but understand, so it is not guns causing this.  It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states.  So if all cities and states are not created equally, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths.

Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific?  How about in comparison to other deaths?  All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime.  Robbery, death, rape, assault  -  all are done by criminals and thinking that criminals will obey laws is ludicrous.  That's why they are criminals.

But what about other deaths each year?
*  40,000+ die from a drug overdose - THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT!
*  36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths
*  34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities (exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide)

Now it gets good:
*  200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors.    You are safer in Chicago than when you are in a hospital!

*  710,000 people die per year from heart disease.  It's time to stop the double cheeseburgers! So what is the point?  If Obama and the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.).  A 10% reduction in medical errors would be 66% of the total gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides  ......  Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions!

So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns?  It's pretty simple.  Taking away guns gives control to governments.

The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies.  It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace.

Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution.  It must be preserved at all costs.

So the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, look at these facts and remember these words from Noah Webster:  "Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe.  The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.    A military force at the command of Congress can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power."

Remember, when it comes to "gun control", the important word is "control", not "gun".

Surprisingly, these are not the statistics you hear about from the media or from the White House...........ever wonder why??

It's a legitimate question.

Calling for demonstrations in Washington and the beginning of a movement to "preserve the gains of this administration, and to push ahead.

Clearly he is an agent for the devil. Caring not for the rights of regular normal Americans and the sanctity of the family, and striving to keep alive the racial divide President Obama rekindled.

With things like this and the recounts now being jockeyed about by federal judges, these people are playing with fire. We aren't far from an explosion as we sit today. One has to wonder if this is some cheap shot strategy to get us into marshal law which keeps the present president intact.

And that, my friends will light off the powder keg

Rogue electors brief Clinton camp on anti-Trump plan
Kasich emerges as the group's alternative Electoral College pick.
By KYLE CHENEY and GABRIEL DEBENEDETTI 12/05/16 12:05 PM EST

Advocates of the long-shot bid to turn the Electoral College against Donald Trump have been in contact with close allies of Hillary Clinton, according to multiple sources familiar with the discussions, but the Clinton camp — and Clinton herself — have declined to weigh in on the merits of the plan.

Clinton’s team and the Democratic National Committee have steadfastly refused to endorse the efforts spearheaded by a group of electors in Colorado and Washington state. But, as with the ongoing recounts initiated by Green Party nominee Jill Stein, the Clinton team has not categorically rejected them, leaving the collection of mainly Democratic electors to push forward with no explicit public support from the failed Democratic nominee or any other prominent party leaders.

In a sign of the sensitivity of the issue, former Clinton campaign officials declined repeated requests to comment on the Electoral College effort. DNC officials also have not responded to requests for comment.

The Clinton camp’s silence follows its cautious approach to another long-shot effort to deny Trump the presidency: the last-minute recount efforts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan launched by Stein. Stein’s aggressive push has annoyed Clinton aides but has also not drawn their outward condemnation — Clinton’s top campaign lawyer, Marc Elias, said in carefully chosen language Nov. 26 that the campaign will “participate” in the recounts, without expanding on its plans to get involved.

“Regardless of the potential to change the outcome in any of the states, we feel it is important, on principle, to ensure our campaign is legally represented in any court proceedings and represented on the ground in order to monitor the recount process itself,” wrote Elias.

The electors leading the anti-Trump push say they’re operating without regard to the Clinton campaign’s views and without its assistance. To some leaders of the anti-Trump effort, the lack of formal Democratic Party engagement is an asset as they attempt to woo Republicans.

“We’re really doing this on our own,” said Polly Baca, a Democratic elector from Colorado and organizer of “Hamilton Electors,” the group encouraging Republican defections from Trump. “This is something we have to do as electors. This is our responsibility.”

But Clinton will not be able to avoid getting drawn into the Electoral College machinations. That’s because her husband — former President Bill Clinton — is a Democratic elector from New York. Aides to the former president have declined repeated requests for comment on whether he intends to fulfill the role or pass it to an alternate when New York’s Electoral College members convene in Albany on Dec. 19. Baca has indicated that she intends to reach out to all electors — including Clinton — for support.

