Classifieds / Built mostly rust free Cherokee for sale
« on: July 14, 2016, 09:01:11 PM »
I was over at the Jeep store today getting the fluids changed in the GJ when this thing pulled up

The owner is a fireman, a captain, who has run out of space and is selling this truck. I gave it a lookover and from what I could see, it is a solid truck.

It has lots of "Rusty's" parts and the workmanship is up to snuff. He is a part of a local jeep club and purchased all the right parts to build the truck correctly. He hasn't owned it very long and due to a move and a recent home sale needs to move it out of his inventory

He said he was asking $6500.

I'm no Jeeper, but it seems like it might be worth it

"Day of Rage Protests Across America"

On 15 July 2016, multiple protests are scheduled to be conducted across the United States. Being anywhere near these protests greatly increases the chance that you, your family or clients could become a victim of violence.

Use this as a list of places to AVOID on Friday the 15th.

While the media does specify nonviolence and denounces the actions taken against police officers that were not involved in these deaths, with the tagline "Day of Rage" it is safe to expect emotions to be running very high on both sides of the line.

No matter how great your empathy might be for those who have unjustly lost their lives, these protests are not safe places to be.

The propensity for violence at these protest is extremely high! Persons required to be near these areas are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and avoid large gatherings.

Faith Discussion / Jesus Wept
« on: July 13, 2016, 10:16:21 AM »
From my morning reading:

Jesus Wept: 2 Simple Words with Incredible Depth
by Jon Bloom
The shortest verse in the Bible is John 11:35: “Jesus wept.” But for all its grammatical simplicity, it’s packed with unfathomable complexity.

Jesus wept after speaking with Lazarus’ grieving sisters, Martha and Mary, and seeing all the mourners. That seems natural enough. Most of us would have wept too.

Except that Jesus had come to Bethany to raise Lazarus from the dead. He knew that in a few short minutes all this weeping would turn to astonished joy, and then tearful laughter, and then worship. He had come to Bethany to bring these mourners the best news they could have imagined.

So one would think that Jesus would be a confident, joyful calm in that storm of sorrow. But he was “greatly troubled” (John 11:33) and he wept. Why?

One reason is simply the deep compassion that Jesus felt for those who were suffering. It is true that by not speaking healing from a distance like he did for the centurion’s servant (Matthew 8:13) or by his delay in coming (John 11:6) he had let Lazarus die. He had really good and merciful and glorious reasons for doing that. But this did not mean Jesus took the suffering it caused lightly. “For he does not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men” (Lamentations 3:33). Even though Jesus always chooses what will ultimately bring his Father the most glory (John 11:4)—and sometimes, as in Lazarus’ case, it requires affliction and grief—he does not take delight in the affliction and grief itself. No, Jesus is sympathetic (Hebrews 4:15). And as “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15), in Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus we get a glimpse of how the Father feels over the affliction and grief his children experience.

What are you building? / Jo-Jo's Chair
« on: July 07, 2016, 09:39:05 PM »
My Grand Daughter fell and broke the femeur while running down a hill. The resulting half body cast has left her immobile and a handful for her mom.

I got th thinking about it and decided to build her a custom high-chair that isn't so high!

I built it in such a way as to be adjustable and very stable. The legs splay out in a 15 degree angle so as to maintain a wide footprint, while having the top tucked inside the chair some to clear the leg with that cast.

I used pine and poplar for the wooden dowel legs

What are you building? / Cabin for the hide discussion
« on: July 06, 2016, 09:30:00 AM »
Knowing that I have a large host of really smart folks here, you too Shawn, I thought we'd discuss what the cabin plan might be for my hide.

So here's the parameters:

1. I think that I'll be moving there permanently within a couple years, so it needs to function like a normal family home

2. I think it should be a single level like a farm house, or Cape Cod, or rustic cabin, but with pitched up roofs, vaulted spaces to build in as rooms and have a dormer or two.

3. I want some windows up high so I can quickly scan the surrounding property

4. I want a basement. Part of it will be secret, accessed by a hidden door.

5. I want a safe room and perhaps an exit tunnel

6. I want a real stone/concrete fireplace perhaps centrally located so the mass of the thing will radiate heat all over.

7. It will have a variety of power and heat sources. Ultimately it needs to be self sufficient with its own water and own power, completely off grid.

8. I want a master bedroom and two additional bathrooms on the main floor, and another bedroom in the basement.

9. It will likely be a walk out basement due to the slope of the hilltop it will sit on

10. I want a wrap around porch

11. On the wrap around porch I want a portion screened in for three season outdoor living

12. It can be stick built or pole barn style, be wood/brick/stone/vinyl, shakes/whatever exterior.

13. I want to use a lot of the native wood in its construction

14. It does not have to meet any building codes, as there are no inspections required in that part of the Tucky.

15. It should have 2.5 bathrooms

16. A cistern and rain collection system will supply some of the water, the well 1/4 mile away will supply the rest.

17. It will have an attached garage, say 2-3 car (For her)

18. It will have an open kitchen with recycled/rebuilt old gas appliances.

19. It needs to comfortably house at least two families in a crisis, as I expect people will be coming.

20. Basement will be poured concrete, 8"-10" 3500-5000psi walls for ballistic protection.

21. Have a vault

22. I'd like a cupola or observation deck up high with a pole to attach an additional wind mill to.

23. Cabinets and doors will all be reclaimed/recycled, or home made

24. Cost is to be held very low

25. I will be the contractor and sub all the work out that I can't do

26. I have the shed already, but will build a concrete 48 X 64 barn for working on things in.

27. Heat from Fireplace, Wood stove, Wood boiler, Electric heat pump.

28. Hot water will be solar heated, and we will have an instant hot water propane heater as well.

29. The use of lots of wood, glass and rock

30. Maximum fireproofing through use of sprays, fire retardant materials and similar technology.

31. Square footage of main floor of 2000 sq/ft. ish. Square footage does not include the basement

32. Electricity from A. The Grid, B. Generator, C. My own power room of batteries fed from solar cells and wind mills

That's what I am thinking around at the moment.

Discussion is welcome on any or all of my thoughts. Let's pull this apart, turn it inside out, come up with some ideas, and if it all works out, I'll build it down there, and you boneheads can come and drink quoffee with me there!

« on: June 28, 2016, 10:54:22 PM »
I think I need a new rotary cutter

Right now I am thinking about the Bush-Hog brand

It is the original rotary cutter, and from what I can see, it is about the stoutest unit made

I think I'll stay with the 6 foot model. Bush hog makes a 10 series which is a light duty unit. That would be a no-go for me based on my history with the stuff.

There is a BH320 which is a heavy duty unit that cuts up to 4" trees. It is very costly and at the moment I am very cost conscious.

In the middle is the BH20 series, or the BH26 for the 6 footer. Has a 130HP gearbox and really heavy steel. I think it weighs over 1000 lbs! Has a good warranty and for me is $3100 out the door.

Anyone have any knowledge of the product, or a better cutter? My J Deere was junk and costs a lot more than the Bush-Hog brand

Faith Discussion / Are you a true believer? Or a Hypocrite?
« on: June 28, 2016, 10:10:37 AM »
I came across this in my morning reading. Its a bit worrisome

Allow it to search you and reveal the truth

This will challenge you...

How to Distinguish a True Christian from a Hypocrite

by Tom Hicks

How can you tell whether you’re a genuine believer or a false professor? One of the best books describing the true nature of conversion is The Christian’s Great Interest by William Guthrie. The great Puritan theologian John Owen highly commended it and wrote, “The author [of The Christian’s Great Interest] I take to have been one of the greatest divines that ever wrote; it is my Vade-mecum [that is, “handbook”], and I carry it and the Sedan New Testament, still about with me. I have written several folios, but there is more divinity in it than in them all.”

Consider what William Guthrie says in chapter 5 of his book about the differences between the true Christian and the hypocrite. Here are some ways in which the hypocrite may be like the Christian.

1. A hypocrite may be influenced by the gospel in every part of himself. He may come to great knowledge of God’s truth (Heb 6:4). His emotions about Christ may be high (Matt 13:20). He may even experience drastic changes in the outward man, like the Pharisee who prayed, “God, I thank You that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, etc.” (Lk 18:11–12).

2. A hypocrite may look to others like he’s a true believer. He might talk of the law and the gospel (Ps 50:16), openly confess his sin to his own shame (1 Sam 26:21), and humble himself in sackcloth (1 Kgs 21:27). He may even carefully consider what duties he needs to perform and seek after them (Is 58:2), persevere even in hard times, give his possessions away to God and the saints, or even give his body away to be burned (1 Cor 13:3).

3. A hypocrite may advance far in God’s ordinary graces. He may come under great convictions of sin, just as Judas did (Matt 27:3–5). He may tremble at the word of God, just as Felix did (Acts 24:25), rejoice in receiving the truth (Matt 13:20), and have many experiences of tasting the good graces of God (Heb 6:4).

4. A hypocrite may have some characteristics very similar to the saving graces of the Holy Spirit. He may have a kind of faith, like Simon Magus who “believed also” (Acts 8:13) but then proved to be a false believer. He may have a kind of legal and outward repentance that looks very much like true repentance (Mal 3:14). He may have a great and powerful fear of God, like Balaam did (Num 22:18). He may experience a kind of hope (Job 8:13). The hypocrite may even have some love, as Herod had of John (Mk 6:26).

5. A hypocrite can even have great and powerful experiences of God. He may have “tasted of the heavenly gift” and become “partakers of the Holy Spirit” and experienced the “powers of the age to come” and yet not be genuinely converted.

So, what are the marks of a true believer? How is genuine conversion to be distinguished from false conversion? Guthrie provides five marks of a true believer that are not possessed by the hypocrite.

1. A true believer’s heart is changed forever. In Jeremiah 32:39 the Lord says, “I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever.” Hypocrites never have a changed nature. Hypocrites want Christ for the good that He might do them in the world. But a true believer’s heart loves Christ as the all-satisfying treasure of this life and the next.

2. A true believer’s changed life comes from a heart of love to Christ. Hypocrites can clean up their outward behavior to be seen by men, to ease their troubled consciences, or to keep themselves from the consequences of their sins. But true believers love Christ and keep His commandments for His sake, to serve Him, to know Him, and to bring glory to His name (Ps 119:6).

3. A true believer seeks Christ and His kingdom above all else. This is the one thing necessary: Christ’s friendship and fellowship. But that is never the “one thing” and heart-satisfying choice of the hypocrites. True believers, on the other hand, desire that this “better part would never be taken from them” (Lk 10:42).

4. A true believer submits to the righteousness of God. He abandons all hope in himself and his own righteousness, and rests wholly in the righteousness of Christ for his acceptance before God. A true believer rests in Christ and Him only as his Savior. Hypocrites don’t do this (Rom 10:3). They depend, in some degree, upon their own righteousness.

5. A true believer has the three great essentials of genuine Christianity. First, he is broken in heart and emptied of his own righteousness so as to loath himself (Lk 19:10). Second, he takes up Christ Jesus as the only treasure and jewel that can enrich and satisfy (Matt 13:44). Third, he sincerely closes with Christ’s whole yoke without exception, judging all His “will just and good, holy and spiritual” (Rom 7:12). A hypocrite does none of these things.

D.O.T. / "A Cup of Joe" the Quoffee thread!
« on: June 28, 2016, 09:50:30 AM »
Let's start the day off right!
Post a pic or a story of a great cup of Joe, or "Quoffee" as my friends in New York like to say.

And for me, every morning as I raise my cup, I'll say a little prayer for the men and women on this site

Today's:

Father it is a great day, thank you for it! Thank you for my friends who I have met on this web site. Bless them in some special way today. Encourage them, stand beside them in their struggles, strengthen them as they strive to be strong men of God. Show them how to lead, as it is said in the Rangers, to be a tab bearer, not a tab wearer. Give them wisdom and make them of clear mind. Let them be lovers of the truth and hate what is evil. And, Father, give them, each one, something to do for the kingdom, and in the name of Jesus, I say thank you and amen.

Prayer for Freedom from Habitual Sins
(from The Utter Relief of Holiness)

Renouncing the Sin

Freedom comes only as we bring these unsanctified and unholy places under the rule of Jesus
Christ, so that he can possess these very places deeply and truly. Therefore, part of this first step
involves sanctifying to Christ the place of bondage. If it’s sexual, you sanctify your sexuality to
Christ; if it's emotional (as with rage, or fear, or even grief), you sanctify your emotions; if it
involves addiction, you sanctify your appetite, your obsession, and your body. At the retreats we
do, we walk through this process in prayer, and many people are shocked to realize that they
have never taken the first, simple step of sanctifying their sexuality (or emotions, or appetites) to
Jesus Christ. But if you want to be free in this place, it must come under the total, intimate,
ongoing rule of God.

Lord Jesus, forgive me. I confess I have been offering myself over to sin, and now I am its slave. I
renounce it; I renounce my sins. [Be very specific here. For example, “I renounce the ways I
have presented my sexuality to sin; I renounce my sexual sins. I present my sexuality to Jesus
Christ. I sanctify my sexuality to Jesus Christ. I present the members of my body and my
sexuality as instruments of righteousness. I renounce the ways I have presented my appetite and
my drinking to sin; I renounce my sins with alcohol. I present my appetite and my drinking to
Jesus Christ. I sanctify my body to Jesus Christ.”] I renounce every way I have given myself over
to sin. I dedicate and I consecrate my life [and this specific area] once more to the rule of Jesus
Christ, to be his and his alone. May your atoning blood cover my sins and cleanse me. May your
holiness possess me totally and completely.

You will also find it helpful to renounce the “sins of your fathers.” Often in these places of
lasting bondage you will find that a father (or mother, or brother, or grandparent) struggled with
the same issue. The scriptures present to us the reality that sin is often passed down within a
family line, and the effects of those sins are also passed down generation to generation (see
Exodus 20:5, 34:7, Leviticus 26:39-42, Nehemiah 9:2).

Lord Jesus, I also renounce the sins of my fathers here [or my mother, my grandmother, what
have you]. I renounce their sins of [be specific, as in, “their rage, their sexual sins, their
alcoholism.”] I utterly renounce and break with the sins of my family line. I plead the blood of
Christ over those sins, so that they may not have a hold on me. I renounce them and break with
them utterly.

Breaking the Stronghold

We begin to break the enemy’s hold on us through the presence of “agreements.” By this I mean
places in our own hearts that have made a deep agreement with a feeling, a thought, a sentence.
If you have struggled with something for years now, there are probably agreements along the
lines of: “I’ll never get free of this," "I am such an $%#@," "Who cares anyway?" "It’s too late,”
and a host of others. Those are agreements, and they serve as a kind of permission for the enemy
to keep you in bondage. So you must break them. In addition to these, there are the agreements
with the sin itself: “I am filled with rage," "I am a drunk," "I am gay.” They can even “feel”
biblical but, friends, you do not want to be making agreements with your sin. You are dead to sin
and alive to God. You are the dwelling place of Jesus Christ. You are forgiven and dearly loved.
So you must break the agreements you’ve been making here, in this area. Some will be obvious
to you; others require the presence of the Holy Spirit to reveal them.

Spirit of God, search me, know me, reveal to me the agreements I have been making in this area.
I renounce those agreements now. [Be very specific.] I renounce the agreement that [What is it?
“I’ll never get free?" "Rage is just a part of me?" "It’s too late?”] I break these agreements in
the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. I renounce them. I renounce every claim they have given the
enemy in my life. Jesus, my Deliverer, come and break these strongholds. Set me free in this very
place.

Lord Jesus, show me every companion agreement operating here. I renounce the agreement that
I’m alone, that no one will protect me. I renounce the agreement that I am dirty and disgusting. I
renounce every agreement with shame. I renounce the agreement that I can never be forgiven.
Spirit, show me what to pray, reveal these agreements.