Another leader of the Hamilton Electors group, Colorado elector Micheal Baca (no relation to Polly), said the group’s outreach efforts are wide-ranging.

“Given what’s at stake, we have been outreaching to everyone we can including electors, various members of both parties, and the media,” he said. “One of the most inspiring things about this entire process is how we have encountered such patriotism from both sides of the aisle and much willingness to unite for America.”

Backers of Hamilton Electors are also preparing a wave of lawsuits challenging 29 state laws that purport to bind electors to the results of the statewide popular vote. These laws have never been enforced or tested, and many constitutional scholars believe they conflict with the Founders’ vision of the Electoral College as a deliberative body. Courtroom victories, they hope, will embolden other electors to join their cause.

All 538 members of the Electoral College will meet on Dec. 19 in their respective state capitals to cast the formal vote for president. Trump won the popular vote in states that constitute 306 electors — easily above the 270-vote threshold he needs to become president if all Republican electors support him. That’s why anti-Trump electors are working to persuade at least 37 Republican electors to ditch Trump, the minimum they’d need to prevent his election, and join them in support of a compromise candidate, which could send the final decision to the House of Representatives. Clinton won the popular vote in states that include a total of 232 electors. As of Monday, she led in the popular vote nationwide by more than 2.6 million votes.

At least eight Democratic electors are promising to defect from Clinton and support a Republican alternative to Trump.

While Trump’s lawyers have been working to stymie the recounts, his campaign has paid little attention to the Electoral College initiative. The same is true of the Clinton camp. Clinton would need all three recounts to overturn the Election Day results to get to 270 electoral votes — an extremely unlikely scenario.

Recounts aside, there’s little incentive for the Clinton camp to become involved with the anti-Trump effort because it can result only in detracting from her electoral vote total. The only reason to engage at all would be to support an effort to deny Trump an Electoral College majority.

The Democratic electors have already revealed that they’re close to a consensus pick for whom they will vote: Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Kasich is increasingly seen as the most acceptable Republican alternative to electors on both sides of the aisle, according to multiple electors familiar with the conversations. They note that Kasich defeated Trump in Ohio's primary, that the governor boasts a high approval rating in his state and that Kasich was reportedly under consideration to be Trump's vice president before he selected Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

“Many Electors are saying that Gov. John Kasich would be best for our country. A consensus is beginning to form that Gov. Kasich would be best positioned to unite America,” Micheal Baca said in a statement to Politico on Sunday. Other electors involved in the effort confirmed this line of thinking.

It’s unclear whether Kasich would accept support from these electors, and a top political adviser downplayed the strategy.

“There’s no question Trump won enough votes in the states to receive over 270 votes when the members of the Electoral College meet,” said Kasich’s top political adviser, John Weaver, when asked about the prospect that some electors might vote for Kasich. “I’m sure the [Electoral College] will affirm this when it gathers later this month.”

Even if no Republicans join the recalcitrant Democrats, eight defections from Clinton would represent more “faithless electors” — members who don’t vote for their party’s designated presidential candidate — than at any time in American history. Leaders of the effort claim at least one firm commitment from a Republican elector, though none has spoken out publicly.

Faith Discussion / I just want to Pray...
« on: December 04, 2016, 10:24:58 PM »
Father God, my heart is all twisted up over learning about yet another couple families who have almost nothing. Father I know you love them, and you placed the love that Jesus has for them and others in my heart too. I thank you for that, because it grounds me. It shows me just how blessed I am. It gives me a chance to turn my faith and love for you into works. I refuse to pray for a man's hunger when all I need to do is to feed him.

But why the children? The least of us...It somehow just doesn't seem fair. But I have seen this thing all over the world in the many places which you have sent me. Father I thank you so much for heaven, because life on earth for so-so many is not very easy or good. I know you love all your people, and I know there is a reason for everything that goes on. But I just can't reconcile me having a warm bed and a full stomach while an innocent child does not.