This is how we undo that dynamic about letting the sun go down on these things and the enemy
getting a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). Bit by bit you are recovering parts of your heart. You are
taking them back from when you gave them away. This erodes the claim that you gave the
enemy in your heart. Yes, terrible things may have happened to us, but we are the ones who
made these agreements, these resolutions, these vows, and we’re not going to see victory in that
area until we renounce them.

I will be honest—if you’ve given your heart over to something many times over, you’ve given it
a good stronghold, and if it is also tangled up in issues of wounds and sin, it’s going to take some
time to untangle and heal this, but it is worth the work. Don’t just bury it. It’s worth going into
those dark places and those murky waters and working through it. The blood of Jesus Christ
cleanses us of everything. Everything.

Having broken the agreements and renounced the sin, we often find that we have to be quite
intentional in commanding the enemy to leave. “Submit therefore to God,” wrote James the
brother of Jesus, “resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Much of what we have
been doing up to this point is submitting to God, bringing these specific issues under the rule of
Jesus by renouncing the sins, breaking the agreements, sanctifying these places back to the
Lordship of Jesus Christ. Now comes part two of this verse: resist.

I bring the blood of my Lord Jesus Christ right here, in this very place. I renounce every claim I
gave the evil one to my life right here, in this very place. And I bring the blood of Christ now
against the strongholds and against the spirits operating here. [Sometimes you will need to be
firm and specific: I bring the blood of Jesus against all spirits of addiction, of alcoholism, all
spirits of rage, of homosexuality, and so on]. I banish these enemies from my life now—from my
body, my soul, and my spirit. “Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). I resist the
devil here and now and I command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord.

Ask the Spirit to guide you. If you will stick with this and let the Holy Spirit guide you, you can
be free.

Lord, forgive me for giving place in my heart to resentment, to lust, to anger, to alcohol. Forgive
me for giving place in my life to resignation and self-reproach and shame, to fear and doubt and
control. I renounce it now. Come, Jesus Christ, and take your rightful place in my heart and in
my life here. Come and set me free here, in these very places. I plead your blood over these sins,
and I break every hold I gave my enemy here, in the name of Jesus Christ.

As you do this, you erode your enemy’s claims to keep you in bondage. By the way, your enemy
is not going to like the fact that you are about to get free. He will try to discourage you from
praying like this. He will try to distract you (the phone will ring, you’ll suddenly be hungry,
you'll feel like doing it tomorrow). He’ll try to make you feel like, this is so stupid, I can’t
believe I’m doing this out loud. He's going to make you feel like this isn’t working or this isn’t
going to work; now I’m becoming one of those nuts. Just push through all of that.

I bring the work of Jesus Christ once more against you [shame, rage, fear, sexual sin,
resignation, etc.] and I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to go to the throne of Jesus
Christ in his mighty name. “It is for freedom that Christ has set you free” (Galatians 5:1). I
claim my freedom now in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask you to sanctify me through and
through. May my whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23–24). Sanctify me through and through, in this place, in this issue.

Healing the Brokenness

Now for the best part: the healing. God wants to make you whole and holy. He promises to heal
the brokenhearted. So now you invite Jesus in to heal the wound, to love you in this place, to
restore your soul, to heal this memory. You invite him into your past.

Lord Jesus, I invite you into my wounds and my brokenness. [Again, don’t be vague and general;
be very specific.] Jesus, I invite you into the day I was abused. Come into my shattered heart, my
shame, come into that moment in my life. I ask you to cleanse me here, to heal my broken heart
and make me whole.

Linger in this place in prayer. Listen. Pay attention. Often Jesus will bring up something
necessary to your healing. For example, suddenly you feel the anger toward your abuser—Jesus
is showing you that you need to forgive.

Jesus, I forgive my brother for abusing me. I release him from my rage and I give him over to
you.

Sometimes you’ll feel the shame and self-rejection.

Lord Jesus, come into this shame. I renounce self-rejection. I renounce despising myself because
of all that has happened. I forgive myself as well. Come and heal me.

Sometimes you will feel the young places in your heart crying out for love or for protection.

Lord Jesus, gather the young and frightened place in my heart into your loving arms. Come and
find me here, in these very places. Gather my heart into your love and make me whole.

As you are inviting Jesus into your wounds, what is so very beautiful is the fact that quite
often—not every time, but more than you’ll expect—Jesus will show you what he is doing; you
will see him come. Call it seeing with your mind’s eye or Christ using your imagination or
seeing with the eyes of your heart or your spirit—however you want to describe it. Often you
will see Christ come back into your past. He may take you by the hand and lead you out of that
room. You might see him step between you and the one who wounded you, or he might simply
tell you, "You are forgiven, you are safe, I love you."

Healing doesn’t necessarily have to be dramatic. Oftentimes it is very quiet. Jesus simply comes
as we invite him to, and though we may not “see” him or “hear” him, he comes, and we sense a
new peace or quietness in our soul. Our heart feels better somehow. The important thing is for us
to give him permission to these wounded places, invite his healing love, and wait in prayer for
him to come. Do this with each memory of wounding, with each event (ask the Holy Spirit to
guide you). Often I will pray Isaiah 61 as I do this:

Lord Jesus, you have come to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and
release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of
vengeance of our God. Come and heal my brokenness right here, Lord; free me from this
captivity, release me from all darkness, bring your favor here in my soul and bring your
vengeance here against my enemies. Lord, you came to comfort all who mourn, and provide for
those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of
gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. I ask you to
do this in me—comfort me where I am hurting; bestow on me a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
Come in this memory, in this wound. I receive you here.

Many times Jesus simply says, “Let me love you.” We need to open our hearts up to his love. As
we do, it allows him to come to this very place. Linger there and listen; ask for the healing grace
of Jesus Christ over and over again. He comes, dear friends, he comes.

NavyJack - Understanding the Campaign to Destabilize the United States
by
Navy Jack

 Introduction
Any discussion regarding the current destabilization of our nation invariably results in a demand to know who is responsible. Instead of keeping you in suspense, hoping that you read the rest of this article, I am going to tell you upfront that the person responsible is your next-door neighbor. That's correct, your neighbor is responsible for the rapid down-spiral of our country. They did not value their freedom, liberty and rights. Very bad people, many being American,  figured this out when we interred citizens of Japanese descent during World War II and have been working on taking control of our country ever since. Don't feel like this is a purely American issue, Germany did the same and much worse to their Jewish citizens. Stalin and Chairman Mao used the same tactics.  In the end, the willingness of a people to allow their government to strip citizens of their rights with a promise to provide for a slight measure of safety and security is the weapon that aspiring dictators have used for centuries.  Now many of you may think of yourselves as either a good Republican or good Democrat.  What people that think this way fail to recognize is that upon the assassination of John F. Kennedy, our two-party system ended. Eisenhower warned us this would happen, he even told us who would take advantage of it ("the Military-Industrial Complex"). Fascists  or what we now call "Globalists" are slightly more accurate labels for the "Military-Industrial Complex" that Eisenhower referred to, but in either case he was warning us that our nation's power structure had been infiltrated by very bad men who would achieve total control of our nation in time. We failed to listen.
Who Benefits from the Campaign?
Like any good crime novel, the first question a good investigator will ask is "who benefited" from the crime that has been committed. In the case of our nation's destabilization and collapse, each group contributing to the destabilization sincerely believes that they will be a primary beneficiary of the resulting new system. Organizations like La Raza believe they will be able to balkanize the country and realize the promise of a new Hispanic homeland, Aztlan. Members of the Black Lives Matter movement believe they will be the recipients of some long overdue reward for the past mistreatment of their race and be able to live in a new balkanized urban society that is not governed by white devils and thuggish white police officers.   The Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists seek to balkanize our country, much like they have done in Europe, to provide for Sharia Law zones and an eventual North American Caliphate. The United Nations is sincerely looking forward to becoming the central committee of the "New World Order" heralded by George H.W. Bush.  This is the promise each of these groups have received from the financiers of their movements. At their root, all of these movements rely on tribalism and racism to motivate their members. Now I know many of you will say that the Islamists are motivated by religion. This is false. Even the most ardent Jihadi Islamist leader is racist to the core against whites, asians and blacks. Now some of you may say "but many of the Jihadi attacks have been carried out by blacks and Asians".  This is true, but in their purist world, all races are inferior to those of true Arab descent. In the end, the Islamists will use anyone willing to support their cause. When they achieve their goal of balkanization and conquest, the inferior races will be expelled, disposed of, or worse. This is no different than the vast majority of Black Lives Matter protesters being white, working for black leadership. In the end, these whites are dispensable and are never considered equals within the movement. Black Lives Matter even has rules for whites that participate in their protests to remind them of their subservient role and past "white privilege".  I believe it was Joseph Stalin who labeled these types of people "useful idiots". There are dozens of other causes at work, each pushing for their piece of the pie when our nation collapses. The Communists (they like to call themselves socialists) are a particularly nasty group that seeks revolution through whatever means to herald in their repressive, totalitarian leaders. Communists will leverage any form of hate, racial bias or religion to achieve their goals.

Who Finances these Divisive Organizations?
I know a lot of people believe that the George Soros Group of Foundations is the principle "Darth Vader" that finances these divisive groups. He is to an extent, but there is still an "emperor" behind the scenes setting the agenda and controlling his actions.  The United Nations, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Ford Foundation, the Tri-Lateral Commission, The Bilderberg Group and many more are at least equal to the influence and financial support of Mr. Soros. Many nation states are incredibly anxious to finance our destruction, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Iran.  I'm not sure if you noticed, but the U.S. Government has been financing its' own destabilization since 1963 with the advent of the Vietnam War.  Each of these organizations wants some level of control over the people, resources and territory held by the United States when the curtain finally falls.  Some of these organizations work together, as long as it doesn't conflict with their goals. Some of these organizations are competitive, hoping to capitalize on our destruction at the expense of other organizations working towards our demise. I know it is easy to want to point a finger at each one of these groups individually and seek to stop their evil work, but the real villain here is your neighbor. You see, had your neighbor not become complacent with their liberty and freedom we would not be having this discussion. Had your neighbor not accepted state control of the media, unfettered spying on their life's activities, social safety nets that have been abused for decades and the willingness to disarm for paltry promises of greater safety, this discussion would not be required.

Legendary Globalist - George Soros
How does Party Politics influence the Destabilization Campaign?
Between 1963 and 1980 both major political parties recognized the advantages of making promises to the voters that were beyond our means to pay for which in turn forced our country into unimaginable debt. This debt burden has shaped our nation's foreign policy and caused us to engage in unspeakable acts of war.  Our nation has forced regime changes in many countries to pacify our creditors and conducted false-flag operations both domestically and abroad to buttress our failing economy and achieve societal goals imposed on us by these same creditors.  Ronald Reagan came along in 1980, at the utter horror of the political establishment, and sought to upend the progress the Globalists had made.  President Reagan was only successful in delaying the progress slightly during his term in office. Many people believe that the failed attempt on Mr. Reagan's life, only 69 days into his Presidency, was secretly orchestrated by the Globalists.  Had Reagan died, leading Globalist, George H.W. Bush, would have ascended to the Presidency. Reagan survived, but his firebrand attacks on the Globalists ended the day he was shot.  With the election of George H.W. Bush, the Globalists were off and running again with the "New World Order" label, doing everything they could to make up for lost time under Reagan.  This has continued through to our current President, Barrack Obama and would accelerate should Hillary Clinton win the next election. Mr. Donald Trump is a major threat to these Globalists, and they will do whatever they have to do to keep him from ascending to the Presidency. Anything. Nearly all of the media attacks against Mr. Trump are sensationalized stories that twist his ineloquent statements into charges of racism, sexism and worse. He is no angel, but the vicious attacks from Globalist interests tell us who his real enemies are.

What are the Relationships between these Organizations?
It would take years to diagram and explain all of the various organizations, interests and relationships at work to destabilize the United States. Various authors have focused on one aspect or one cause. To make this easier to understand, the following graphic provides a high level overview of the types of organizations, their relationships to other types of organizations and a non-inclusive list of the organizations within each type. Again, the lists within each type of organization (Quasi-Government, Banking/Finance, etc.) are not inclusive, they are illustrative.  Organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) enlist the support of high level government officials, politicians and "think-tank" researchers to produce consensus documents/policies intended to guide Quasi-Government and Banking/Finance interests. In turn, the Quasi Government organizations tailor the guidance received for use in directing activities of Social Movements with the support of Banking/Finance organizations.  Political Movements generally rely on financing that comes from Foreign Governments with strings attached that achieve the interests of the foreign government sponsor(s). The Political Movements embed their operatives within various Social Movements to gain power and influence. For example, the Muslim Brotherhood is extremely active within the Black Lives Matter movement. This cooperation achieves several goals, including the expansion of manpower, the broader dissemination of the Political Movement's influence and the ability to leverage financing from Foreign Governments to buy influence within the Social Movement hierarchy.  Within the United States, both the Social Movements and the Political Movements are shielded by the major political parties. For example, Saudi Arabian influence has flourished under both Republican and Democratic administrations. Turkish support for the Muslim Brotherhood and its resulting influence in the United States has also been supported by both Republican and Democratic administrations.  The intent here is not to define all of these relationships. The intent is to convey an understanding of the interests at work, their purpose and the methods that they are using to cause the eventual demise and fundamental transformation of our nation.  In many ways, the various organizations are playing a game of musical chairs, hoping to have a seat when the music ends.

Orlando Jihadist Omar Mateen, responsible for the recent Pulse Nightclub mass shooting, was radicalized by New Black Panther Party Leader Marcus Dwayne Robertson. Marcus Dwayne Robinson is not only an advocate of radical Islam in Florida he is also famous for being a bodyguard for the Blind Sheik of the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing. The Blind Sheik, Omar Abdel-Rahman, is the leading cleric within the Muslim Brotherhood.  The Muslim Brotherhood is primarily financed by Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Turkey.  Marcus Robertson is a severely anti-gay Muslim activist, and provides radicalization training via his Fundamental Islamic Knowledge Seminary in Florida. Orlando Jihadist Omar Mateen was his student.

Other high profile participants in Marcus Dwayne Robertson's classes include Eric Sheppard. Sheppard was charged with carrying a weapon within a school safety zone in connection with an April 2015 "F**k The Flag" protest incident in which he allegedly left a firearm inside a backpack on campus.  He was the leader of the "F**k The Flag" movement that leveraged members of the Black Lives Matter movement to generate unrest.  From this single example, we see how Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the UAE can influence and finance activities of the Muslim Brotherhood which in turn extends influence to the New Black Panthers, F**k The Flag and the Black Lives Matter movements. We also see the terrible end results of this influence causing massive death and injury by using these organizations to radicalize U.S. Muslims.

Marcus Dwayne Robertson

Another simpler example would include the formation of Marxist-Leninist groups like the Revolutionary Communist Party and localized branch organizations of the World Workers Party within the United States by Mr. George Soros. These groups in turn organize and finance protests, rallies and unrest through social movements, including La Raza and Black Lives Matter. The riots in Fergusson, MO and Baltimore MD were both orchestrated using these methods. The recent anti-Trump riots in San Jose, CA and Albuquerque NM were sponsored in the same way but utilized the emotion of the La Raza movement in-part financed by these same individuals.