I guess, Father all I can do is to feel what you have placed in me and act on that. Father, place this feeling in the hearts of millions. Make all your people sensitive to those who have little. Make your faith come alive with millions of acts of kindness and concern for our fellow man. Let us not be self absorbed or cavalier, but let our hearts burn with desire to do something for these people. Father please don't let us off the hook until we demonstrate that we are the hands and feet, and mouthpieces for Jesus himself.

And Father, please, never take this feeling away from me or other believers. Please don't allow us to take a single bite without thinking and wondering about those who are hungry. Don't let us pull a warm blanket over our body without feeling something for someone somewhere who is cold tonight. Don't allow us to have nice, comfortable, suburban lives without doing something to feed the need of the least of yours.

And there are two little girls Father God. You know who they are. Bless them and keep them from harm and out of Satan's snare which hovers close by. Do not allow any evil to touch them, in the name of Jesus, I humbly ask this...Amen

Donations / Our Christmas support 2016
« on: December 04, 2016, 10:08:59 PM »
I'm making a decision here. I'm choosing who Real Man will support for Christmas this year.

This has been a bit of a struggle for me because the individuals which God has clearly placed in my/our way are just regular Americans. Not refugees, not homeless, not sick, but other than the "Nots" I listed, they don't have very much at all.

The reason I decided, or rather why I struggled with doing something for them, is that it places my wife in a difficult position. She is the manager of the community where these people live. If we openly supported them, then it would create a situation where the property manager openly favored some of the residents, and that crosses lines.

But know what? When I tell you about these people, you'll know why I'm doing this and why they are the right picks. Sadie, a 10 year old 5th grader, and Bella, an eleven year old 6th grader dont have moms. Well with the exception of my wife who spends every moment she can with them, these girls have no adult female being a positive influence on them. THey both live with their dads in small apartments. Neither of these girls ever get much or anything for Christmas, not even a good meal. They have virtually no family support, and they are just barely scraping by.

Last week my wife told me that since the two girls hang around in her office from the time they get home from school, until my Frau leaves, my wife started paying them to do simple chores. Last week, she gave each of the girls $5 to deliver notices to the various apartments. The next day, Kat asked them what they did with the money. Each girl gave it to their dads, who immediately spent it on some food.

Now I don't know about you, but that just tears me up. I have two of everything and a big old house with food spoiling in the frig. Those kids don't always eat! Kat has to visit the apartments on a more or less routine basis to check condition and for needed repairs. Once she stayed and helped one of the girls make up her room more nicely. She couldn't find any sheets. Speaking to her father later, she asked where the sheets were. He told my wife that he didn't have any, but that he was going to get some just as soon as he could.

No sheets...

Speaking to the girls about Christmas, they were dismissive. It turns out that they do not get anything, any presents for Christmas. Bella said "Dad gets me something when he gets his income tax check...

No Christmas gifts...

Well to heck with that. I am going to pick the whole thing up, help or not. I WILL NOT let this happen right under my nose. Faith without works is dead...And my spirit is very much alive over these little girls.

I mean, this just tears me up...I feel wrong sitting in this big house knowing they have nothing...

I'm not asking for anything, God can provide the money. I just wanted to share this story which I'll bet is going on in every city. I can't get em' all, but I can get these four folks covered, and Real Man will cover them this year.

I plan to buy them bedding, coats, some clothes, some toiletries, and some Kroger gift cards. I think I'll finish it off with a gift card to a bowling alley, or movie theater, and a gift certificate for a decent restaurant where they can eat Christmas dinner...Or maybe I'll have them over our house for Christmas if I can figure out how to do that without my wife having charges filed against her or getting her fired

Message from the Owner / A True Thanksgiving!
« on: November 24, 2016, 09:32:44 AM »
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!

How long has it been since we can honestly say we have had so much to be thankful for. And might I add, be hopeful for? It seems as though we are emerging from a dark time and the guys on the white horses are arriving in number. Something seems to have changed for the better, and indeed it has!

Know what I see most of all? I see a real God who heard the voices of his people, and answered our prayers. Many of us felt hopelessness and were preparing for an unknown future. But that seems to have abated somewhat and finally the feeling is that the Referees are actually going to call the fouls. We can take a collective breath and start to rest a bit in the fact that good and righteousness just won the round. He did not get knocked out and all of us set to run for cover.

God met us! He really did! He saw millions of us repent of our personal sin and he heard us ask for repentance for our nation. You know, there have been dark times in the past for this country. December 1941 comes to mind, so this was not the first time the good people of this great country felt like we were down by three points in the forth quarter with forty yards to go and only five seconds left on the clock. We were literally just there. Nothing but free falling over a cliff leading to a bottomless abyss was staring us all right in the face.

But God intervened! He really, truly heard our cry. He felt our desperation and he showed up in a big way. Ladies and Gentlemen, This is Thanksgiving day! There likely has never been a time, nor will one come again in your lifetime when you have so much to be thankful for!
Thank you Father God! Happy Thanksgiving to all...

I discovered this cool gun this morning and bought one at 1300!

How cool is this! A factory cut down 10-22 ruger rifle with a 10 inch barrel, M4 pistol grip, threaded barrel, and a picatinny rail...And in a take down version

I called Chuck the owner of a local gun store and he was able to get one from the factory for $319

Giving it to one of the Pre-Rangers for Christmas

Faith Discussion / Divine intervention! W O W

I didn't know this...Apparently prayer that was happening all over the world for the Presidential election was answered by our God. Now, I knew it, not saying that, but the way he answered it, being faithful to his people's cry! You may not know it, but the entire world was praying for the United States. A prayer, coming out of Jerusalem and the Daystar world wide broadcast was being watched by, apparently 400,000,000 people!

What are you building? / Composite basement wall panel
« on: November 20, 2016, 02:35:26 PM »
OK, I've been thinking again

No, no fires, smoke, or injuries just yet...

So everyone following the hide site thread knows that I excavated a "Keyhole" for a future underground utility/mechanical space.

The more I ask for someone to put in a concrete pad or block wall, the more I feel uneasy about actually getting anyone to do it.

First, no one answers their phone. Secondly, everyone working concrete has been to or is currently in jail. Finally everyone who bids the job thinks that they need to pad their retirement savings on this job alone.

Case in point: The last guy I asked to simply pour a 16' X 12' pad said he would do it for $550. No, that did not include any concrete, or any steel, or any forms, no, none of that! I was asked to provide all that. All he was going to do was to show up for the pour and I guess get me screeded, and smoothed! ...$550 for that! I asked him which brand campaign he wanted me to serve as well. He didn't get it!

OK, I can easily pour that pad, and I guess I'll have to since no one (who isn't incarcerated) wants to work. But onto the block wall, or poured wall, or whatever wall. I don't really like block walls. The farm house 100 feet away has a failing block basement wall, so that's reason enough not to build one. I don't really know how to lay up a block wall, and my experience in getting things square and level is, well, a bit lacking.

Block wall guys, are, well, let's just say they seem to be the concrete guy's first cousins.

So I am back to doing something myself...Which got me thinking

The neighbors house across the street from my WTB (way too big) primary residence has basement walls which were panels. Seems they were 2 X 6 with some panel on the exterior, a foam core, and perhaps some concrete mixed in just cause they could...

Then I got to messin' with this Formular rigid board stuff...And that got me to thinkin' a bit more.

What if, the Warrant Officer thinks...What if I invent a wall panel myself?

What if I framed up a 2 X 6 panels with a pressure treated 2 X 8 base plate? What if I covered that with the Formular followed by a sheet of 1/2" OSB to which I attached some chicken wire or lat, then troweled on a thin layer of cement mortar...? What if I did that? Wouldn't that be pretty sturdy? Wouldn't that serve as a ready made panel that I could throw up like a lego set, fastening each to the other? Then chase that with a good waterproof material rolled onto the outside, then provide for some really good base drainage.

Seems if I did all that, I just might have a ready made basement wall to which I could attach a roof and call it all good...seems to me...