How Should Patriots Resist?
Seeing as the current crop of Globalists appear to be using the Mao, Stalin, Hitler playbook; I suggest that food, water, fuel and weapons are the items that will be indispensable when the curtain falls. Late fall or early winter are always the preferred seasons for would-be dictators to seize control.  In the United States, cold weather and starvation would serve as great motivators to get citizens to comply with edicts and turn in their weapons. This approach has worked flawlessly for previous conquests. We must be self-sufficient and have enough stored food, water and medical supplies to withstand this attack. Think years, not months. On this issue, more is always better.  Some high level items that should be accomplished or supported by all patriots include:
We must make sure that the tyrants and Globalists are reminded that we will never just go away and we must do it often. The recent Oath Keepers press release titled " Oath Keepers Response to Orlando FL ISIS Terrorist Attack" is an excellent example of how to remind those who would subject us to tyranny that we are prepared and planning to resist.
We need to exploit the negative press that our enemies receive; not on patriot blogs or on our YouTube channels, but in their world; in their safe spaces. We need to undermine their actions and credibility in the news outlets that they rely on for support. The enemies of liberty have and will do this to us. We must reciprocate on their blogs, on their news media outlets, in their safe places. No threats. We need to leverage propaganda to weaken our enemy, not provoke them to action.
Resist any and all gun control initiatives; Federal, state and local. Protest the politicians that support this tyranny aggressively. The tyrants intend to slow-walk us into disarmament. Every time we give an inch, these tyrants are plotting the next inch. We have to stop all compromise on this issue.
The tyrants are in our schools. They are using our primary and higher education systems as re-education camps. This has to be resisted or we will find the next generation unwilling to continue the fight. Be present, vocal and persistent. Without resistance, this process will ensure our eventual defeat.
The tyrant's financiers want our money in their banks and certainly not in the form of gold or silver that could be bartered. We should all be creating barter stores with our savings. This could be anything other than cash and certainly not in their banks.
The vast majority of our nation's military and law enforcement personnel do not want to persecute patriots. Their politically appointed leadership is another issue altogether. We need to accept this and if the time comes we will need to protect good military and law enforcement personnel from leadership retaliation. The alternative is that they will be coerced into supporting those who would oppress us. Find positive opportunities to communicate with your local law enforcement personnel, members of the State National Guard and your County Sheriff's office. It's a whole lot easier for them to come after someone they do not know. It is a lot more difficult for them to persecute someone they know shares their values and would fight to protect them if the time ever came.
Patriots should also be making lists. Should we survive, there may come a day when the dust settles that trials need to be held to prosecute those who took us down this road. I think it will be a long list. It won't just be politicians, weak-kneed military leaders and bankers. The list will need to include the enablers, the "useful idiots" that provided the manpower for our destruction.
As far as timing; it could be this year. If Trump can be taken out of the equation, then most likely the curtain can stay up another 2-3 years under a Clinton Presidency. She would certainly be able to better position Wall Street's interests in the resulting collapse and could probably make significant progress on gun confiscation during her first term as President. This would certainly make the collapse less messy and less dangerous for the Globalists.

_________

NOTE FROM STEWART RHODES:
To add to what Navy Jack said about what patriotic Americans should do to prepare for what is coming:
Create COMMUNITY DEFENSE (with the ultimate goal being the restoration of a true militia, made up of all able-bodied citizens in your town, county, and state).   As my friend Kevin Reeve of Onpoint Tactical says, "training trumps gear.  But community trumps both training and gear."  You certainly do need training in how to use your stack of stuff, but at the same time you need to cultivate community because no matter how "high speed, low drag" you are (or think you are), you gotta sleep sometime, and no lone wolf is going to be able to fight off a gang when they come to take your stuff.   the "secret squirrel" prepper model will not cut it.  All that does is store up stuff for MS 13 or whatever other gang shows up on your block.  Without real security, all your stash will belong to them, along with your head.   So, build a community defense team.   Start with a neighborhood watch made up of the people who live around you.   After your own family being squared away, that neighborhood watch is the most critical element, because if you don't have security for your home, nothing else will matter.  And no first responder  -no cop, no fire-fighter, no EMT, no posse, and no militia, is going to go anywhere to project out and assist the community if their family is not safe.   We see that in any disaster, man made or natural.  If the cop's family is at risk, the cop will go home and protect his family.   So will all the other first responders.  So will you.  So, get the neighborhood watch, with teeth, started.   Think of them as the Home Guard.  Then build from there, as recommended in our CPT program.  From the neighborhood, to the church, to the VFW hall, to the town, to the county, build security teams, with the goal being a large sheriff posse behind a good sheriff, and then an honest to God town militia of at least company size made up of all able-bodied patriotic citizens in the town, with the town militias then being companies within the larger County militia.   Shoot for a company size element, or more, in each town.   Then work on the county level to organize and coordinate them all.  Call them a Civil Defense team, or Town Security Team, or whatever works to get it done, and then when it is up and running, you can seek official elected government sanction as a true militia.   I will write more extensively on this in the future, but for now, start at that neighborhood watch level and also start a town level "Training Band" using your Oath Keepers CPT as training cadre to train the whole town. And don't just think in terms of guns and tactics.  Think also about communications, emergency medical, engineering, food storage, and intelligence.
Start a neighborhood and/or town level Intelligence Team.  Read Sam Culper's excellent book SHTF Intelligence and do what he says to do in that book.   Build an intel team right now.  Because without it, you will be operating blind.  You won't know what your threats are, and therefore won't know what to prepare for and prioritize in your area.
Start a community food storage program.  Not just for you and your family, friends, and prepper group.  Store food for the whole community.  Yes, that is a tall order, but without food, they will accept whatever dictator or warlord comes along, and you will be screwed (if your own neighbors have not already killed you for your stuff).   Store up cheap bulk foods like rice, beans, wheat, powdered milk, sugar or honey etc.  Look to how the Mormons do it.  Take advantage of their many generations of experience in how to do this.   This nation used to have a three year strategic grain reserve.  It is now gone (and think about why that is).   Food is a strategic necessity, and we will not be able to save this Republic without it.  You can't fight when you are dead from starvation.
Answer these questions:  Who's on your buddy-team (you and one other)?   Who's on your fire-team (Four people)?   Who's on your squad (8-12 fighters)?   Who can you count on to actually fight by your side?  Yes, we are back to security but it is so fundamental that it bears repeating.  Who can be at your side within one minute, to fight off bad guys (that will usually be your own family and immediate neighbors - but are they trained and equipped to actually fight)?   Who can be by your side within five minutes?  Both of those are at the neighborhood level.  Without real backup, whatever fancy "militia" or prepper group you belong to at a county, state, or regional level (or online) will not matter.   Who can be there within fifteen to thirty minutes?  That is the town level.   Within an hour?   That is your county level security force.    And have you all trained together so you can fight as a team?   If not, then get to work.  No buddy team?   No fire-team?  No squad?  Good luck.  That spells weakness and failure.   Fix it now.  Make that your highest priority- Stewart

Faith Discussion / A Tremendous Testimony
« on: June 19, 2016, 10:10:58 PM »
I watched this man give this testimony in my church a week ago on the 12th of June. It is powerful. If it doesn't really move you, then you might want to question your salvation!

No kidding folks. I stood there spellbound while this unfolded. He starts at around 32:02 and continues until 54:35
My wife even makes a surprise showing at 33:24 with our grand daughter.

I thought about it, and it occurred to me I own a forum website...and the power of this thing is in the telling of it...so that others can share in it and be led to glory or encouraged

Do yourself a favor, watch it

OK, "Tac Trac" is a reality starting about 12 hours ago

Here goes:

After cleaning it for hours on my Hide Site thread, I got (deep) into the maintenance and modifications today

Starting with an oil/Filter change.

I had been using John Deere oil and filters, but I have an account over at O'Rileys which cuts the price of oil and filters drastically. And I buy Wix filters which I absolutely love.

The drain plug is big time industrial and the 4 cyl turbo engine of this 4720 tractor holds 2 gallons of oil

I am switching to Mobil Delvac oil in this tractor and a lot of my stuff

Black Lives Matter Pushing For Martial Law And No Elections
Posted on June 13, 2016 by Deb
All News Pipeline – by Stefan Stanford

Imagine this very real possibility for America in less than 5 months from now. Due to massive civil unrest at both the Democratic and Republican Conventions and ‘planned chaos’ throughout the nation, Barack Obama has declared a state of emergency and the 2016 general election has been ‘postponed’.

Due to the massive unrest that breaks out all across the country, Barack Obama will stay in office for another 2 years until law and order can be restored and another presidential election scheduled and (s)election held. By that point in time, the globalists have maneuvered two of their own candidates into position. Martial law is declared nationwide.

Who ‘wins’ in such a situation?

Only days ago, the Twitter account of one of the leaders of Black Lives Matter, Deray McKesson, was hacked according to this story from the Baltimore Sun. The account was then used by the hacker(s) to send out pro-Donald Trump tweets while belittling ‘Black Lives Matter’. Interestingly enough, a series of direct message conversations between McKesson and another leader of Black Lives Matter, Johnetta Elzie, has just been made public and the conversation that took place between McKesson and Elzie as seen in the screenshots below should be sending up another huge red flag to America: BLM is working with those inside the Obama administration to stop the November election.

Why else would McKesson and Elzie be talking about the declaration of martial law in America prior to the election being a ‘win’ for Black Lives Matter? Why would McKesson be talking with Obama attorney general Loretta Lynch about martial law in America and what BLM needs to do to make sure the election is stopped and Trump kept out of office? Not to mention they’re being told to push the ‘Trump is racist’ line. Since when is wanting a country WITH borders ‘racist’? These DM tweets tell us the way that BLM and the current administration in DC are headed and it’s not good at all for Americans. Much more below including several new video reports on what might be a very difficult summer in 2016 America.

Why would anyone push for martial law? Have they no clue whatsoever of what would happen then or do they think that they are somehow ‘insulated’ if martial law is declared due to their closeness to the current administration? As we heard from Susan Duclos back in May, we are now witnessing the rise of ‘orchestrated terrorism’ and as ANP reported back in March of 2016, ‘Black Lives Matter’ recently put out a ‘riot pamphlet’ for the Republican National Convention in both English and in Arabic. Are they expecting members of ISIS to be there protesting Trump?

Why are ‘paid protests’ even allowed to take place in America? As we hear in the next video below, there is now proof that many of these anti-Trump protesters are being paid to do so and there is an awful lot of drama ahead as we head into November. Will America allow ‘black lives matter’ and paid protesters to completely disrupt our election cycle in 2016 as we head towards what might be the most important election in our Republic’s history? As the Tweets above show us, it may be totally out of our Republic’s control if BLM is successful in shutting down the general election in 5 months with help from ‘insiders’.

As we hear in the 2nd video below from a person who reads to us an email they recently received from someone who works within government, insiders know that planned chaos awaits America this election season as the globalists try anything that they possibly can to keep an ‘America 1st’ president out of office. Language warning on this video.

Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / Sheep Dogs
« on: June 13, 2016, 11:56:41 AM »
On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs - Dave Grossman
By LTC (RET) Dave Grossman, author of "On Killing."
Honor never grows old, and honor rejoices the heart of age. It does so because honor is, finally, about defending those noble and worthy things that deserve defending, even if it comes at a high cost. In our time, that may mean social disapproval, public scorn, hardship, persecution, or as always, even death itself. The question remains: What is worth defending? What is worth dying for? What is worth living for? - William J. Bennett - in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy November 24, 1997
One Vietnam veteran, an old retired colonel, once said this to me:
"Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident." This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another. Some estimates say that two million Americans are victims of violent crimes every year, a tragic, staggering number, perhaps an all-time record rate of violent crime. But there are almost 300 million Americans, which means that the odds of being a victim of violent crime is considerably less than one in a hundred on any given year. Furthermore, since many violent crimes are committed by repeat offenders, the actual number of violent citizens is considerably less than two million.
Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.
I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me it is like the pretty, blue robin's egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell. Police officers, soldiers, and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful.? For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.
"Then there are the wolves," the old war veteran said, "and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy." Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.
"Then there are sheepdogs," he went on, "and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf."
If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed
Let me expand on this old soldier's excellent model of the sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. We know that the sheep live in denial, that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids' schools.
But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid's school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep's only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.
The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.
Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn't tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports in camouflage fatigues holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, "Baa."
Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.
The students, the victims, at Columbine High School were big, tough high school students, and under ordinary circumstances they would not have had the time of day for a police officer. They were not bad kids; they just had nothing to say to a cop. When the school was under attack, however, and SWAT teams were clearing the rooms and hallways, the officers had to physically peel those clinging, sobbing kids off of them. This is how the little lambs feel about their sheepdog when the wolf is at the door.
Look at what happened after September 11, 2001 when the wolf pounded hard on the door. Remember how America, more than ever before, felt differently about their law enforcement officers and military personnel? Remember how many times you heard the word hero?
Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle. That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed right along with the young ones.
Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, "Thank God I wasn't on one of those planes." The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, "Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference." When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.
There is nothing morally superior about the sheepdog, the warrior, but he does have one real advantage. Only one. And that is that he is able to survive and thrive in an environment that destroys 98 percent of the population. There was research conducted a few years ago with individuals convicted of violent crimes. These cons were in prison for serious, predatory crimes of violence: assaults, murders and killing law enforcement officers. The vast majority said that they specifically targeted victims by body language: slumped walk, passive behavior and lack of awareness. They chose their victims like big cats do in Africa, when they select one out of the herd that is least able to protect itself.
Some people may be destined to be sheep and others might be genetically primed to be wolves or sheepdogs. But I believe that most people can choose which one they want to be, and I'm proud to say that more and more Americans are choosing to become sheepdogs.
Seven months after the attack on September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer was honored in his hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey. Todd, as you recall, was the man on Flight 93 over Pennsylvania who called on his cell phone to alert an operator from United Airlines about the hijacking. When he learned of the other three passenger planes that had been used as weapons, Todd dropped his phone and uttered the words, "Let's roll," which authorities believe was a signal to the other passengers to confront the terrorist hijackers. In one hour, a transformation occurred among the passengers - athletes, business people and parents. -- from sheep to sheepdogs and together they fought the wolves, ultimately saving an unknown number of lives on the ground.
There is no safety for honest men except by believing all possible evil of evil men. - Edmund Burke
Here is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are wolves. They didn't have a choice. But you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want to be. It is a conscious, moral decision.
If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you. If you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love. But if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior's path, then you must make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the wolf comes knocking at the door.
For example, many officers carry their weapons in church.? They are well concealed in ankle holsters, shoulder holsters or inside-the-belt holsters tucked into the small of their backs.? Anytime you go to some form of religious service, there is a very good chance that a police officer in your congregation is carrying. You will never know if there is such an individual in your place of worship, until the wolf appears to massacre you and your loved ones.
I was training a group of police officers in Texas, and during the break, one officer asked his friend if he carried his weapon in church. The other cop replied, "I will never be caught without my gun in church." I asked why he felt so strongly about this, and he told me about a cop he knew who was at a church massacre in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1999. In that incident, a mentally deranged individual came into the church and opened fire, gunning down fourteen people. He said that officer believed he could have saved every life that day if he had been carrying his gun. His own son was shot, and all he could do was throw himself on the boy's body and wait to die. That cop looked me in the eye and said, "Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself after that?"
Some individuals would be horrified if they knew this police officer was carrying a weapon in church. They might call him paranoid and would probably scorn him. Yet these same individuals would be enraged and would call for "heads to roll" if they found out that the airbags in their cars were defective, or that the fire extinguisher and fire sprinklers in their kids' school did not work. They can accept the fact that fires and traffic accidents can happen and that there must be safeguards against them.
Their only response to the wolf, though, is denial, and all too often their response to the sheepdog is scorn and disdain. But the sheepdog quietly asks himself, "Do you have and idea how hard it would be to live with yourself if your loved ones attacked and killed, and you had to stand there helplessly because you were unprepared for that day?"
It is denial that turns people into sheep. Sheep are psychologically destroyed by combat because their only defense is denial, which is counterproductive and destructive, resulting in fear, helplessness and horror when the wolf shows up.
Denial kills you twice. It kills you once, at your moment of truth when you are not physically prepared: you didn't bring your gun, you didn't train. Your only defense was wishful thinking. Hope is not a strategy. Denial kills you a second time because even if you do physically survive, you are psychologically shattered by your fear helplessness and horror at your moment of truth.
Gavin de Becker puts it like this in Fear Less, his superb post-9/11 book, which should be required reading for anyone trying to come to terms with our current world situation: "...denial can be seductive, but it has an insidious side effect. For all the peace of mind deniers think they get by saying it isn't so, the fall they take when faced with new violence is all the more unsettling."
Denial is a save-now-pay-later scheme, a contract written entirely in small print, for in the long run, the denying person knows the truth on some level.
And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes. If you are warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be "on" 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...
"Baa."
This business of being a sheep or a sheep dog is not a yes-no dichotomy. It is not an all-or-nothing, either-or choice. It is a matter of degrees, a continuum. On one end is an abject, head-in-the-sand-sheep and on the other end is the ultimate warrior. Few people exist completely on one end or the other. Most of us live somewhere in between. Since 9-11 almost everyone in America took a step up that continuum, away from denial. The sheep took a few steps toward accepting and appreciating their warriors, and the warriors started taking their job more seriously. The degree to which you move up that continuum, away from sheephood and denial, is the degree to which you and your loved ones will survive, physically and psychologically at your moment of truth.

Faith Discussion / If you don't know Jesus....
« on: June 13, 2016, 09:50:04 AM »
If you don't know Jesus, then this life on earth is the only heaven you will ever know.
If you do know Jesus, this current life on earth is the only hell you will ever know!

These words are so very true, and for just about 100% of the members of this gathering place the second sentence is the one that applies.

So you should have picked up two things from that statement.

First of all, being saved we know that if we walk in the shadow of our King Jesus this walk on earth, a very temporary one is as bad as it will ever get.
Secondly, it changes the prospect of dying from one of fear and sadness to one of anticipation for what comes next, or at least it should!

Isiah 46:3-4 says it well
3 “Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob,
all the remnant of the people of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since your birth,
and have carried since you were born.
4 Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.

I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

He will sustain us. He will keep us in the stuff that we need. That might be a flat tire that causes the delay getting to the restaurant. The very restaurant where the latest mentally ill or ISIS wanna-be decides to see if he can best his buddy's 50 dead body count. Or maybe he puts bread on the table, or finds the money for the overdue mortgage payment, or perhaps while everyone is losing their way and jobs, you hit the jackpot.

His blessing comes in so many ways, that's its hard to count, but they come, don't they!

These are turbulent waters we have sailed into with someone whose moral compass has been pointing more in the direction of the wind, than to the one unchanging eternal truth and father of everything. Yep, we're there and it's a morass, it's a mess. To me it is feels like entering a battlefield. There is danger everywhere, but I haven't pinpointed the source yet. I'm not even sure of the nature of it. All I know is that it is here, it is waiting, it has powerful weapons, it is going to attack, and last of all, I will win the day and gain victory.

Granted that victory may not have me perched on a throne atop a mound of gold (or old NOS Chevy parts!!!). It may end with my last heartbeat that shows me smiling knowing that I am entering eternity, and knowing that my sacrifice saved those kids standing over there. Yup, might end like that, but that's the way things swing down here in the hood.

I am more concerned, and so should you be as well, if you love our Jesus, to be doing the right thing. I need to be testing the water to ensure it is of good quality, and not concealing some bacteria, some lethal poison, or a virus which will destroy. I can do that, thankfully, or should I say "Thank God" because I have at my disposal My Mark 1, M-101 Bible. This thing has this mechanism in it called knowledge, and even the wisdom adapter! It has a lens through which, like the X-ray glasses of old which the boys used in the comic world to look into walls and sometimes after that girl over there! This optic which works with the other adapters I mentioned to allow me to look at a thing and determine it's quality. Not like the thickness (Thinness??) of the steel on some Korean car, but the quality of something as it pertains to the word of my perfect Father in heaven.

I can look at a new law for example. Let's say, one legalizing the marriage of a man to another man. My optic turns red warning me something is amiss! The Bible condemns homosexuality as an immoral and unnatural sin. Leviticus 18:22 identifies homosexual sex as an abomination, a detestable sin. Romans 1:26-27 declares homosexual desires and actions to be shameful, unnatural, lustful, and indecent. First Corinthians 6:9 states that homosexuals are unrighteous and will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I'm not picking on homosexuals here, heck God loves them the same as he loves me. Therefore if he thinks they are worthy of being loved, who am I to question the one who made me? Yea, its not the man, it's the sin. My Moral, bible powered optic on the world identifies the quality of a concept or idea or law or act, or concept, or what's being said, and that is enough.

Now, being a soldier and some would say not too awful bad of one, although others might say the opposite, but with being a soldier I try to distill things down to the absolute basics and essentials. I have had little precious time to consider in depth every factor bearing on some decision. I had to find a way to ferret out the "Noise" and get to the essential factors, the critical points and act on that. For that reason I am capable at making some decent quick decisions and I am also a miserable failure at the listening part of being married to a woman. Guys, you know what I'm talking about, so I'll spare the 70,000 word manuscript explaining that communication concept, and stay on point with my critical thinking theme.

I have found that with respect to everything that ever has been, is, and is yet to come...With everything like that which is, well, everything, I simply ask myself a simple question: Does it point to Jesus? Does it align with the word of God? Does the holy spirit in me stay in his happy place or start sumo wrestling with my insides?

With all too much these days, I have been hitting the pain meds and pepto bismol quite frequently. Thinking about this thing with transgenders (What is that anyway...I mean how can that be??) I had diarrhea for a week! Check, that ain't right! Next decision...

Islam??? Nope, same-same and it gives me gas too!

And things come up all the time. Strange things that make no sense unless you look at it the way it really might be. Lately it is this Pope's decision to perhaps plant a mosque in Vatican city. Kinda like adding a few drops of vivid black paint to a bucket of white paint in the hope of achieving a brighter, purer white! Yea, like that! How is that going to help? Well, again, 1. I'm a Kentuckian, 2. I'm male, and 3. I'm a soldier. With those three qualifiers, I may not be sharpest pencil in the drawer!

Well, I got to thinking about that. Does it point toward Jesus? Does it glorify him? Well no and no, so we're off to a pretty bad start if you're wanting to convince yourself that anything with respect to that is a good thing. But then the soldier in me started to look about. Yes, sure enough I was short final to yet another LZ, another raid, another battlefield. My goose bumps were up, they're up right now! I remembered that the Anti Christ comes from Rome. Not Rome the city necessarily, but let me ask you, what is the single greatest manifestation of Rome on earth??? Could it be? I'd be watching and testing

Matthew 7:13-15
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them.

I'd be honing your testing skills! I'd be prepping to stand firm on the word, for you too are going to be tested. Shy not from the Lord, because he is your anchorage in this sea of calamity. You better stay anchored, you had better repent and leave sin far behind you, and be that light into this darkening world. Do that for him, he died for you!

I finally couldn't stand it anymore. The corner garage down the street, called, "Korner Garage"...Really...Well for as long as I have been looking, has had an old Suburban sitting there. It is a gold colored diesel 2WD GMC.

Today I decided to give it a look over. It is a 1982 model with a blown up 6.2 detroit diesel and a R700-4 transmission. It has 5 lug wheels with the steelie sport rims. The interior is fair, but the body, much like SquareD has little to no rust. The frame has no rust that I could see. Only dirt and dust.

I asked Troy, the shop owner if it was for sale, and he said yes. Is asking $1500. It does not have the barn doors and obviously needs 4WD installed, another motor, a complete teardown and overhaul, but the body is as good as any you could hope to find.

One wheel well is perforated and there is an active wasp nest in the drivers door jamb. I'd take nothing away because of the blown boat anchor, but the wasp nest presents an immediate problem.

Oh, the interior is layered (Triassic, Jurassic, and so forth) with cigarette butts. My keen instincts suggest it has been smoked in a bit! Let me see, oh yes, the right aft door is dented, borderline repairable, and there are one or two other very minor 40mm cannon holes here and there. It is wearing Baghdad license plates and someone put a "82nd Airborne was here" decal on the windshield, which is also cracked.

Now some, well most of the facts I stated are true. Based on your deductive abilities of where the truth actually lies, what is that body worth?

Cuba’s Vietnam War Involvement

Research by John Lowery

Whatever one thinks of President Barack Obama’s overtures to Cuba and the accompanying prisoner exchange, an important consideration in need of immediate attention is an accounting of our servicemen captured in the Vietnam War and imprisoned in Cuban-operated POW camps.  Of utmost importance is an accounting of the 17 American airmen captured in North Vietnam and then taken to Cuba for medical experiments in torture techniques.

Most Americans are unaware that Cuba was deeply involved in the Vietnam War.  In fact they had an engineering battalion called the “Girón Brigade,” that was maintaining Route Nine, a major enemy supply line into South Vietnam . Their facilities included a POW camp and field hospital very near the DMZ, just inside North Vietnam . Meanwhile Cuban interrogators worked in Hanoi at a prison known as the Zoo. We know of these operations and some of what happened to our servicemen after some managed to survive and be repatriated in the winter of 1973, during Operation Homecoming.

Following his release Major Jack Bomar, a Zoo survivor, described the brutal beating of Captain Earl G. Cobeil, an F-105F electronics warfare officer, by Cuban Major Fernando Vecino Alegret, known by the POWs as “Fidel.” Regarding Captain Cobeil, Bomar related, “he was completely catatonic. … His body was ripped and torn everywhere…Hell cuffs appeared almost to have severed his wrists…Slivers of bamboo were imbedded in his bloodied shins, he was bleeding from everywhere, terribly swollen, a dirty yellowish black and purple [countenance] from head to toe.”

In an effort to force Cobeil to talk “Fidel smashed a fist into the man’s face, driving him against the wall. Then he was brought to the center of the room and made to get down onto his knees. Screaming in rage, Fidel took a length of rubber hose from a guard and lashed it as hard as he could into the man’s face. The prisoner did not react; he did not cry out or even blink an eye. Again and again, a dozen times, [Fidel] smashed the man’s face with the hose.”

Because of his grotesque physical condition Captain Cobeil was not repatriated but instead was listed as “died in captivity,” with his remains returned in 1974. (Miami Herald, August, 22 1999, and Benge, Michael D. “The Cuban Torture Program, Testimony before the House International Relations Committee, Chaired by the Honorable Benjamin A. Gilman, November 4, 1999.) Incredibly, Fidel’s torture of Major James Kasler is well known as he somehow managed to survive the Cuban’s torture.

Much less is known about our 17 captured airmen taken to Cuba for “experimentation in torture techniques.” They were held in Havana ’s Los Maristas, a secret Cuban prison run by Castro’s G-2 Intelligence service. A few were held in the Mazorra (Psychiatric) Hospital and served as human guinea pigs used to develop improved methods of extracting information through “torture and drugs to induce [American] prisoners to cooperate.”

After being shot down in April of 1972, U.S. Navy F-4 pilot, Lt. Clemmie McKinney, an African-American, was imprisoned near the Cuban compound called Work Site Five. His capture occurred while then-Cuban president Fidel Castro was visiting the nearby Cuban field hospital. Although listed as killed in the crash by DOD, his photograph standing with Castro, was later published in a classified CIA document.

More than 13 years later, on August 14, 1985, the North Vietnamese returned Lt. McKinney ’s remains, reporting that he died in November 1972. However, a U.S, Army forensic anthropologist established the “time of death as not earlier than 1975 and probably several years later.” The report speculated that he had been a guest at Havana ’s Los Maristas prison, with his remains returned to Vietnam for repatriation. (We also paid big money for the remains — delivered in stacks of green dollars to Hanoi aboard an AF C-141 from Travis AFB, California.) Unfortunately, our servicemen held in the Cuban POW camp near Work Site Five (Cong Truong Five), along with those in two other Cuban run camps were never acknowledged nor accounted for and the prisoners simply disappeared.

If our honor code of “Duty, Honor, Country,” and our national policy of “No man left behind,” are more than meaningless slogans, then before our relations with Cuba can be normalized, their murderous leadership must account for our POWs—especially the 17 airmen taken to Cuba . The civilized world and American veterans demand it.

D.O.T. / Dodge 3500 or W350 factory 4WD van???
« on: June 06, 2016, 07:06:22 PM »
I was over at the tractor dealer snoopin' around and parked around back in service yellow colors is a Dodge W350 van! Yea, never saw anything like that before. Sits at a height normal for the W250's we all play with. Has a Dana front and rear axle, manual locking hubs, transfer case shifter on the floor, and it looks like it is original. Has some yellow service lights on it, as if it were once a service vehicle of some sort.
Will need to score a pic but I can say I have never seen such a thing before...It kinda looks cool

I'm done with Deere!

As in John Deere

I am tired of fixing this so called premium tractor every single day I ever dare to start it up and use it for something it was built to do.

I am tired of excuses from the dealer

I am tired of hearing a salesman tell me it can mow down a california redwood, but later have service tell me I ran over a twig and it wasn't designed to do that.

All John Deere has any more is some pretty green paint.

Green paint sprayed over plastic body panels, over a Jap Yanmar engine, sprayed over a Daedong Korean axle, sprayed over a Chinese or Indian transmission (German in my case) and assembled by someone in the USA.

I am tired of a tractor priced like a Mercedes because it is premium to be of fewer features and lesser quality than the chinese, indian, korean and everyone else's tractors.

John Deere is an over-priced illusion and I am getting off the wagon!

I have owned Deere tractors since 1988 and after what happened this past week, I am now priority one toward getting rid of these things.

I bought a warranty on my 4720. Supposed to fix everything for 7 years.

Well, fix everything actually means a $250 service call either way, bring it back, look it over and determine if it is even warranty. In any case I pay the $500 transport cost. If it is broken, then obviously that's my fault since I used the tractor! If it actually failed, then they buy the $31 sensor and replace it 0.5 hr!

Some warranty! It's all a scam and Limestone tractor, the J-Deere store is not standing behind what they told me and charged me $1700 for when I bought this super expensive tractor.

Nossir, you do me wrong like that and you have shown your true colors and I'm done!

Little Story Forwarded

In 1991, at the end of Desert Storm, a 19 yr. old US Army Cavalry Scout Private who had just spent 8 months at war sat out on a street at Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia. He sat there on his duffle bag with
his Battalion around him for 4 days waiting for the buses to come and take him to the King Fahad Airport so he could go home.

Unfortunately, the politicians of the day never planned for how to bring so many soldiers home after the war ended so there was a shortage of planes. Politicians are great at talking, but terrible at
doing.

Finally, the buses came, and took the young man to the airport. The planes waiting were from Tower Air. The owner of Tower Air had volunteered his planes and staff to bring soldiers home for the cost
of fuel only.  Happily, the young veteran got home just in time for Easter weekend in 1991, and spent that time emotionally healing with friends and family
surrounding him.

That Private was me.

The Airline owner - Donald J Trump.

That is why I will vote Trump. Loyalty for loyalty, respect for respect. Any questions?

Coffee Induced Early Morning Rant / 4 Simple Questions...

4 Simple Questions.......

1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes’. So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is "African-American" when the term wasn't even used at that time ?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961 and Lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, Right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in "Kenya, East Africa".

This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet Exist?

Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate". (check it below)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya_%28http:/en.wikipedia..org/wiki/Kenya%29

3. On the Birth Certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital".

This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively.

The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?
(CHECK IT BELOW)

Why hasn't this been discussed in the major media?

4. Perhaps a clue comes from Obama's book on his father. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I'm not a math genius, so I may need some help from you. Barack Obama's "birth certificate" says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when Obama was born. That should have put his father's date of birth approximately 1936 - if my math holds (Honest! I did that without a calculator!) Now we need a non-revised history book-one that hasn't been altered to satisfy the author's goals-to verify that WW II was basically between 1939 and 1945. Just how many 3 year olds fight in Wars? Even in the latest stages of WW II his father wouldn't have been more than 9 years old. Does that mean that Mr. Obama is a liar, or simply chooses to alter the facts to satisfy his imagination or political purposes ?

Very truly yours,

CFR Globalist: End U.S. States, Build China-style Regional Gov't
by Alex Newman
Introduction at Oath Keepers by Shorty Dawkins, Associate Editor

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), wants to destroy America, plain and simple. In this article, by a foreigner, writing for the CFR, the elimination of the States is proposed. Of course it is never mentioned that it was the States who joined together to create the United States and the Federal Government. Just where Mr. Khana thinks the Federal Government has the Constitutional power to abolish the States, he chooses not to mention. The CFR is the main pusher of Globalization, whose goal is to create a Centralized one-world government, economy, army and religion. - Shorty Dawkins, Associate Editor

Excerpts from the article:

It is time for the United States of America to ditch the whole "states" thing, and for the federal government to re-organize the nation politically into massive regions with powerful regional governments fully subservient to national and even international authorities. The goal of the dystopian "economic master plan" is for America to become more like Communist China on the road toward a North American Union.

That might sound ridiculous - perhaps like the ravings of a mad man - to the average American. After all, the United States is, by its nature, a union of 50 states that have delegated a few limited and defined powers to their agent, the federal government, in pursuit of, among other objectives, securing "the Blessings of Liberty." If globalists get their way, though, that "antiquated" notion would be tossed on to the ash heap of history.

Writing in the New York Times last month, a mid-level globalist operative with the war-mongering, global government-promoting Council on Foreign Relations argued that there needs to be a "new map for America." "Advanced economies in Western Europe and Asia are reorienting themselves around robust urban clusters of advanced industry," wrote Parag Khanna, a CFR globalist and self-styled "leading global strategist," whatever that means. "Unfortunately, American policy making remains wedded to an antiquated political structure of 50 distinct states."

Instead of the 50 states, Khanna argues that America's new map should be based on regions, each with its own regional government. "We don't have to create these regions; they already exist, on two levels," the CFR operative explained. "First, there are now seven distinct super-regions, defined by common economics and demographics, like the Pacific Coast and the Great Lakes. Within these, in addition to America's main metro hubs, we find new urban archipelagos." Federal policy should be used to bring it all about, he said.

I believe this unconscionable president and his legion of yes men have laid the ground work for a war that will annihilate a lot of humanity. He is a devil, our president, plain and simple. He has enabled Iran's government whom I believe to be completely under the control of Satan, the ability to develop nuclear weapons. Heck we're probably even helping them!

That bomb has a Jewish target and will initiate a nuclear war that at best case will only destroy the middle east and parts of Europe. That's the best case. Of course along with that will come the collapse of the global economic system and the fall of American life as we know it today.
We can hope all we have to deal with is 1930's style poverty, after a 20% dieoff following the collapse of the food/transportation nexus, but I'd bet we will see a nuclear fallout and perhaps a few well planted mushroom clouds on our turf.

That's the best case. Worst is a global conflagration with numerous nuclear detonations fired from aggressive nations to keep certain powers in their corner. Think N. Korea won't hit Seoul? or Tokyo? While Israel is taking out Iran, think Riyadh won't get incinerated as well?

And while all this Jewish/Muslim killing is taking place, do you think the Muslim populations in Germany, France, Britain, Belgium, and other places are going to fall in lockstep behind their respective governments?

Nope, I don't think so. Call me a student of all that I have seen in 30 + years of military duty and studying my enemy. Nossir, you're looking at the whole ball of string. All this enabled by all of you who did nothing...Mostly the youth, but also the complacent, who blindly followed their leader as he marched them off the cliff...

President Obama—with the help of an equally arrogant 38-year-old national security fabulist, Ben Rhodes—remade the Middle East to empower America’s most hated enemy.

The Federalist

There are few things in the world less popular in the United States than the Islamic Republic of Iran. As the then-new, optimistic promise of the Obama presidency beckoned in 2008, Gallup found that overall opinion of Iran in this country was 8 percent favorable and a dramatic 88 percent unfavorable. These numbers have been remarkably consistent over time; there’s no better evidence that, in the eyes of the American people, Iran is our enemy.
U.S. public opinion of Iran
By 2009, the American people were well aware of the anti-American and anti-Semitic ranting of Iran’s then-president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and were worried about the Islamic Republic’s development of nuclear weapons and clear threats to use them. Even without Iran’s direction and sponsorship of militias killing of thousands of American soldiers in Iraq, the genocidal anti-Israel pronouncements of its leadership, death sentence on novelist Salman Rushdie, or efforts to advance the worldwide Islamic revolution on which the regime is based, the American people have not forgotten the 30 years of enmity since Ayatollah Khomeini’s 1979 revolution.

However, even as the American people remained rightly skeptical of Iran in the last year of President Obama’s first term, the Obama White House had begun secret talks with the Ahmadinejad regime, which would result in the world’s acquiescence to Iran’s nuclear program.

Create an ‘Echo Chamber,’ Then Cast off Allies
How would the American people react to knowing that an administration, then still stinging from Republican critiques of its anti-Americanism and weakness on the world stage, was holding secret negotiations in Oman with the most powerful still-standing member of George W. Bush’s “Axis of Evil”?

Under these conditions, Obama—with the help of an equally arrogant 38-year-old national security fabulist, Ben Rhodes (with whom he’s said to “mind-meld”)—succeeded in remaking the Middle East to empower America’s most hated enemy, the only United Nations member state committed to the annihilation of another state: the theocratic Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rhodes and Obama knew that, for anyone but the hard-left to accept a deal with America’s bitter enemy in Tehran, a new narrative needed to emerge, even if it was relatively transparent nonsense. As Rhodes explained to his bemused interviewer, David Samuels, in a New York Times Magazine profile this weekend, it was first necessary to lie to a corrupted and inexperienced American media about all sorts of things, beginning with the nature and intentions of the enemy Iranian regime. Subsequent lies were caked on, as the White House took advantage of a dangerous mix of journalists’ ignorance, their ideological and partisan commitment to the administration, and, finally, their career aspirations.

Rhodes said, “The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns… They literally know nothing.” Thus they will believe what he tells them. He also tells friendly non-governmental organizations and think tanks what he is telling the journalists. Those outlets produce “experts” whose expert opinion is just what Rhodes wants it to be. These ignorant young journalists thus have quotes that look like independent confirmation of the White House’s lies. Here’s how Samuels describes the scene:

In the spring of last year, legions of arms-control experts began popping up at think tanks and on social media, and then became key sources for hundreds of often-clueless reporters. ‘We created an echo chamber,’ [Rhodes] admitted, when I asked him to explain the onslaught of freshly minted experts cheerleading for the deal. ‘They were saying things that validated what we had given them to say.’ (emphasis added)

Of course, spinning reporters and promoting experts isn’t exactly new; it’s been standard practice in political warfare since the birth of the first press corps. What’s both new and frightening is what Rhodes’ and Obama’s effort furthers. As Lee Smith sums up in the Weekly Standard,

For the last seven years the American public has been living through a postmodern narrative crafted by an extremely gifted and unspeakably cynical political operative whose job is to wage digital information campaigns designed to dismantle a several-decade old security architecture while lying about the nature of the Iranian regime. No wonder Americans feel less safe—they are.

Rhodes’ ‘Plot Line’: Iran’s Newly Ascendant Moderates
First, the lies and the denials about the negotiations. It took months before a few dogged journalists started to ask questions about the talks Obama officials were engaged in with Ahmadinejad’s regime. In February 2013, then-State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland flatly denied “direct, secret bilateral talks with Iran.” Republicans on Capitol Hill were nervous about the rumors, but the media was willing to accept the State Department’s denial. The secret negotiations with Iran also alarmed America’s allies in Jerusalem, who had also been kept in the dark about their closest ally’s clandestine meetings with their most potent adversary.

Nuland’s successor, Jen Psaki, would later admit that, as Fox’s James Rosen reported, “the meetings stretched back to 2011.” By that time, as New York Times Magazine makes clear, Rhodes had fashioned a new origin story for the administration’s negotiations: that a “thaw” in American-Iranian relations was made possible by the election of Iranian “moderates” in the summer of 2013. Samuels writes of Rhodes:

He is adept at constructing overarching plotlines with heroes and villains, their conflicts and motivations supported by flurries of carefully chosen adjectives, quotations and leaks from named and unnamed senior officials. He is the master shaper and retailer of Obama’s foreign-policy narratives, at a time when the killer wave of social media has washed away the sand castles of the traditional press. (emphasis added)

One of the “overarching plotlines” Rhodes crafted credited Hassan Rouhani’s election in June with signaling a new willingness of Iranians to negotiate that the Obama administration then embraced. Obama, of course, would play the hero; the villains, however, numbered in the thousands, like the cast of “Ben Hur”: neocons, and those darkly loyal to Israel’s interests; partisan Republicans; knuckle-dragging warmongers, and other enemies of the peace.

Of course, it was all a lie. Firstly, Rouhani is no sort of moderate. He has presided over a steady uptick of executions of Iran’s dissidents, as well as sexual and religious minorities. Even more egregious, though, was the lie about the genesis of the negotiations, as Obama sent Rhodes and other select emissaries to talks with Iran’s hard-liner relentlessly anti-American president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad just as the latter was promising Israel’s annihilation.

Nevertheless, Psaki echoed this narrative, saying negotiations, “really picked up after [Iranian] President Rouhani’s election.” The clearest example of this (now obviously false) narrative was peddled directly to Congress, in testimony by Colin Kahl, deputy assistant to the president and national security advisor to Vice President Joe Biden. On November 13, 2013, Kahl opened his remarks:

The long-simmering nuclear crisis with Iran is approaching a critical inflection point. The election of Hassan Rouhani, a moderate former nuclear negotiator, as Iran’s new president has re-energized diplomacy between Iran and the P5+1 (the United States, Britain, China, France, Germany, and Russia). Sanctions have taken a heavy toll on the Iranian economy, and Rouhani believes he has a popular mandate and sufficient latitude from Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to reach an accommodation with the international community in exchange for lessening the pressure. The prospects for a comprehensive agreement to peacefully resolve the nuclear impasse have never been higher.

Obama’s ‘Compadres’ and ‘Force Multipliers’ in Action
Now, as Samuels reports, the White House knew it had enough political will and ideological accomplices in the media to jam the story down Americans’ throats and score a political victory:

Rhodes has become adept at ventriloquizing many people at once. Ned Price, Rhodes’s assistant, gave me a primer on how it’s done. The easiest way for the White House to shape the news, he explained, is from the briefing podiums…. ‘But then there are sort of these force multipliers,’ he said, adding, ‘We have our compadres, I will reach out to a couple people, and you know I wouldn’t want to name them—‘

‘I can name them,’ I said, ticking off a few names of prominent Washington reporters and columnists who often tweet in sync with White House messaging.

Price laughed. ‘I’ll say, “Hey, look, some people are spinning this narrative that this is a sign of American weakness,”’ he continued, ‘but—’

‘In fact it’s a sign of strength!’ I said, chuckling. (emphasis added)

Samuels is chuckling because the game is so obviously rigged, even an outside observer would notice the con man’s shills trying unsuccessfully to blend into the crowd. Among the honor-role of “compadres” Rhodes has “become adept at ventriloquizing” are Zach Beauchamp and Max Fisher—two leftist Vox.com writers who couldn’t more closely resemble Rhodes’ remark, “they literally know nothing.”

Beauchamp is notorious for alleging the existence of a bizarre land-bridge between Gaza and the West Bank which (naturally) the Israelis use as a weapon of war against peaceful Palestinian commuters. Fisher was recently plucked from Vox.com to ply his trade at The New York Times where, evidently, policy expertise and basic subject matter knowledge aren’t as important as eagerness to both take nasty swipes at Israel and play Rhodes’ ventriloquist dummy.

This brings us to al-Monitor’s Laura Rozen. Perhaps no other reporter in Washington is as identified with voicing the point of view of both the Iranian regime and the White House. Unfortunately for the American people, this is anything but a difficult balancing act: the party line, in both cases, is almost always identical. Rozen’s relentlessness in being on-message earned her a mention in the Times by White House Director of Digital Rapid Response Tanya Somanader, who ran the administration’s Iran Deal Twitter. “Laura Rozen was my RSS feed,” Somanader told Samuels. “She would just find everything and retweet it.”

Rozen’s willingness to swallow the administration’s lie—sorry, Rhodes’ “overarching plotline”—that was manifestly untrue about the origin of the U.S.-Iran negotiations was, as always, total. Here she is in al-Monitor on October 15, 2013:

US Secretary of State John Kerry met for thirty minutes with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in New York last month. Noting the meeting, and the historic phone call between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and President Obama, a senior U.S. Administration official told journalists Monday that ‘rubicon’ had been crossed. ‘This is a direct consequence of Rouhani and Obama breaking the taboo,’ Ali Vaez, senior Iran analyst at the International Crisis Group, said of the US-Iranian meeting here Tuesday. (emphasis added)

To complete the echo chamber, others wrote very similar stories pushing Rhodes’ phony narrative. Here is CNN, authors Laura Smith-Spark and Jim Scutto, on October 16, 2013:

This week’s high-level talks in Geneva are the first such talks since the election of President Hassan Rouhani this summer raised the prospect of a shift in direction from Iran. During a visit to the U.N. General Assembly in September, Rouhani’s diplomatic approach raised hopes in the West of a thaw in relations with Tehran and progress in negotiations on its nuclear program. Rouhani’s visit culminated in a phone call with U.S. President Barack Obama and a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Iran’s Zarif. (emphasis added)

Once Rhodes’ “force multipliers” in the media had cemented the narrative of a post-Ahmadinejad “thaw” in relations that led to negotiations, the White House was able to weaponize it against deal skeptics. First, it was used against French President François Hollande, a doubter of the nuclear talks. “Why France Is to Blame for Blocking the Iran Nuclear Agreement,” blared Daily Beast writer Christopher Dickey on November 10, 2013:

After years of discussions, the world’s major powers had finally devised a promising deal to stop Iran’s worrisome nuclear program—until France’s petty bureaucrats thwarted the plan. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s high-profile visit to New York during the United Nations General Assembly, a phone call between him and President Barack Obama, and repeated positive signals from Tehran—even from the supposedly hard-line Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei—had raised expectations had raised hopes of a thaw in U.S.-Iranian relations after more than three decades of hostility. (emphasis added)

The White House also used its weaponized “force multipliers” in what was evidently a Rhodes-led campaign to shout down opponents of the Iran deal. The Wall Street Journal’s Sohrab Ahmari recounted the pushback against an op-ed he’d written following Rouhani’s election in June 2013. Speaking about those “force multipliers,” Ahmari noted:

The White House’s “force multipliers” were put to work every time the American people got too close to the truth about the Iran deal. This was most in evidence while a few intrepid reporters at the Wall Street Journal or Associated Press broke revelations of numerous radical Obama administration giveaways, especially the Parchin side deal.

Iran was allowed to make a deal with the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect itself, and the terms of this deal were never turned over to Congress as the Corker-Cardin law required. Once again, friendly media action covered illegal action. Ignorant journalists who knew nothing but what they had been fed were willing partners in shutting down the debate. This gave cover for the president’s few allies in the Senate to stage their filibuster. It was successful, as the Senate never voted to accept or reject the Iran deal. The failure to disclose the side deals’ terms to Congress violated the Corker-Cardin law.

Ignorant journalists who knew nothing but what they had been fed were willing partners in shutting down the debate.

Similarly, the White House’s pet journalists fell all over themselves making sure that every outlet in America described the post-deal elections in Iran as a victory, inevitably, for the theocracy’s “moderates.” They described the election in glowing terms, as if it were a clear endorsement of openness brought about by Obama’s wisdom.

Rather, the elections should have been seen as a rebuke of the president’s policy, as 99 percent of reformist candidates were disqualified before any votes were ever cast. To even compete, so-called “moderate” parties were forced to accept hard-liners loyal to Khamenei. The elections thus cemented hard-liner control of Iran as never before. Ayatollah Khamenei, to underline this, declared that anyone who thought that the future of Iran was in diplomacy instead of missiles was either a fool or a traitor. But if you read it in American newspapers, thanks to Rhodes, you’d think that Iran has continued moderating in a positive direction.

The effect of national security policy enacted and cheered on in the press in this way has been disastrous, as real experts tried to warn us it would be. Those experts were shouted down by a mob that “literally knows nothing,” but is happy to participate in a mutually beneficial information operation.

‘Restructuring the Narrative,’ Whether You Want It or Not
The White House’s political war on Iran deal opponents reconfigured the debate as a partisan issue, as Rhodes had planned. With the very notable exception of the Associated Press’ Matt Lee, most of Washington’s journalists, who are supposed to be the eyes and ears of the American people, actively helped them.

The White House’s political war on Iran deal opponents reconfigured the debate as a partisan issue, as Rhodes had planned.

In the New York Times Magazine, Rhodes—and, by extension, the president he continues to work for—confessed to misleading the media, members of Congress, and the American people, all in service of a truly massive re-alignment of the nation’s interests and security.

Abandoning longtime allies while embracing states that have long been enemies is a massive strategic shift more momentous than what can ordinarily be explained as “foreign policy”; in a free society, it requires the assent of the American people. Like its manipulation of the Constitution’s treaty process, this White House subverted that assent to convince Americans that they live in a different, less dangerous world.

Operating as if we live in that different world, though, is a treacherous illusion. Some of the tangible results, not yet a year after the Iran deal: the consolidation of hard-liner power in Iran; the collapse of the ban on Iran’s testing of ballistic missiles; the collapse of the arms control regimes preventing Iran from buying heavy weapons and missiles from Russia; Iran’s staging of multiple new ballistic missile tests; and, finally, that Iran has generated so much new enriched uranium, they’ve had to ship tons to Russia.

Reconstructing the truth isn’t new for Rhodes who, based on Samuels’ account, still clings to the juvenile literary tastes and the mock rebellious pose of the Williamsburg hipster he once was. Samuels writes,

When I asked Jon Favreau, Obama’s lead speechwriter in the 2008 campaign, and a close friend of Rhodes’s, whether he or Rhodes or the president had ever thought of their individual speeches and bits of policy making as part of some larger restructuring of the American narrative, he replied, ‘We saw that as our entire job.’

It’s a fair bet that most Americans didn’t sign onto a duplicitous “larger restructuring of the American narrative” by junior fiction writers when they sent Obama to the White House in 2008. But it’s what the country got and, thanks to Rhodes’ work creating his “force multipliers” of freshly minted star journalists and partisan experts, will continue to get.

So something happened in bible study this past Sunday

We were finishing up Ephesians, Chapter 6

That's the really important part that talks about the armor of God

I was reading through the words when all of a sudden one word stood out and stuck hard in my mind. I do a security job there as well, and later on during the actual service, I just couldn't get the concept of standing tough out of my mind. Heck that's what this site is all about. Standing together, standing up for God, standing up for what's right, standing up for our wives, and children, standing with fellow brothers when they are in the fire

We Real men, Stand!

Well, all this came to me and I was writing it all down. Some I researched later, but the idea occurred to me that this ought to be a movement for men of real courage and a boldness for Jesus to stand.

What do you think? Is this something we should move on? I think the timing is perfect and the message is solid rock in a sea of shifting sand...

So here it is:

S T A N D

1 Corinthians 16:3 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Exodus 14:13
13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today
2 Chronicles 20:17
17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you
Job 11:15
15 then, free of fault, you will lift up your face;
you will stand firm and without fear.
Psalm 20:8
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
Psalm 33:11
11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
Proverbs 10:25
25 When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone,
but the righteous stand firm forever.
Proverbs 12:7
7 The wicked are overthrown and are no more,
but the house of the righteous stands firm.
Isaiah 7:9
9 …If you do not stand firm in your faith,
you will not stand at all.’”
Matthew 10:22
22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Matthew 24:13
13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be save
Luke 21:19
19 Stand firm, and you will win life.
1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 16:13
13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong
Galatians 5:1
5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Ephesians 6:14
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place
Philippians 1:27
27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel

1.   Stand one's ground:  to maintain one's position

I have been assembling a compilation of general information about how to safely and smartly 'eliminate' the factory computer (PCM) from our classic Dodge Rams, particularly on the Cummins-powered Rams.  This information is specifically intended to help those doing a Cummins conversion, however I feel the information could be beneficial to anyone with an older Ram with a PCM, or who like me considers 'wiring' to be their nemesis.

First, as you all know, these older-than-dirt computers are dying every day.  The newest of them is now 20 years old.  With the three Ramchargers I've done conversions on, my goal was to eliminate the computer controls by replacing both the sensors and receivers for the factory gauges and switches with typical off-the-shelf components found at most local parts stores or online, while also trying to retain all of the factory gauges.  We got it to about the 90% solution, and we're still working on a couple items, but we're very close to being 100% computer-free.

Eliminating the computer on a Cummins conversion is fairly straight forward, and actually makes the wiring harness much less complicated for two reasons:  There are no ‘typical’ emissions requirements with an early Cummins, and second, no ignition system.  When we did Oxx, we also went through all of the legal requirements to officially convert the title to reflect the vehicle now runs on diesel.  For the most part, every single bit of factory Ram electronic ignition and emissions equipment was no longer needed.  The early 1st Gen Cummins Rams did not have catalytic converters, no 'fast idle solenoid’, no 'lean burn', no vacuum-assisted choke...none of that.  I'll address the main components individually.  You will see me refer to “12v power” – that is “switched” power that is enabled when the ignition key switch is turned to run (and start).  You may also see me refer to “B+” power – that is direct Battery Hot power.

Fuel Shut Off Solenoid (FSO).  The FSO is what 'allows' fuel to flow, or not.  When you turn the key to run (and start) the FSO is sent 12v switched power from the main harness via the key switch, which allows the injection pump to send fuel to the injectors.  When you turn the key off, 12v power is removed and the fuel is cut off, shutting down the engine.  This is the normal operating procedure for a Cummins.  Naturally, having 12v switched power going to the Cummins engine harness (and particularly to the FSO) is essential.  This doesn't require any special switches, but it can be overlooked during a conversion.  Also, the factory used a spade terminal to attach to the FSO – we highly recommend replacing the spade terminal with a proper sized fish eye terminal and using the proper nut to retain the 12v wire securely to the FSO.  Otherwise the spade terminal can wiggle off and cause a sudden and immediate engine shut down.

Grid Heaters (toaster).  The toaster is another matter.  From the factory, it is controlled via the computer, and received signals from a couple sensors in the intake manifold.  The computer is what tells the grid heater to cycle off and on during warm-up (only when it is cold enough outside), and after things warm up the computer tells the heater to stop cycling.  You will notice the volt meter drop significantly when this is occurring.  This is normal.  But, the engine does not need the toaster to cycle itself off and on for 5 minutes during warm-up.  Soon as the engine is started and running a few seconds, the toaster is no longer needed.  Many folks disconnect it all together.  It has to be really cold (0* or less) before the toaster is 'essential' for starting the engine.  But, I like having it, so I simply took the 12v signal wire to the toaster and redirected it to my dash to a momentary switch, which only activated when I push it, and I control for how long and how often.  Also, because we used the Ram (Cummins) dash and message center, the Ram [WAIT-TO-START] light is now wired into the momentary signal wire out to the heater.  So, when the heater button is pressed, the heater relays come on and the [WAIT-TO-START] light comes on.  It’s very cool.  On the coldest days we recommend using the heater for about 15 seconds, release, and turn the key.  It’ll start – they always do, though because the fuel is also ice cold it might immediately run a bit rough and blow a bit of white smoke.  That is normal.  Once the engine is running press/hold the switch again until it smoothes out, usually in about 10 seconds.  After that, drive on – no more heater required.

KSB (Kaltstartbeschleuniger).  I'm not a true expert on the KSB, but we know it is a German device that means ‘cold-start device’  i.e. – “choke” (the 1st Gen VE44 injection pumps were manufactured by Bosch, also a German company).  The KSB is the little round component about the size of a tall shot glass mounted on the drivers’ side of the injection pump.  The KSB is used as a cold start aid.  It will advance the injection pump timing when cold, and is designed to provide substantial injection timing advance in the low engine rpms so as to improve engine operation / emissions when the engine is stone cold.  When in the engine rpms come up, the substantial timing advance tapers off to a much smaller measure of advance.  The KSB does not function after the engine coolant reaches ~160* F.  There are two versions (the early non-intercooled, and the later intercooled), and it is important to understand the differences.

VE44 Non-Intercooled KSB.
Pre '91 engines used the ‘wax motor’ type KSB, called so because a pellet of encapsulated engineering wax/plastic expanded when heated to move a plunger, which internally advanced the timing.  1988 emission requirements required the timing to be advanced when cold, to reduce white smoke.  The non-intercooled trucks have a "wax motor" that opens the bypass passage in the KSB unit.  When the ignition switch is turned ‘on’ an internal heating elementbegins to heat up the wax, the expansion of which opens the bypass.  It may also have a voltage reducing resistor, but I am not sure.  The wax motor style does not open instantly, but relies on an approximate warm-up delay to simulate the time required for the truck to warm up.  The KSB is located on the driver's side, low, and toward the front of the VE44 pump.

The earlier 89-91.5 (non-I/C) wax motor type KSB holds the valve open when cold.  When the engine is started the valve is already open, increasing timing.  As the engine warms the pellets melt and the valve closes.  This type requires 12v to close and function correctly.  Without 12v power, the KSB will remain on, which can be hard on the pump.

VE44 Intercooled KSB.
The 91.5-93 KSB works in conjunction with a thermistor sensor in the head.  When the ignition switch is in the ‘on’ position, 12v power is present at the thermistor.  When cold, the thermistor sends 12v power to the KSB solenoid, which opens the KSB.  Upon starting the engine, injection pump internal case pressure will advance the timing.  12v switched power is required for the KSB to open and function correctly, and will turn off when the thermistor sensor warms up and opens the 12v circuit, thus removing 12v power to the KSB.  If unplugged, the KSB will simply not function, which will only possibly make a difference when cold.   Under 90 deg., voltage is applied to the solenoid, blocking the fuel return path, and using internal pump fuel pressure, advances the timing slightly.  Over 90 deg., no current is applied to the KSB solenoid, fuel is allowed to return via the normal operating fuel path.  The timing advances normally thru internal porting, and sliding plunger.  Also, between the switch and the solenoid is a resistor, mounted to a bracket on the side of the head that reduces the voltage to the solenoid down to ~ 8V (when current is flowing through it & the solenoid -- if you just disconnect the wire at the solenoid you will get battery voltage).  The solenoid-operated KSB works instantly when you connect & disconnect the voltage to it -- when it is working you can hear the engine speed pick up and drop off connecting & disconnecting it.

It is not necessary for the KSB to be powered up, but it can help by advancing the fuel injection a bit.  I am working on exactly how the factory powered the KSB, and so far it is via a sensor in the intake manifold behind the turbocharger air inlet.  It is a temperature sensor that ‘allows’ 12v power to go to the KSB until such time as the sensor warms up, killing power to the KSB.  If I understand the factory wiring harness correctly, the same 12v power wire going to the FSO is also going to the KSB, only the KSB wire is routed via the temp switch.  In other words, 12v power goes to both the FSO (and KSB when cold), and then when warmed up the KSP power is switched off at the intake manifold sensor.

Speedometer / Cruise Control.  The factory electronic speedometer is tricky.  The factory used a sort of ‘Mopar-only’ signal to tell the speedo what to do with itself.  Meaning you cannot go get an aftermarket speedometer signal generator (from Autometer or Stewart Warner, for example) and tap it into the speedo – won’t work, at least we haven’t been able to make it work.  So far, my speedometer is still using the computer to tell itself what to register.  We do have other possibilities we’re looking at right now – just haven’t been able to get much further into it.  As well, the cruise also gets signal from the speedo, so the speedo and cruise require the computer to work.  I haven’t had cruise since the conversion, and I like cruise, so I am looking into a single way to both power the speedo and cruise without the computer.

Edit:  Word on the street is the computer only provides a ground signal for the speedometer circuitry to function.  We (the RCC 'collective') are looking into how to determine exactly which wire this is etc and will post back once we isolate it, ground it, and prove functionality.  If so, then the speedo only needs 12v power and a rotating tranny shaft, and the speedo and trans hardware and wiring.

Air Conditioning.   The A/C is actually pretty simple.  Basically, the PCM tells the A/C compressor to turn on, and instead of the computer doing that, just set those wires to a simple toggle switch on the dash.  I prefer a blue LED switch so I know it’s on.  Now, the trick is not leaving it on all the time – it can ice up.  The PCM cycles the compressor off and on throughout the time the A/C button is pressed in.  We simply cycle the toggle switch manually.
But, there is another option we’re looking at – a timed-delay relay.  The timed relays are designed to remain on for a predetermined amount of time.  Some are 2 minutes, some are 20 minutes, some are adjustable 0-10 minutes {cool}.  They are a ‘momentary’ relay per se.  Once you push the button, it turns on and remains on for however long the internal timer is set.  Install such a button with a blue LED on the dash and you will know it is on, and it will automatically turn itself off, letting the compressor warm up a bit.  Then, when you notice it is getting a bit warm, push the button again…and the cycle repeats for as long as you want A/C.

We like this simple adjustable unit from Waytekwire.com, #75543  -  http://www.waytekwire.com/item/75543/SOLID-STATE-OFF-DELAY-TIMER/ .  It has a 0-10 minute adjustable timer – pretty slick.

There also one we’re looking at from Wolsten Tech, http://www.wolstentech.com/products/timedelayrelay/basic-instructions.php

Voltage Regulator.   On the 90-93 Rams, the computer actually ‘is’ the voltage regulator.  There is no classic old-school voltage regulator, so, we install one.  The wiring is fairly straight forward.  Please see the attached diagram.  The same 12v switched power (originating from the fuse block) will also go the center post on the regulator, continuing on to one of the alternator field wires.  The other field wire will go to the outer post on the regulator.  That’s it.  We also highly recommend installing a completely fresh heavy gauge cable from the alternator to the battery.  The factory utilized a ‘dis-connectable’ main wire, and liked to splice all kinds of accessories into that wire.  The factory connecter joint (buried deep inside the wiring harness near the brake booster) likes to corrode and short out – not a great way to fly.

Fuel Filter Heater.  Fuel is critically important to any engine, especially true for diesels.  Having clean, warm fuel is important as diesel fuel flows much better when warm, and can get thick (and even gel up and not flow at all) if very cold outside.  To that end, the factory utilized a simple fuel heater element.  On the early 12 Valve engines, the factory fuel heater looks a lot like a hockey puck with two little wires sticking out of it.  It is attached to the bottom side of the cylinder head via a dual-thread fitting, and the fuel filter attaches to the heater, at the bottom of which is the Water-In-Fuel (WIF) switch/drain assembly.  However…as is the case with the factory PCM, the fuel heater element and WIF sensor are also becoming extinct, and there are no new versions being reproduced.  We have taken a good hard look at the actual ‘requirement’ for the factory fuel heater and WIF sensor, and have determined that fortunately...neither of them are necessary.

When very cold diesel fuel can ‘gel up’ and can actually prevent fuel from flowing.  This happens because wax crystals inherent within diesel fuel has solidified and clogged a port.  Heating the fuel helps eliminate fuel gelling.  But, the wax collects at the bottom of things, not the top, so having the fuel filter heater at the top of the filter actually provides very little real benefit.  If the heater was at the bottom of the filter, it might help some, but that’s not where the fuel is drawn from – it is drawn from the top where the fuel circulates through the cylinder head just after coming through the mechanical the lift pump.  In practicality, the cylinder head does a much better job of heating the fuel than the factory fuel heater ever could.

There is a very simple conversion that makes everything simpler, and is all on the shelves at local parts stores.  First, detach everything associated with the fuel filter/heater/WIF sensor assemblies and discard.  Next, installed into the cylinder head is a dual-thread nipple – this is what retains the original fuel heater unit to the cylinder head and also which the fuel filter screws onto.  Remove it, and replace it with another similar, shorter nipple, Cummins nipple #3925954.  Next, thread on a WIX #33472 or NAPA #3472 fuel filter (or your preferred equivalent).  These newer filters have a built-in water trap, and by simply performing normal water draining procedures at every oil change (open the drain and let a couple seconds-worth of fuel...and any water trapped at the bottom...bleed out) you'll never have a need for the factory WIF sensor or dash light.  When complete, the fuel filter will now be directly attached to the cylinder head, thus eliminating the fuel heater and WIF sensor all together.

If you are a new diesel owner, you may not know of the need to replace the fuel filter at every other oil change.  As well, draining the fuel filter a couple times a year can help eliminate collecting water in the bottom of the filter (which is where water collects when sitting for a long period of time).  Ironically, the cylinder head warms up faster than the fuel heater, and stays at a nice stable temp all the time – perfect for circulating clean fresh fuel to the injection pump.

So, to recap, remove the factory fuel filter heater/filter/WIF sensor assembly.  Remove factory fuel filter nipple and replace with Cummins nipple #3925954.  Then install a WIX #33472 or NAPA #3472 (or your preferred equivalent).  These conversion filters are functionally the same as the original, only the water drain is incorporated directly into the bottom of the filter itself and not a separate attachment.  Yes, you will lose the ‘Water-In-Fuel’ sensor ability, but if you drain your fuel filter for a few seconds twice a year you’ll never need it.  So by doing this conversion you can eliminate the requirement (and wiring) for two items that cannot be sourced anyway, and have simplified the overall operating nature of your Cummins.

Transmission Overdrive (OD) and Torque Converter Lock-Up (LU)::  1st Gen Cummins Rams had two versions of the automatic transmission; the good old ‘diesel’ 727, and the ‘diesel’ A-518 (46RH).  I highlight the word ‘diesel’ because there was also a similar (but very different) version of the 727 and A-518 available for the gasoline-powered Rams and cars.  This difference has been a source of confusion for many years.

The ‘diesel’ 727 is just that – a 3-speed automatic.  It had a 23-spline output shaft and was only available with the non-intercooled 6BT Cummins from 1989-1991.  Those model Rams also came with a front D61 axle (if 4x4) with 3.07 gears and a rear D71 axle with 3.07 gears.  These D61 and D71 axles were somewhat unpopular because of the very deep ‘airplane’ gearing.  Great for the street and highway, not great for off-road.  The diesel 727 is a very simple and very strong transmission, and without the OD tailhousing, because it is really short, it is a great option for serious Cummins-powered off-road rigs.  In 1991 the diesel A-518 (46RH) was introduced and was in use through the 1993 model year.  It also has a 23-spline output shaft.  The A-518 is also a very good transmission, both the gasser and diesel versions.  The diesel version has a bad reputation for weakness, mostly attributed to the lousy factory torque converter available at that time.  The A-518 is literally a 727 with an overdrive built into the tailhousing.  It is a non-lockup torque converter - no diesel A-518 had a lock-up converter.  Only the gasoline/small block A-518s were available with a LU converter.

When it comes to electronics and controls for the entire transmission, the diesel A-518 had three electrical plugs:  the 3-pin neutral safety switch, the speedometer electro-mechanical sending unit (2wd was electronic, 4wd was mechanical from the NP205 transfer case that was converted to electronic), and a very basic 2-pin plug, just behind the gear selector/kickdown levers.  This 2-pin plug is the one we will focus on.  The rear pin is 12v source power, and the front is the ground, which when grounded/ungrounded activates/deactivates the overdrive.  The factory PCM controlled that functionality.  We do it manually via a very simple 12v toggle switch or button ‘on the dash’.  In other words, you can control the overdrive at the touch of your finger.  We actually found a fantastic location for the overdrive button using the factory 2nd Gen (94-2002) column shifter lever.  At the tip of which is where the factory put the on-off button for locking out the overdrive.  We simply remove that button and install one very similar from Del City that is a very basic on-off button; #73556 from www.delcity.com.  This is what we use to control the ground circuit for the overdrive.

In 1994, Mopar introduced the diesel A-618, a.k.a. the 47RH.  It was literally the same thing as the A-518 but with two main differences:  It had stronger guts, and it had a LU converter.  The diesel 47RH was only around for two years, when in 1996 the 47RE was introduced.  The 47RE was available up to 2003, when the 48RE was introduced.  The major difference between the 47RH and 47RE, is the functionality of the OD and LU converter.  The 47RH and 47RE each have three similar electrical connectors on them, similar also to the 46RH, and it is important to be able to visually determine which is which when you are shopping for a transmission for your truck.  Each has the same old-school 3-pin neutral safety switch on the drivers side, just above the pan.  Each has a speedometer signal unit in the tailhousing.  And each has either a 3-pin inline or 8-pin round plug just behind the shifter/kickdown lever assembly.  This 3-pin/8-pin plug is what distinguishes a 47RH (3-pin) from a 47RE (8-pin).  Many, many people selling a transmission think their 47RE is a 47RH because (when asked) they think the 3-pin neutral safety switch ‘is’ the OD/LU switch.  It is a very common mistake, and can be an infuriating problem for buyers.  Get pics before you buy a transmission.

The 47RH is essentially also just a 727 with an overdrive bolted onto the back.  The valve body/1-2-3 shifting etc are all controlled by a hydraulic governor assembly located within the tailhousing unit behind the overdrive.  The overdrive and converter lockup are controlled via the 3-pin connector.  The center pin is 12v and the two outer pins are ground (front is OD, back is LU).  The OD and LU are typically controlled via the PCM – taking drivers inputs, heat, all sorts of signal inputs etc, and eventually grounding the two outer pins when the PCM says so.  Well,…that can be done manually via two little toggle switches on the dash.  Meaning, you can eliminate every single sensor and the PCM, and have a toggle switch (or any other switch of your choice), and manually control the overdrive and lockup to engage and disengage exactly when you want.  If you never hook up switches to the OD and LU the transmission will still shift through 1-2-3 just like any other 727.  But, the 47RE does not operate that way – it requires the factory PCM for it to operate normally because it has an electronic governor.  This is the main reason why most people doing a diesel conversion prefer the 46RH (A-518) and 47RH (A-618) over the 47RE (A-618).

To control the OD and LU simply requires two little toggle switches somewhere within easy reach of the driver.  When you want the overdrive to engage, hit the switch.  When you want to engage the lock-up, hit the other switch.  It’s primitive, yes, but very easy and 100% effective.  Just don’t forget to turn them off when you start slowing down for a red light, especially the LU.  If you don’t disengage it, it could stall the engine.

Now, what about an ‘automatic’ way to control the OD and LU?  That…is one of the items at the top of our list, and we think we have a way to do it, using off-the-shelf hardware from B&M.  We are still verifying it will work, but the theory is sound.  B&M produces a ‘Torque Converter Lock-up Controller’ #70244 and 70248 for a Chevy application, which simply sends a 12v signal to the trans at a pre-determined speed.  The signal comes from the transmission speedometer signal generator, and at a certain speed the controller sends 12v signal to the transmission which activates, in this case, the LU.

The difference between the Chevy application and the Dodge application, is that Chevy's are factory engineered to use 12v signal to activate their OD and LU, whereas a Dodge is factory engineered to use a ground signal to activate their OD and LU.  It's essentially the same difference.  We are confinced, however, that the Dodge 2 and 3-pin plugs can very simply be 'reverse-wired', so that instead of the center pin going to 12v power, the center pin can be set to ground, and then the two outer pins for OD and LU can be triggered via input 12v signal, which is exactly how the B&M controller is designed to operate.  The question of whether or not the Dodge solenoids can be reverse-wired seems sound, because all they are are electromagnets which close when triggered, and it should not make any difference whether or not the pins are reversed - the same effect should happen.  We have yet to do this mod and therefore cannot say it works for 100% certain, but the math adds up.

Low Fuel Light.  The [Low Fuel] light is an important feature.  On a Ramcharger (gasser) harness, the low fuel feed wire from the gas tank comes up into the chassis/body harness and is originally supposed to go to the fuel pump.  According to the wiring diagrams, the diesel and gasser tanks have the same wires coming off the sending unit, but one of the wires has dissimilar functions - on a gasser it goes to the fuel pump, on a diesel it signals the low fuel light.  A diesel-powered Ram does not use an electronic fuel pump, so we repurposed the wire direct to the [Low Fuel] display on the dash message center.  Worked perfectly.

High Beams:   One of the ‘other’ upgrades we did was to ‘re-purpose’ the high beam switch from our 1993 Ramcharger.  I dislike having the high beam switch on the turn signal - I much prefer it on the floor, like in the older Rams and Power Wagons.  After sourcing a floor-mount high beam switch/wiring from the junk yard, we spliced the required 12v power (from the floor switch) into the same wire as the original Ramcharger turn sig switch (in the steering column wiring harness, 18g green wire), cut the two output low and high beam wires coming out the column switch, and wired the floor switch into those loose wires.  Doing this re-directed the Hi/Lo beam function down to the floor switch, while using the original 12v feed wire as original.  But, the Ramcharger turn signal switch is still a perfectly good switch, so we decided to power something else with it - the fog lights.  What was the "high beams" is now my fog lights.  The original low beam wire now has no use and is just snipped off, and the "high beam" output wire now powers the fogs.  Each of those – Hi and Lo beam, and fog lights are actually powered by relays under the hood, which will in turn power the lights.  It also means the “Flash-to-Pass” feature of the turn signal switch now ‘flashes’ the fog lights momentarily, unless I pull back all the way and actually latch the switch, at which point the fog lights remain on, just like how the high beams would otherwise function.  See below for an explanation of relays.

Additional headlight switch tech -

One of the things to point out is that the 1993 turn signal/high beam/flasher switch/lever/assembly is really three switches in one - four if you count the washer...and they each apparantly have their separate power sources.

If I've decoded the switch correctly...there are 5 separate power sources into it - 12v ignition (presumably) for the turn signals and washers (red/white and a blue wire), headlight power (green), flash-to-pass (green/white), and hazards (red).

The issue was, the solid green wire coming into the turn signal lever switch is powered only when the headlights are on.  That same green wire also powers the foot pedal switch for the hi-lo beams, and works as it should, when the headlights are on.

What I needed was for the high-beam switch to be powered when 12v ignition is on, not just with the headlights.  So, I cut the main green wire into the switch [after the splice for the foot pedal], and wired the remaining input green wire to 12v ignition.  Now, the factory high beam switch powers the fog lights any time the key is on.  It could power any 'feature' you wish - in my case I wanted it to the fogs.

But we also discovered something else.  The flash-to-pass function comes from a separate green/white wire (which is B+ hot), and when the lever was pulled all the way back it was sending B+ hot to the ignition harness, which isn't exactly what we want to have happen .  So, I cut/terminated the green/white into the turn sig lever....and now everything works exactly as I want.

If my figuring is correct, there is a pink wire which is the hot 'feed' for the hazzard flashers.
There is a red-white and a blue wire each that are 12v ignition feeds, presumably for the turn signal switch and washer switch.

So, in the end, what I wired up was a foot-mounted high-beam dimmer switch, using the green feed wire as the [headlight-on-only] power wire which sends signal to the the low and high beam wiring via original red/orange (high) and voilet/white (low).

Then I wanted the original high-beam lever to turn my fog lights on and off.  To do that I cut the green power wire and sourced it to 12v ignition power, and ran a separate wire for the fog lights.  And to keep the 'flash-to-pass' green/white B+ battery power from back feeding into the 12v ignition system I cut the green/white B+ wire from coming into the turn signal/high/beam switch.

This now works perfectly, and there are no shorts or unnecessary power feeds.

Batteries.   We always recommend dual batteries to all 1st Gen owners.  The factory only had a single battery, which is ‘okay’ for most climates, but if your area can see 0* temps a second battery can make all the difference between a good start-up and a bad start-up.

Chassis and Dash Wiring.  When we did the conversion on Oxx, we wanted to build the truck so that the wiring and chassis were ‘factory-appearing’, to have the truck function and look as if the factory had actually built it.  In the end, we got very close to that goal.  Mechanical is pretty basic; electrical is the trick.  To that end we retained the Ramcharger’s dash wiring harness and ‘augmented’ it with the ‘diesel’ stuff, mostly the dash and message center, and associated wiring.

We decoded the wiring harnesses of both the Ramcharger and the donor truck, in our case a 1991 Cummins Ram W250.  We were pretty sure we could simply and literally plug in the diesel engine bay harness to the Ramcharger firewall bulkhead connector and have the truck run.   We discovered the firewall bulkhead connector is fairly ‘generic’, meaning the ‘diesel stuff’ does not have a ‘gasser’ equivalent, meaning the firewall bulkhead connectors on the gasoline-powered Rams (and Ramchargers) are vacant where the diesel wiring would otherwise be.  The gasoline and diesel connectors are the same for things like the lights, wipers, door locks, horn, cruise control, etc - gas or diesel doesn't matter.  About the only thing we eliminated altogether was the anti-lock brake stuff - it never worked anyway.

One interesting feature; within the message center on our 1993 Ramcharger there is a [GATE OPEN] light, whereas on the diesel version of the same message center, because they were all pick-ups, there was the [ANTI LOCK] light for the brakes.  Same bulb location, different function.  Since the Ramcharger wiring was designed to recognize the gate is open, we simply wired up the Cummins message center so that the anti-lock light will come on when the lift gate is ajar.  In other words, when the Ramcharger’s lift gate is open, the signal still goes to the original location at the message center, but instead of displaying [GATE OPEN] it now displays [ANTI-LOCK].  It has actually been a very nice feature to tell me the Ramcharger lift gate is not fully closed.  It works great.

By combining the diesel dash harness (and dash) with the original Ramcharger harness, and by using the diesel engine bay harness, the Ramcharger now functions as if it came from the factory with a Cummins – like it had originally been built that way – just how we wanted it.

Accessory Wiring.  It is very common to see factory wiring harness with additional accessories tapped into them.  Sometimes there are so many other things being powered by a single glass fuse you wonder how the fuse block hasn’t melted.  In some cases, they have.  In worst cases, they’ve caught fire.  Wiring harness fires are no fun, and easy to avoid.

Every vehicle has its own factory wiring harness.  We recommend those remain 100% ‘unmolested’.  If you want to install additional accessories like gauges, power ports, heated seats, selectable lockers, or independent ignition systems (in gas engine vehicles), we fully recommend installing a fully stand-alone wiring harness (or two) to ‘power’ all of your accessories.  Most times, we fabricate a stand-alone electrical power center (we call them a ‘sub-station’), where we have solid B+ and 12V power sources and a good ground.  From these ‘sub-stations’ we get all power for all of the additional accessories, and biggest of which are powered via relays.  Doing this isolates the factory fuse block and leave it alone so it can continue to properly power the items for which it was originally intended.  This commonly prevents overheating conditions and can obviously help prevent under hood/dash fires.

Relays.   In general terms, a relay is simply a very stable ‘alternate source’ for battery power – a source other than the factory fuse block.  You may have noticed that in the older cars and trucks, when driving at night with the headlights on, the headlight switch actually gets pretty warm, even hot to the touch.  Well, ever wonder why?  Ever think ‘that’s just not right’?  The reason this happens is because 100% of the power needed to power the headlights…is all coming through that little 35-year-old headlight switch, and with a little glass fuse somewhere in the fuse block saying ‘…please kill me’.  When the headlights are switched on, the headlight switch takes fuse block power and sends it all the way back out to your headlights.  That is a lot of amperage coming from the battery through the firewall bulkhead connector (via the fusible links), into your dash harness, into/out of the headlight switch, and back out through another wire through the bulkhead connector…and then finally on to the headlights.  There is a lot of resistance going on through all of that re-routing, and it creates a lot of heat, and it can all be simply eliminated...by using a little $5 relay.

It works simply like this.  Headlights (for example) require a lot of amperage to ‘turn on’ – a relay requires almost none.  When wired up properly, a relay is wired in-line with the output wire to the headlights, and instead of your headlight switch sending lots of amps to the headlights, it will instead be sending very few amps to a relay, which will turn ‘on’.  When turned on, the relay takes another pre-wired heavy gauge input power source (usually directly from the batteries), and sends that power directly to the headlights.  The headlight switch turns on the relay, which turns on your headlights – directing fresh battery power straight to the headlights, bypassing the entire factory wiring harness.

We have relays on both the Hi and Lo beam circuits, as well as the fog lights and air compressor.  You have noticed that at night the headlights will ‘dim down’ when you come to an idle.  That is because the alternator is having a difficult time powering everything on the whole vehicle from the same source – the factory fuse block.  This is a common cause of electrical fires, and is compounded every time another accessory is added to the factory harness.  By utilizing independent ‘sub-stations’ you can completely eliminate over-stressing the factory harness, and power all of your accessory items from a separate power station.

Most of our builds have three separate wiring harnesses.  The factory harness, a sub-station under the hood, and a sub-station inside the vehicle.  Each has dedicated power cables coming direct from the battery, with a mega battery-disconnect switch on each power cable so we can kill power to the vehicle in the event of an electrical fire or overheat condition.  Being able to manually disconnect battery power to the vehicle can make all the difference in avoiding a vehicle fire.

Hide Site / Home made cistern

I am looking at water containment and storage tanks for the hide. I want to have several, in case one or more are compromised. Cost is always a factor, as I am doing this all as cheaply as possible so that it might all be affordably duplicated by folks here.

So I was over at TSC (Tractor Supply Company) looking at plastic tanks. The 1050 gallon tank I think I could use for the shed was a reasonable $799, but that is still a bit spendy. The gentleman helping me asked what was it for. After an explanation, he said his buddy is doing what I am doing and built this tank from culvert pipe. He gave me a reference, and well, here I am:

OBAMA WINS HIS WAR ON U.S. MILITARY
Exclusive: Joseph Farah says president 'has done what no foreign enemy could'
 JOSEPH FARAH

Congratulations are in order for Barack Obama.

The American military has never been beaten on the battlefield by any foe in any war.

But Obama’s eight-year war on the U.S. military has been a total success. By stripping it of its resources, demoralizing its soldiers, sailors and airmen, by purging its best commanders, Obama has done what no foreign enemy could do in 240 years.

He’s destroyed it.

That’s the assessment of U.S. military chiefs who testified before Congress last week and told slack-jawed members they have grave concerns about their ability to fight a war against any committed enemy – Russia, China, Iran or even North Korea.

They openly expressed worries about a lack of resources and training that would be necessary in any such fight.

U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley told the House Armed Services Committee hearing that he had deep concerns about the military’s readiness if America was to fight a “great power war” with China, Russia, Iran or North Korea.

Gen. Milley said the Army “is not at the levels that can execute satisfactorily … in terms of time, cost in terms of casualties or cost in terms of military objectives.”
Air Force Secretary Deborah James – who was also speaking at the hearing – said half of her combat forces were not “sufficiently ready” for fighting against a country like Russia.
She said: “Money is helpful for readiness, but freeing up the time of our people to go and do this training is equally important.”

Earlier this month, Air Force officials admitted they were facing a shortage of more than 500 fighter pilots – a gap expected to increase to more than 800 by 2022.

Concern over a more assertive Russia was highlighted earlier this month by Air Force Gen. Philip Breedlove, who branded Russia a “long-term existential threat to the United States.”
“Our ability to meet other regional requirements for major contingency plans, we would be able to do that, but we probably would not be able to do that in the time frame that the current plans call for us to arrive to participate in that conflict,” Gen. Robert Neller testified.

The Marines would “surge” in such a fight, Neller said, and “provide the best, ready force that we can because that’s what you expect from your Marine Corps.”
“If that were to happen, I would have grave concerns about the readiness of our force: to deal with that in a timely manner,” Milley said. “The cost in terms of time, troops and the ability to accomplish military objectives would be very significant.”

Milley added: “The United Sates Army right now, you can take it to the bank, is ready to fight ISIS, al-Qaida, al-Nusra and any other terrorist group. When we talk about risk, we’re talking about great-power war with one or two countries: China, Russia, Iran and North Korea.”

“We can collectively roll the dice and say those days will never come, and that’s a course of action; that is not a course of action I would advise,” Milley said. “There is a high level of risk associated with those contingencies right now.”

The Army, the largest of the armed forces, tackles 46 percent of demand from regional combatant commands and has suffered the majority of the casualties over the last 15 years, Milley said.

The military’s anti-terrorism and counterinsurgency focus of the last 15 years has shortchanged the Army’s training and preparedness to fight high-end threats, hybrid threats, enemy artillery and enemy electronic warfare, Milley said.

In the Marine Corps, deployment rates are similarly stressing people and equipment, particularly aviation platforms, which Neller said are undergoing a widespread overhaul. The service needs to repair old aircraft – an activity that is fully funded in the 2017 budget proposal – and buy new aircraft.

Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, touted the rising number of military aircraft accidents as a symptom of an underfunded military and waning readiness. Both Neller and Milley said they were concerned by the trend.

The Army’s mishap rate rose from 1.52 per 100,000 flight hours in 2014 to 1.99 in 2016, Thornberry said. The Marine Corps’ mishap rate climbed from an annual average of 2.15 mishaps per 100,000 flying hours of the last 10 years to 3.96 in 2016.

The Marine Corps was closely tracking the accidents, but the Marines, Neller said, “don’t have enough airplanes to meet the training requirements for the entire force.”
Sounds serious, right?

Did you hear this on ABC, NBC or CBS? How about CNN or Fox News? Did you read about it in the New York Times or Washington Post? Neither did I.

I wonder why? It’s an election year, isn’t it?

Shouldn’t the American people know about the purposeful dismantling of the American military machine?

Faith Discussion / How Cool is God?

I have been wanting to do this for awhile

Ever been a part or witness God at work?

Ever seen anything from a stranger answering the question you've been asking yourself, to a "miraculous" something that saves someone?

I think it would be totally uplifting to share this with others

So to start it off, check it out. On my cell phone, in the message page, and in the block where I'd normally type a message, is a message. I didn't type it, but it's there

Exactly as it appears:

Phillippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Jesus Christ!

Faith Discussion / Mahdi...End times thoughts
« on: April 18, 2016, 10:28:44 AM »
I was thinking, a prayerful thinking about our future. Then just like a light bulb turned on. I realized that Iran will get the bomb
I felt at that time that they name it, "The Mahdi" and explode it about a mile above Tel Aviv
That will set the entire earth on fire in a calamity which we will wipe away any vestiges of what we know of safety, peace, calm, reason, or security.

Found the following article:

Muslims see the Mahdi as a savior who will lead a global revolution and establish a worldwide Islamic empire. The Mahdi will rule the Earth as the final Caliph of Islam (a caliph is both a political ruler and a spiritual representative of Allah on Earth).

Muslims revere Jesus (whom they call Isa) as the Masih or Messiah. In Islamic eschatology, the Mahdi will arrive at the same time that Isa returns. Isa will descend to Earth in Syria, east of Damascus, dressed in yellow robes, and will assist the Mahdi, who will rule over the world for seven years (or, in some Islamic traditions, nine or 19 years). At the end of the Mahdi's rule, there will be a Day of Judgment for the entire human race.

The parallels between the biblical Antichrist and the Mahdi of Islam are chilling. Both are associated with the End Times and the Judgment. Both are said to possess political, military and religious power, and head up a one-world religion. The Mahdi will force all non-Muslim people to convert to Islam. Like the Antichrist, the Mahdi will establish Jerusalem as his capital, from which he will rule the Earth.

Islamic scholars Muhammad ibn Izzat and Muhammad Arif write, in Al Mahdi and the End of Time: "The Mahdi will be victorious and eradicate those pigs and dogs and the idols of this time so that there will once more be a caliphate based on prophethood as the hadith states. ... Jerusalem will be the location of the rightly guided caliphate and the center of Islamic rule, which will be headed by Imam al-Mahdi. ... That will abolish the leadership of the Jews ... and put an end to the domination of the Satan who spit evil into people and cause corruption in the earth, making them slaves of false idols and ruling the world by laws other than the Sharia [Islamic law] of the Lord of the worlds."

Though Muslims revere Jesus as a prophet, they deny that Jesus is the Son of God. Jews and Christians are, to Muslim fundamentalists, "pigs and dogs" who must either convert to Islam or be eliminated. Bible prophecy makes it clear that the Antichrist will target Jews and Christians for destruction, just as Islamic prophecy states that the Mahdi will wage war against Jews and Christians. Those who oppose the Antichrist's worldwide religion will be executed.

Muslim scholar Imam Muhammad Baqir states clearly how the Mahdi will establish his one-world religion: "There must be bloodshed and jihad to establish Imam Mahdi's rule." And Ayatollah Ibrahim al Amini of the Religious Learning Center in Qom, agrees: "The Mahdi will offer the religion of Islam to the Jews and Christians; if they accept it, they will be spared. Otherwise they will be killed."

Daniel tells us (and Jesus affirms in the Olivet Discourse) that the Antichrist will establish "the abomination that causes desolation" in the Temple in Jerusalem. The apostle Paul adds that the Antichrist "will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God" (2 Thess. 2:4). Since the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D., as Jesus predicted, this has led some (not all Christians) to suggest that the Jewish Temple must be rebuilt on Temple Mount before the Antichrist can be revealed to the world.

Yet the golden-topped Dome of the Rock shrine and the Al-Aqsa mosque stand on Temple Mount today. One of the Islamic Hadiths (traditions) records that their Prophet Muhammad said, "[Armies carrying] black flags will come from Khurasan [Iran and Afghanistan], no power will be able to stop them, and they will finally reach Eela [the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem] where they will erect their flags." In Islamic tradition, black banners symbolize violent conquest, and Muslims await the Mahdi's conquest of Jerusalem, when he establishes his reign from the Temple site.

Daniel 9:27 tells us the Antichrist will establish a seven-year covenant with Israel—but he will break the covenant after three-and-a-half years, defiling the Temple with "an abomination that causes desolation." The Hadiths of Islam also speak of a seven-year covenant that the Mahdi makes with Israel: "The Prophet said: There will be four peace agreements between you and the Romans. The fourth will be mediated through a person who will be from the progeny of Hadrat Aaron [Honorable Aaron, the brother of Moses] and will be upheld for seven years."

There can be no doubt: Muslims are preparing to accept the Mahdi as their leader—and the Mahdi is indistinguishable from the world leader we know as the Antichrist.

Humor, Good Stuff, and Red Neck Practices! / Pilot in the Family?
« on: April 18, 2016, 09:33:11 AM »

Once upon a time, after the Big War, there was this scud running former fighter pilot caught by nightfall's rapid approach with commensurately dwindling visibility, better find a field FAST!

Our intrepid aviator at the last minute got a glimpse of a field of new mown hay through a hole in the clouds. Relieved at his good fortune, he landed and taxied up to the nearby farmhouse.

The farmer came out onto the front porch and says, "You can spend the night in the barn, but stay away from my daughter."

As he lay down, starting to doze off, said daughter brought him a plate of supper. The conversation led to romance and the farmer's number one rule was broken.

As dawn broke our hero got long gone.

Some  seven years later, the pilot passed over the farm and decided to land and pay a visit.   However, as he approached the house he saw a six-year-old boy standing in the front yard with the object of his former passion.

The daughter, sensing his question said, "Yes, this is your son.”

"Why didn't you let me know, I would've done the right thing," he said.

The daughter then replied, "We discussed it, even prayed about it, but in the end we thought it was better to have a bastard in the family than a pilot.”

Build Threads / 2016 Rubicon GJ
« on: April 11, 2016, 09:31:59 AM »
So this will be the beginning of my, well her (maybe ours??) GJ (Girly Jeep)

Ya so you all know the story of my Toureg that couldn't...

Couldn't live with all that, so I'm getting rid of the VW and that lying company with the hippie green peace face!

We are picking up a 2016 JK, well GJ Rubicon. There are some things to still work out, however I started out with a rag top 16 Ruby, a local thing and was workin' the deal

The salesman demo'd the top removal, and that was that. With those flimsy zippers, it was on to a removable hardtop. Second thing...I had selected one with the cloth seats, but the lady of the casa nixx'd that. Nope, gotta have heated leather, electric curling irons, the optional make-up carousel, and vanity mirrors at every corner...Hence: The GJ!

We found another. It is located some 250 miles away. Hard top, all the Ruby stuff, all the girly stuff, and a hard top which is resistant to gunfire, up to Crossman BB guns, I think!

I wanted the D44 axles and little more. To get the only thing in the whole toy that had any strength at all, one has to buy everything else cosmetic and fake...Ya know, just to make you feel better about stepping out into the wild (Man's world) and away from the safety of our Bernie Sanders Culture. Of course, She wanted to attach a beauty salon to that, so we are buying something I will never drive, unless someone start to think I'm going for the Bruce Jenner to Catlin' thing.

I will get stuck working on it of course. And I'll be forced to smile up the place, placidly and quietly while on one of those hardcore off road weekends when I get to take off the top and sit in it with the kiddies while driving down a county road. Other than that, I plan to avoid it... Like a gay bar! I don't like heeps. I owned two real CJ Jeeps, which I wheeled constantly, wreckin' and rollin em over to the point I'd stop with the body repairs. That was then (A better day???) Now we have the JK. All the looks with none of the performance, Like I always say, "The fake and plastic fantastic sleep machine!"

It's a jeep thing ya know, you wouldn't get it! Well, when it comes to Wranglers, neither do I! All these new girly things share in common with their WW2 predecessors is that they carry (girly) men around to get their man buns done up and toes pedicured or manicured (Whichever of those words that pertains to feets) Oh and the fact that some of those those girly men do on occasion play modern warfare, so other than picking up carpal tunnel syndrome injuries, about 30 extra pounds of fat, and PTSD from being reconstituted too many times last night while playing, these warriors of new resemble (From a great distance) the warriors of old who validated the real jeep thing.

So, ya, I guess I'm gettin one...

Details: Engine: Mini van mill
Torque: 17 ft lbs
Horsepower: Claimed 112
Ground clearance: 3.2"
Departure angle: Can clear most speed bumps
Axle strength: You don't mention axle strength and jeep in the same sentence!
People capacity: 4 men of old, 4 modern day fat girls, or are those fat boys...can't quite make them out...
Over all rating: Excellent: Gets one from Zales to Kohls, back home to QVC safely and without anyone noticing
Known danger: The vehicle is capable of putting the driver or passerby's who unfortunately found themselves staring at it...to sleep, due to lack of stimulus!
Suspension travel: Already told you...It can get from the jewelry store to the salon, so the suspension definitely can travel!

I'd say it is a great starting point (To someday melt down and make a good 1/2" ratchet drive set.

Good Question!

I've been all over the world, like seven times...

I am one of those guys who will just sit down with a group of people and start talking...people I've never seen before. Meet them on God's level where we are all equal. I have been the benefactor of a great deal of wisdom from those times, and some of it from my enemies who I was starin' in the eyeball from two feet away. He knowin' I was there to kill him and he was studying me cause he wanted to do the same to me. Lots of truth coming out of times like that

So a Colonel from the SF community I know sends me thins and, well, it makes sense:

Hand Tools, Power Tools, Welders, etc / Predator Generator
« on: April 01, 2016, 10:55:40 AM »
So I am looking at the 2K generators...again. In the past I went through the Honda iu2000 and companion. But at $2000, that's ridiculous.
During the winter months, I think I could run the camper on maybe 2000 watts, since it is mostly propane this and that.
Harbor Freight just came up with this little model for $499. Reading about it, the thing seems somewhat competitive, although it does not couple with another like the Hondas and others to make a 4K unit

I think I can get with these interpretations and applications of the practices.
